His understanding of DID, like his understanding of most things he considers himself, is superficial/inaccurate at its best and back-asswards wrong at its worst. In addition to what you mentioned, he also talks about dissociation as if it's something he dictates ie "Im not not comfortable right now, so xochil's coming out".Isn't a big part of that disorder supposed to be like memory loss or unawareness of the other identity's activity?
Sounds very cis male-ish to me.That's all it takes for Phil to get an obsession. Hot chicks.

Does Phil claim to have diagnosed DID like he claimed that he had the orchiectomy? Isn't a big part of that disorder supposed to be like memory loss or unawareness of the other identity's activity?
I meant Xochi was the one Phil blamed for the death threat.
His reaction would be interesting. Phil knows damn well that he doesn't have DID, any more than he's trans or Latino. But at the same time, he has to pretend that he genuinely does believe Xochi is this independent human being. But then there's the autism, and the fact that his character is being taken out of his control would not mix well with his neurological condition.
I think it's a cry for help, but in the sense that Xochi fulfils a need no real person does. Xochi actually gives a shit about him, which no one else in his life (apart from us) does. When he's feeling down, he makes a post roleplaying as Xochi where she asspats him. Phil is an incredibly lonely potato.
So how long until Phil's alters vote him off the island?
lol yeah actually. Buried in this sub are screenshots where he posted an excerpt of his shrinks letter to the SSDI review board. Because he's an exceptional individual he crowed about how it totally proved he had DID. But had he read any of it he would have seen his shrink said "He's depressed and stupid, and has anxiety. He lies about having DID because he thinks he'll get off the hook when caught and in trouble"
The fuck kind of name is 'Xochi' anyway?
IIRC it's short for Xochiquetzal, and is the name of an Aztec (Mexican) Goddess.
He lies about having DID because he thinks he'll get off the hook when caught and in trouble
Jessica saw this and lost her shit, then went to heavy hitters in the community she was friends with. Phil got so torn up by people higher on the chain he had to make up an excuse why it was all nbd.
Phil can't even pretend to be crazy properly.lol yeah actually. Buried in this sub are screenshots where he posted an excerpt of his shrinks letter to the SSDI review board. Phils understanding of DID comes from cartoons, but if he's going to do something it'll be as edgy as possible. He probably believes that's how people with it really act, and that's probably being reinforced by his drunk deadbeat roommate who does the exact same things.
I'm pretty sure you're right on that. Little trivia for you all, the tranny he threatened was Jordan Davis, his old butt buddy from back east. Phil was making up dreams where he had a machine gun fight with Jordan to try and get a feud going. What I love is the way he thinks they can talk to each other. He'll actually sit down and write a conversation between him and Xochi in which she is the supportive friend he doesn't have. His understanding of DID, like his understanding of most things he considers himself, is superficial/inaccurate at its best and back-asswards wrong at its worst. I think in most cases there's a heavy element of this. In Phil's case, though, I'm pretty certain the trans thing comes down to nothing more than trying to be cool in the crowd he's latched on to.I think most tranny behavior starts with guys having a total fixation on women they don't get to touch. Then it spirals into having a featured thread on kiwifarms.
Something I've noticed in DID "sufferers" is that their alters are always way cooler than they are. Like, it's never "Sidney - middle-aged man who's really into coin collecting" or "Phyllis - lonely elderly widow." It's always "Serafina - sexy punk girl who takes no shit from anyone" or something. If these alters really did exist, the original personality would very quickly be shunted to the back.Autismstralina? Well, only problem is if they vote him off the island, they cease to exist.
I doubt it. He's too dedicated to his identity bullshit. The paradise he would choose would be one that accords with the image he aims to project - a South American land full of kink-friendly trans women and Latinx folk run on an anarchistic basis according to environmentally friendly principles. And he'd be utterly miserable, because he's a materialistic white cishet male.Phil denies reality so much that I have to wonder if he even WAS in a perfect paradise of his own making, would he truly be happy?

I've often thought that had Phil not got into the identity BS, he could have been quite happy and pretty successful working in, say, town planning or highways or something that accords with his autistic interests. Could have married another sped, produced little new potatoes together.
This is why I figure he needs something tailored to his autistic interests. Road signs and maps seem to be the only things that he actually enjoys for their own sake. I reckon give him a job involving either of those and he'd become a productive member of society. Or would have - it's too late now. This is assuming Phil could keep a job without losing his shit at colleagues. Bear in mind he punched his mother for failure to asspat.
Maybe munchansens? Is pretending to be mentally ill to this degree in and of itself a mental illness?
He would've been. Watching his old vids where he lived at home showed he was quite content playing his games and geeking out over Naruto.I've often thought that had Phil not got into the identity BS, he could have been quite happy and pretty successful working in, say, town planning or highways or something that accords with his autistic interests. House arrest means sitting on his ass eating Kraft singles.
Somehow, I doubt this impairs him all that much.
