I don’t think the contract was forced, but more worded in such a way that Dorry and Brogy accepted it because the giants kids had already been spared and the library burned.

Also, my assumption is the old king likely made a deal with the devil and they were next in line after Harjurin and Loki I assume we are gong to get some Xebec background this arc when Loki explains how he was born in le wrong generation.

he's a fucking giant when should he have been born? If you mean void century I doubt it, if the golden age of giant warriors then yeah I guess but this arc has the d plot of bringing warrior culture back. Having a ruler in place seems to be important for imu. Seemingly for negations (or extortion) so I don't think a contract would hold up if the guys dead. The contract seems forced, maybe you have to be on a lower level of haki to force it and it limits the contracts. We don't know enough but if we find out why imu possesses gunko that'll explain a lot, cause I feel like gunko was the only one imu would have took over no matter who else was there.

i imagine the catch to imus power is something like the more of these people imu makes contracts with get defeated the weaker imu gets. notice how fast saint saturn was replaced. so maybe the lifespan imu takes from the people that get contracts gets taken back if/when the person is defeated. its like if killing zeus did actual direct damage to big mom because its her soul put into something.

as far as gunko is concerned i think she must just have a unique contract with imu. where she signed over full control were as the others just got immortality and general power boosts while being generally powerful on their own already. if thats the case it could explain some things about her. she could be imus way of viewing the outside world without leaving the castle. which is why she was sent to go with shamrock to see loki.

a few weeks ago my thoughts were the same, the line about lifespan reduction just kinda threw that off in my mind that and the one panel brook? flashback. I agree I'm just curious what makes her the one imu uses, feels like she was groomed for that role.

Maybe she was the one who delivered the blows that killed Cobra before Imu and the Gorosei were able to lay waste to him and Sabo.

Yeah sure but then that open the old can of worms of "muh WG is absolutely pants on head retarded" I know Revs were doing their thing freeing kuma but where were the rest of gods knights? I don't think its a big deal, maybe it was imu in gunkos body that did it? with silhouette shenanigans' and maybe a pinch of retcon of course.

To expand slightly as to why they might even do that: maybe Imu isn't just bound to the castle but only the original parts from the void century.

I’m sure redesigns are a fun challenge and maybe a “what if” prompt, but the idea of doing it in the name of some justice or whatever this is ruins it for me.

Also, thinking Carrot is a Straw Hat. I swear to god every ally gets that treatment. Maybe Loki will be called on to be one of he’s ever freed from that tree.

There's a minority of the fanbase that wants Loki to be a crew member, which is even more retarded than any of the awful suggestions from the past like Carrot or Yamato, it literally makes no fucking sense yet some really want him to sail alongside the StrawHats

I was just thinking about this, and I came to the conclusion that as long as you're under contract, you're immortal, but as soon as the contract is undone, you're dead.

Otaku Republic, I guess. And you only need the account on pixiv to see R-18 material. Still, I'll probably give just enough of a description to convince people to use spoiler tags.
