Kizaru comes off as the loyal to a core guy who, while affable will throw you to the Wolves if you say something wrong. Garp seems to be the only of the higher ups who seems to have at least a conscience
Also, i flipped through some older chapters and Dragon only got up to wage war when he learned of Ohara. So he either was a pacifist or was disilusioned by the WG and withdrew from the Marine (I suspect he was a Marine at one point thanks to his father basically bruteforcing him)

Whitebeard if he real

The one thing really irking me about this arc is that Franky has almost nothing to do with it. I get that we are gearing up for the end game, but that doesn't mean Oda shouldn't ignore the one character who should have the most to say and do with Vegapunk.

I am not really that surprised though, since Franky really is the least memorable of the strawhat crew and has often been left out of most meaningful plot moments up to this point. But I thought we might get something more out of him once Vegapunk was in the picture, but it just hasn't really materialized into anything.

I agree. Personally, I'm guessing at this point that if we do get some Franky action it's going to be during the final climax of the arc where him and Vegapunk need to combine their minds together to make some sort of escape or something. This whole arc mostly feels like showing off everything except what's happening at Egghead island with how much of it feels like its been dedicated to other locations and flashbacks. I'm hoping once Kuma's story is done the actual plot picks up and flows for awhile without suddenly switching gears again.

Hot take here, but I think Robin should have been the last Mugi (and this is coming from somebody that loves Brook). The non monster trio already are more window dressing than anything outside of a few moments and Franky is one of the bigger victims of this, and even then it took ages for Sanji and Zorro to have a proper fight after the timeskip. Also, don't even get me started on Jinbei being a part of the crew...

It may just be how reading weekly stretches everything out, but I can barely remember any moments from the strawhats outside of Luffy himself that have near the same impact as Water 7 or Alabasta. A part of me always thinks that it's Oda not wanting to get too bogged down and letting the anime add that flair, but it has been one of my bugbears with OP for a long time. Thankfully the central plot has picked up and become fire ever since Wano finished and I honestly rather he kept things going hard and fast and hopefully the series can be finished in less than 5 years, but another part of me misses those detailed one to ones from the lesser Mugis.

I agree with this..except for the fact that Chopper has it worse than Franky because frankly has the best Non-Luffy Fight post time skip.

For all of Chopper's vaunted ability to switch forms on the fly without the rumble ball..the only form he uses in Combat is Cuck-Fu point.

I've been wanting desperately for Chopper to have a proper fight going on inner monologues about what all his new forms do and so on. Because yeah, it seems he only does the Kung Fu one and a weird combo of horn and leg point that I only knew existed by looking at the wiki. Chopper does at least get his "I'm the cute mascot" and "IMMA DOCTAH, MOAR BANDAGES!" moments. But yeah, Franky has had the best non monster trio fight since the timeskip, even though the fight itself with senior pink wasn't that impressive, it was a very heartfelt one that gave Franky something to work with...

Hell, I still remember how Robin never got to fight (her only fight before the timeskip was in Skypeia) because she was clearly too OP till Oda kind of lost that fear and finally after the timeskip she gets into some scraps here and there.

Why did the anime put Duval's face on Sanji's new wanted poster?

I wonder if it's an animation error because it's weird that Sanji didn't react to it at all.

So Kuma will hopefully get closure. Seems the only Worst Gen member left is the monk, with us knowing he only beat a member of the big mom crew.

Bonny is gonna join the Straw Hats isn’t she? I imagine she’s gonna use her fruit in conjunction with Luffy’s Nika form to wreck shit.
She will be Luffy's wife.

My feeling is that Bonnie will be the Vivi or Kine'mon of this story arc. She'll tag along until eventually going her own way when everything is settled.

I feel like Kuma’s relationship with Dragon has been played up to much for that to happen. Bonny and Kuma are now very close to Luffy.

I’m gonna guess Robin is going to feel kindred for Bonny’s situation.

Whatever Oda had in mind for her backstory when he drew this almost certainly fell by the wayside in favor of what we ended up getting.

Kuma's thing here isn't totally 1-1 to what made it to his part of the flashback (maybe that stoicism was originally just from rigid discipline?)
