I believe this real player experience. Meanwhile in Dead By Daylight, 1 in 3 matches someone has the fucking pride charms on their belt or killer hook, minimum. It's often much more common.

In case you don't know, Runescape died a while ago. This is Runescape's second chance. When they pushed the game into the new RS3 engine, added MTX, then the Combat Evolved update, the game just flatlined. They got desperate and decided to do an event where they rebooted the game, exactly as it was in 2007. Fresh start, clean slate, everyone gets to play like they're a kid again.

Then it stuck. People were having fun and OSRS overtook RS3 in popularity. Well, you can't just close the fucking thing when it's making you six figures a month all of a sudden.

So what they did is promise to not fuck it up again? They put everybody's minds at ease that they wouldn't surprise players with bad updates again. Every update would be passed by democracy. Polls and poll items for every single change, and those changes MUST have a super majority (either 66% or 75%, it's really high).

This is the level of specificity that exists in these polls. Every single change, pre-announced, discussed, polled, then implemented only with a huge majority.

Guess what change wasn't polled? All the fag shit. Because the OSRS players don't want fag shit. They don't want fag capes, they don't want fag pronouns, they don't want Body Type A/B, they don't want 15 year old quests changed so you don't have to marry a prince or princess opposite your gender.

Jagex doesn't care. "Fuck you, losers! Eat our fat retarded British cocks! You invested tens of thousands of hours into our product and have paid us thousands over decades since you were old enough to beg your mom for her credit card, but eat shit!!! fuck you!!!!"

Everything must be changed, all things be they in the future, present, or 20+ years ago, must be ruined to satisfy gross retard ogre trannies.

last time jagex was sold it went for an estimated 1 billion GBP according to the first couple of sources i clicked on from a search, and runescape is their only successful ip, so you're probably gonna have to cough up elon musk tier money to rip it from the hands of the investment firms
 
I've been checking YouTube every once in a while searching "OSRS Pronouns" and looking at some of the larger OSRS youtuber pages to see if any of them are talking about this, and I haven't seen one who has touched it yet. Probably shouldn't be surprised but I am a little bit, if you go to certain parts of the game players are often seen having based-ish conversations. Has anyone seen any of the larger OSRS creators post anything? Just curious.
Also obligatory fuck Jamflex. Literally unplayable.

Sometimes they take the pozzing to such lenghts that it's honestly shocking to me how anyone can be offended by these things. For example, on the image that I posted, the "Kiss the Frog" random event is just an event that spawns some frogs around you and you have to find the Frog Prince/Princess (Used to depend on your gender, i.e: You get the princess if you are a male).

Now it doesn't depend on the gender so you can get either one and because I think they thought nobody wanted their male character to kiss a male frog they made it so you can complete the event by just patting the frogs in the head (Instead of kissing them which is the whole point because it's meant to mirror the Frog and the Princess tale).

There are some other changes like Gypsy Aris' name being changed to just Aris and when people talk about her, they refer to her as "Fortune-Telling Aris" because I guess one person got offended by the term "Gypsy". There have been plenty of mini-changes like this that no one asked for to list.

In RS3 they changed the name of all of the people named Ali in Pollnivneach. The joke referring to how alot of Arabs are Muhammad and the quest joking by having people with variations of the name and the whole thing being part of a cunning tourist scam.

For some reason it was preserved in OSRS.

Don’t expect any of the big content creators to touch the tranny question with a 10ft pole, it’s career suicide in so many peoples eyes, the only person you can really expect would be Odablock but the Reddit community side of OSRS have the same rule about him so it would just be an echo chamber 🤷.

All the big content creators just want to click screen and make money doing it, hell most of them can’t even generate enough thought into an actual series that isn’t just a copy paste of something someone or they themselves already did.

There’s no huge incentive for them to be a voice of reason when all they currently need to do is shut up and get those exp gains and clogs

Other thing I thought of is I regularly shit talk people who crash my spot or try to PK me in the wildy by calling them "gay" or saying things like "pride month is in June, it's (insert month here), stop it". The screenshot of Ash saying they might make misgendering a banable offense in the future sucks because they could come down on shit talking like this too. Fuck that, that's gay. I don't want to play runescape if there's no shit talking.

again, why? Its a silly game thats just full of shitposters, hell the main f2p server is full of nothing but shitposters, and from what I gather thats also where most of the osrs youtubers chill.

I must thank Mod Ash, his smug enthusiasm around people like me leaving and taking our money has made it easy. I hope the inevitable grooming scandal opens his eyes (assuming he's not involved).
