Yeah, that's new and neat I guess.

I'd like to refer people to this particular update, literally called "Diversity & Incusion Changes". They made a lot of changes for DEI reasons, including old, iconic quests where being a man or a woman would lock you out of certain things which was fine considering there was a mechanic to change your gender in a whim.

One of the most hillarious changes includes a town of sand people where everyone was called Ali, which was part of a joke during a quest where an entire town pretty much tricks you to solve their bandit problem. Another quest required you to marry into loyalty to have your own kingdom to gather resources from, now you can literally just "be best friends" with either the prince or the princess (also doesn't matter anymore since they also changed that too) and not marry them.

Many NPCs like guards, farmers, or just anyone carrying a weapon would be male, now they added female counterparts just because.

I guess they somewhat realized that these are not taken well by the community anymore so they just resorted to sneaking a couple of things in each update, it's really sad that you cannot even preserve anything from an era of time where the Internet wasn't gay. They won't let you.

Here is a list of all the pozzing that has taken place in the game. I can't believe people get paid to scour things to get offended at.

The answer to this problem will always be private servers. No corporation will ever love an old product as much as its original consumers.

Hate, hate, hate.

More seriously, I am actually surprised that Runescape only died recently instead of in th early 2010s at latest.
What is even worse is, of course, not jus the added pronouns but also the whole betrayal aspect: he outright defied the normal, invariable polling on even the smallest changes because of the suggestion of 1 person with a change that, despite what social media insists, is going to cause an enormous outrage on both sides.
I wan to say that is a marketing ploy in getting others on RS3, but I feel that he truly, honestly believes that he is acting on 'basi compassion'.
...now that I mention this, I feel tha this could be a ploy in rooting ou 'TERFS', ince those who hate the pronoun change would move on RS3, which would identify them on being hostile to the pronoun change.

Now I wonder what do you wan to do to TyquanSantana.

Technically OSRS isn’t really dying we are in the summer boost currently but the game has grown a fair bit pre summer sub boost

Rs3 recently released a survey asking players if they want MTX removed from RS3

Sometimes they take the pozzing to such lenghts that it's honestly shocking to me how anyone can be offended by these things. For example, on the image that I posted, the "Kiss the Frog" random event is just an event that spawns some frogs around you and you have to find the Frog Prince/Princess (Used to depend on your gender, i.e: You get the princess if you are a male).

Now it doesn't depend on the gender so you can get either one and because I think they thought nobody wanted their male character to kiss a male frog they made it so you can complete the event by just patting the frogs in the head (Instead of kissing them which is the whole point because it's meant to mirror the Frog and the Princess tale).

There are some other changes like Gypsy Aris' name being changed to just Aris and when people talk about her, they refer to her as "Fortune-Telling Aris" because I guess one person got offended by the term "Gypsy". There have been plenty of mini-changes like this that no one asked for to l

I really like this quote about integrity in media preservation. This idea that we should keep older media unredacted has already became antiquated. Really depressing that a company that sells nostalgia doesn't see the value in keeping the product of its time that people were fond of it in,

i have been playing this game on and off for almost 20 years without getting muted. a couple of months ago i got a first offense 1 week mute for saying 2 negative comments about trannies while chopping yews.

So many classic, and beloved video games falling to the tranny menace. Seemingly, the best way to play a game soon would be a tabletop rpg with your buddies, using GURPS or your own custom (not 5e cus gay). Better gatekeeping, playing with your pals, no grinds for 1% extra damage, and most importantly no troons, and they can't force themselves into your own circle.

To break away from this topic, who remembers jamming out to these when we were kids?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9JnH4M8mlZADon't fucking lie to me
guilty as charged, i fucking loved that shit when i was a kid

it was the proto youtuber shit but much more earnest. tehnoobshow, that fat faggot skychi, v1nch3nz0, iciceberg, the list goes on. it had SOVL
i used to download their videos, convert them and upload them to my creative zen vision M to watch them at school. it took me a lot of practice to learn how to convert video for that thing lol.

Why does every single fucking indie dev and or niche game dev do this? They jack off every single bad idea in the book and put it into the game regardless of what the player base thinks and ignore genuinely good ideas. It's a fucking pattern I see over and over again.
The exact thing that the culture war people are constantly pointing to: consulting firms. Companies that bill themselves as being sooper smrt and in touch and claim that they totally know how devs should do their job better than the devs do.
Just look at theme park mmos and the shift in expansion models.
>anet decides to switch to an annual mini-expac model for gw2
>at the exact same time, blizzard is switching models to the exact same model for tww

You think identical policy changes that occur simultaneously without an exterior event to cause it happen as a pure coincidence? No, it's one consulting firm getting an idea in their head, packaging the idea as a 'product's and then selling it to multiple competing businesses.

What I will never get: Troons are people Born with gender xy or xx, but want be accepted as gender xx or xy. So why the fuck don't you take your desired gender in a game and roleplay as that and you can be happy, then opposite to reality, in a game you are actually a dude or a chick, and everybody sees you as this. I will never get this.

Because then they are just another female character. It isn't about being the gender they want to be, its making sure everyone knows they are special. These people are narcissistic sociopaths.

FFXIchads stay winning. 22 years going strong and no gay shit. Only notable exception I can think of is Mayakov, and his gayness is secondary. He's more there for comic relief.

Never played RS but always respected it. I suspect most people that enjoy RS would enjoy FFXI. Plenty of grind to be had, but massive QoL updates over the years have eliminated the bullshit between 'want thing' -> 'do thing,' mostly centered around travel.

XIV, on the other hand, succumbed to the tranny mob and had gay shit shoehorned in, like crossdressing. Don't ever go to Balmung server.

Now that I jinxed it, I'm sure an update is coming that addresses 41% of players...
