I think it's supposed to be Zoro's use of CoC is still at an instinctual level, a lot like how Luffy used it during Marineford. So the challenge is him learning how to call on it on demand.

Two questions for the class how many road ponyglyghs do the major players at the moment? assuming everyone's at 3/4 if when we find man marked by flames if he just gives it to luffy for free cause nikka/joyboy or someway that hurts his pride and reason to he pirate king would luffy likely spaz out and share the last road pony on like transponder snail/fax if thats a thing?

I doubt Luffy would spoil it like that. And I doubt that the man will just hand it over. There might be some test to see if Luffy is at the level he is needed to be.

I'd hope he wouldn't just hand it over. But I mean if its in kinda of a cheap way from him without any other way for one else gets it just cause. I wouldn't call it spoiling it cause every party needs way to translate it. Basically if luffy got cucked out of any pirate competition besides black beard (he doesn't know law and kid are DOA) would he try to level the playing field? Its just a silly hypothetical or would luffy be like hell yeah easy sailing lets get this over with.

No, Luffy doesn't want easy or hard. He wants what he chooses. These chapters have demonstrated that Luffy needs to master G5 before the final battle. Train his haki too. I think the man will put some test on him. Perhaps a training arc?

The only one we have confirmation of is Luffy who has 3.
Blackbeard probably has 2 because he beat the shit out of Law and might have gotten Laws 2 (Law wasn't around for Totto land, so unless Luffy gave him a copy he only had 2)
Shanks probably nuked the one that Kid had, but he was around for the OG Trip so I expect he just knows anyways

Of course there is one big issue for everyone but Shanks.

One of the Road Glyphs was moved by Whitebeard so Marco is probably the only person who knows where it is (Though I still think it is Captain John's treasure because he was a Rocks Pirate and the 3 non Zou ones all ended up in the hands of Rocks pirates..and it would be funny as fucking hell that Buggy has the last key)

My understanding is that it being true but is in possession of the "man marked by flames" or at least he's the one who knows its location. My question is if Luffy was put in a position where he's told only he will be given the imprint or location to it would he go out of his way to give it law, kid if hes alive, shanks. Fuck BB of course but I'm sure he'd get it anyway, would he?. Basically I think Luffy would share at least a encrypted version with the other contestants just to keep the race medium. obviously navy/WG?GK?IMU still pressuring just as pirate contenders

Imu knows cause he was there when it all happened

The Navy piggybacks off Imu until the Lawful Good Navy betray Imu and side with Luffy

I've always felt that Shanks would do that to Luffy at Laugh Tale so he understands the magnitude of what The One Piece is.

Hasn't all of Luffy's Gears been more or less him figuring out things to deal with adversaries in the heat of battle? The most we got for formal training was Rayleigh during the timeskip, and that was just general training for the New World.

I know this is the reality of the story (#4 of course) I just had silly even if I think it slightly possible tipsy thought before bed. What if somehow my gay head cannon had the consequence of info getting leaked to BB and that causes the the red hair vs BB pirate battle that'd be something huh? Luffy obviously effected cause BB would be like "couldn't have done it without you boy"

Except Shanks was a kid/teenager, and I think it was made a point that he wasn't on Laugh Tale when Roger got there. Anything beyond that is speculation because Oda is very deliberate in how he explains and answers questions when it comes to the lore.

He wasn't on Laugh Tale, but he saw everything else and I think Roger told him enough of Laugh Tale to know that Shanks himself had to wait for someone with Davy's will and Joyboy's will to be strong enough to kick shit off.

Luffy just happened to be where Davy's will and Joyboy's will intersect.

We had Wano too. Also, G5 is strong but not certain victory. Luffy needs to master more of his haki too.

Gears 1-3 were something Luffy worked out off screen between Skypiea and Enies Lobby, breaking them out because Bluno, and later Lucci, warranted doing so. Gear 4 he worked out during the time skip but after Reyleigh left him to his own devices. Only Snakeman and Gear 5 were figured out while fighting an antagonist, and only the former intentionally.
