I really hope this does well in Japan. For the Japanese, taking risks by making a film without main protag and friends or some other lucrative pulling (see: Film Red having Uta being played by a J-Pop celeb) is extremely rare. However no doubt Oda's godlike clout helped pushed this to be a reality. There's a good reason why we never had novel covers getting animated episode arcs after Buggy and Koby's very early on in the series during East Blue. They did poorly in broadcast ratings, and rather than anyone coming to the conlusion later on that it was likely because the show was still relatively new, they just straight out assumed nobody will ever care for them to be made since they don't include Luffy or the other Straw Hats.
Man, Oda's really pushing to the end if he has to cut stuff from the manga
That was the longest flashback in the series, of which was a flashback of a flashback. I assume it was also due to his editor and staff at Shueisha telling him to wrap it up.

Anyone wanting Shamrock to show up and cost Luffy the win against Emu, murder a couple high profile Straw Hats and perhaps maim Luffy/take back his brother's hat and shit on Luffy to make him think Shanks went traitor? Because that's the only reason I can think of for justify such a gimmicky character.
luffys not stupid enough to believe shamrock is shanks. other people might but not luffy. not to mention shamrock to my knowledge at least does not even know shanks knows luffy. that being said i do think shamrocks going to show up and there will be a little bit of confusion but either luffy will point out that its not shanks or actual shanks and his crew will show up seeing as elbaph is his territory after all.

Yes, because Luffy has never been tricked about anyone's identity before

heard about this earlier today. May he rest i peace.
Turns out he was also the voice of Master Roshi.

New chapter.

It looks like translated raws for now with the official translation dropping later.
Is it weird that my first thought was that Zoro did something cool, and now I'm waiting for Mihawk to do something mind-blowing, or we get something in his backstory that shows how the "greatest swordsman" title is some really narrow thing that can only be determined by something akin to a PPV fight already?

I thought Zoro already knew how to use Conqueror's Haki as a weapon when he cut King with whatever absurd Buddhist named attack he used.

Sommers probably isn't going to die while Zoro doesn't have his bandana on.
He didnt even know it was Conqueror's he was just putting everything he had into Enma cause it was draining him anyways

Dont forget Zoro is a bit of a tard

two things about the new chapter first zoro is going to end up killing sommers and sanji will take out killingham those will be the two victories for elbaph.

secondly i believe the tool that is inside the box biblo wants to open is going to be what pushes imu away. i think its going to be another haki knot situation where joyboy or maybe nika stored haki in a tool as a way to keep imu or rather the devil controlling imu away. its going to be just like with the elders other than saturn when they all got forced back through the portal.

but this time imu will be the only one to get sent back which will result in him killing princess shuri to prevent her from saying too much (though brook might bring her back to life with his soul king music)

but yeah going back to the haki knot theory im starting to think joyboy had insanely powerful versions of every single type of haki to the degree that he was just going around leaving bits of his haki around as a way to defend against imu should he ever decide to attack.
