I don't think Netflix ever had the intention to adapt the entire series in the live action show. Certainly not at the pace of 1 season every 2-3 years. If they did, they wouldn't be paying for the Wit Studio remake.
I don’t think Netflix planned to do that. Most I’ve heard is cast and crew talking about wanting to work on L.A.O.P. for as long as they can, while adapting as much as they can, and it’s up to Netflix to give the green light. And then you had the writers strike and actors strike pushing things back.

FYI, Heritage had its semi-annual anime blowout today. Not a whole lot of note, but there was some cool One Piece shit. Specifically, full scripts and storyboard guides for five episodes from the Syrup Village arc. Its kinda cool seeing how they animated the show (back when it was well animated).

Whoops, I had the Dream/Nightmare Fruit guy wrong. It was a member of God's Army, not Loki. Anyway, I doubt Harald was a total monster, but I could see him getting involved in a really bad deal or being controlled by a malevolent force.
I'm gonna be blunt, from the moment I saw him I've been waiting for the guy with the sworded helmet to just take it off casually and reveal himself to be a villain all along.

I'm going to guess Loki found out what the WG was up to and tried to warn his father who blew him off (a boy who cried wolf moment) and loki was left with no choice to save the giant children.

Oh, that’s cute.

Boa’s whole ‘only the current user can undo the stone’ is a way for Luffy to undo whatever Blackbeard does when he turns everyone to stone as there are now two Boa.

i think loki is entirely innocent and just ended up walking in on his father getting murdered for finally standing up to the gods knights or whoever else was involved in stealing the children.

he knew telling people the truth would result in the total destruction of elbaf so he just pretended he did it and since he is good at making up stories people believed him without issue.

I have to wonder if the World Government ever made a PSA about stairs and swords at this point.
Imu’s fruit is actually the Stair-stair fruit. Zoro will find out he killed Kuina and be subjected to a Jojo Part 3 callback. The final fight will be Luffy and Blackbeard falling for an infinite staircase as Imu stands there menacingly.

Oda really teasing us by using part of this chapter to pretend that the pirate chiefs would be spending this arc on the toilet

Also nice to see Brook's music has fans in unexpected places

Is that why Imu’s feet sound like suction cups, so he can’t fall down the long flight of stairs? Is that why he rules the world?

Everything else is an elaborate lie because the truth that every other ruler tripped and fell and died is too embarrassing.

Guy says Sanji just wanting to look at naked women and nothing else is diddy level and is so jittery about him doing a negative thing. He doesn’t want to go more into it. If this gets him like this, first sanji ain’t that deep and second he’s gonna hate Seven deadly sins.

the latest chapter was interesting. that strange building or lab makes me wonder if we are in for some big void century lore soon if not even further back.

i also wonder if the dream monsters are similar to the homies in the sense that some are stronger than others or if they are all a set level.

also which roger pirates have we not seen in action at this point? i feel like we could very well end up getting a roger pirate reunion at some point.

Considering all that we learned in Egghead, and the mural Franky saw, I have some doubts about that . As much as Oda is showing of and answering questions about the past, he’s also very careful to make sure that he just doesn’t spell things out to where it’s a case of “this is what happened” along with “these things will happen, and here’s how Luffy is going to do it”. He doesn’t want you to figure things out until he wants you to: when Luffy comes across that info (or Robin because she’s the one who’ll actually give a shit.)

I doubt we’re going to get an actual reunion. Every time I’ve seen Rayleigh, he gives the impression of wanting to sit things out and leave things to the new generation. Most I can think of is Luffy vs Shanks being a matter of Shanks trying to drill it into Luffy’s head the full gravitas and weight of the power he has and what will happen after he gets his hands on the treasure.
