That's the thing: the vast majority of the community doesn't want this shit and refuses to interact with it. I struggle to think of a time I've seen ANYONE in the game wearing any of the pride stuff in a context that wasn't mocking it.
this story is particularly funny to me, i remember the drama well. the green pixel was accidentally removed in an update, completely unintentionally and nobody at jagex even realised it until it was pointed out. it was apparently never actually there in the original icon file on their end, but something happened to it when it was uploaded to the skill menu or whatever (i have no idea how this works behind the scenes, to be honest. maybe some sort of compression, since runescape was originally designed to run on dialup and had to make everything as small a download as possible?) and the green pixel was a consequence of that. it should have been manually added to the original source icon when people complained, but it never was
