I don't see that fight. Zoro's gonna be the one killing Orochi, I just know it. But Orochi's no Spandam, so he won't go down easy. Laugh all you like, but I think he'll be the first challenging fight Zoro's had since the Time Skip.I think it's way too early to tell, there's still a ton of Wano lore to go through.
My personal theory is a 2x2 fight. Big Mom + Kaido x Luffy + Zoro. But anything can happen really..
This will easily be the longest arc in One Piece, the amount of moving pieces has easily matched Dressrosa's, and there are still some more potential parties yet to come.
Kaido and Big Momma pirate alliance to make it all more difficult for Luffy and the gang.
There's a theory that Kaido's one of Linlin's baby-daddies. Specifically, the father of her first set of triplets.It's... still weird to see Big Mom and Kaidou be chummy with each other, though. They were members of the same crew before, but they had to have been really close friends or something to have such a hot-blooded rivalry that cools down with alcohol.
I'm really interested to see what Oda does with Bonney. Everything revealed so far's been deeply compelling, and we still don't have actual answers about her.Funny you should mention Bonney, @Truthspeaker, because today's her birthday! Here's her pixiv tag.
It's also Kiwi's birthday, which I have to mention because, well, remember where we are.
I can't imagine that happening. I can't see Luffy and Zoro being strong enough to defeat one of them, let alone both Kaido and Big Mom. Luffy started this arc getting knocked out in one blow by Kaido in his human form, even when he learns advanced armament haki I don't think it's going to power him up enough to be on par with them.My personal theory is a 2x2 fight. Reminder that we still don't know the limits of post-TS Zoro's power. Everything has come super easy for him, even Dressrosa was a relatively-easy arc for him, power-wise. And he's potentially getting upgrades in the form of new swords.I can't imagine that happening. I can't see Luffy and Zoro being strong enough to defeat one of them, let alone both Kaido and Big Mom. X Drake seems to be running his own game (releasing Law in the latest arc), my bet is that he's still a marine, and he's in deep cover inside Kaido's army.I personally think it's going to be a joint effort of the Worst Generation captains to defeat Kaido. Likely Kid, Law, and Luffy teaming up again, as they did in Sabaody. Hawkins and X-Drake might be part of it too.
I think Big Mom is getting done in this arc.As for Big Mom, I honestly don't think she's going to be dealt with in this arc. We know the Straw Hats will likely end up going to Elbaf, perhaps after Wano. It's been an island that's been mentioned all the way back since the Little Garden arc and has popped up time and time again. Big Mom is the only big villain we know of that has a huge connection to Elbaf, and she's still mad that they're the only race that hasn't joined her little faux diversity paradise. So I find it really hard to believe that Oda set up all that backstory with her and Elbaf and her current grudge with Elbaf, just to have Big Mom be dealt with in Wano.
While Zoro's definitely gotten more powerful even he and Luffy aren't enough to take down one of the Yonko because they're on a completely different level than everything else. Remember that Whitebeard (who was on the last legs of his life at that point) alone was enough for the Navy to bust out Sengoku, the Admiral trio, the Shichibukai and numerous Vice Admirals and Kuma clones (and at the end it was Blackbeard who ended up taking him down). The current army is gonna need some major event or ally to tip the scales enough in their favor to stand a chance though it's hard to guess what that'll end up being. I can't imagine the other crews from Dressrosa could possibly be involved given I doubt most (if not all) are completely unaware of the upcoming battle and both Leo and Sai were all the way out at the Reverie. Maybe a reunion of Whitebeard's crew (since Marco and Jozu were shown to be powerful enough to hold their own against Admirals) though Marco seemed hesitant and we don't know what happened to the rest of the crew or what motivation they would have to join in (plus they've the alleged kid hunting them). The most likely scenario I could think of would be BM and Kaido turning on each other, possibly over which one gets to take Luffy down.Reminder that we still don't know the limits of post-TS Zoro's power. Everything has come super easy for him, even Dressrosa was a relatively-easy arc for him, power-wise. And he's potentially getting upgrades in the form of new swords.
Plus, a Supernova team-up can still include him, so we could both be right.

It would tally with what the world out there knows about Luffy getting captured (how else would the press know?), and what the Marines don't know about the Samurai's exact level of strength (because X Drake himself still doesn't know).
And you can already tell that Hawkins is just waiting for the right cards to come up and turn on Kaido.
I think Big Mom is getting done in this arc.
- We already saw a huge chunk of her background, and are about to see the other chunk (the Rocks thing). The rest can be filled in without her being in Elbaf.
- Any son and daughter that didn't get beaten in the last arc is here to get beat-up in Wano (with the exception of that bubblegum girl, idr the name).
I think her appearance in the Reverie discounts that. She's clearly related to Kuma in some manner and could possibly be the actual queen of the Sorbet Kingdom (since we don't know if that was just a one-off disguise to get in or what she uses to rule) and with how tight a leash BM keeps on her kids it's hard to imagine she'd allow one like Bonney whose famous enough to become one of the "worst gen" run around unchecked (whereas Lola's only escaped her wrath by being relatively unknown). There's a theory that Kaido's one of Linlin's baby-daddies. Specifically, the father of her first set of triplets.
It'd explain a lot. But there was also a theory that Jewelry Bonney was part of the Charlotte Family, and that seems to've been dismissed with all of Big Mom's sons and daughters being accounted for.
Then again, there still might be something to it. Linlin and Bonney have too much in common for it to be a co-incidence. Bonney might not be a daughter per se, but she might be a clone or a granddaughter or even some other sort of relative.
Today is Gekko Moriah's birthday!
It's also Squardo's birthday.
I think Luffy has to (and will) step-up to the task of beating Kaido, this is a shonen after all and Luffy is essentially having a training arc right now in the prison. Almost all of the Strawhat fighters have either upgraded or will upgrade soon. While Zoro's definitely gotten more powerful even he and Luffy aren't enough to take down one of the Yonko because they're on a completely different level than everything else.
