That makes this moment from said chapter 485 where Zoro makes the agreement with Kuma all the more awesome knowing what he had to go through. Men of honor, indeed.

Also I just had to go look to see when it was Kuma got his silly bucket hat, and he got it right around when he turned 25 or before, but no reason was given as to why he wears the hat. So I'm gonna pretend Ginny gave it to him and cry.

A long time ago (somewhere around Sabaodi) I read a (bad) fic where a Marine OC was cannibalized by some tribe. I just shrugged it off as some edgelord teen having fun and moved on. But now Oda is going overboard with tHe VioLenCe so much that fic seems more reasonable than whatever is currently happening. IMHO the WG and Tenryuu were made so comically evil it doesn't make sense anymore.

The WG/Marines/Tenryuu traced Roger's path and Murdered any Pregnant Women/Children they were suspicious were Connected to Gol. They have always been kind of comically evil from the start.

Oh that reminds me, I was told by my brother that the anime's no longer going to be making filler arcs from this point on. How true is that?
I haven't heard anything about that. They did just do an anime-only episode expanding on the farewells in Wano, though, so maybe that will be the type of filler we get from now on.

I wouldn't mind them animating chapters of One Piece Party, though.

Sounds like Ace walloped a Warlord in the past. Which may be related to the time he was offered the position? Depends on how the timing fits with his admittance to Whitebeard's crew, I suppose.
At any rate, I wonder who Kuma replaced.

Based Noda Skywalker asking for such a request. Really cute.

And give this beautiful big man a kick-ass, feel-good send-off to his god at the end, Oda. He didn't deserve any of this shit, he just wanted to live a happy, peaceful life.

I actually enjoy how much a den-den mushi's expression, matching that of the person talking, can change with so little art to work with.

Also looks like Kuma actually hit Kizaru in the feelings with that choice. Makes sense that a guy who always wants to not be working would be affected by the decision of someone to sacrifice their entire life to eternal work for the sake of someone else. To the extent of even wanting to hide that sacrifice from her.

Also the pizza scene is needlessly wholesome just so Oda can better tread on everyone's hearts.

So many of you weren't using spoilers that I almost want to go find that comic where Ace gets raped by Blackbeard just to punish you all.
>find
Why are pretending like your Drive isn't groaning under the weight of gigabytes of poorly drawn yaoi rape?

Is Kizaru more sinister now that we know he will destroy people he considers friends if the government orders him to do it?

Also, anyone who calls Kuma a cuck deserves a fatwa.

i never thought I would love this kuma flashback this much. Oda really has started to cook again.
Reminder, Oda gave a fucking Backstory to Senior Pink that made his character quirk not only make sense...but turned him into a complete fucking badass. If he wants us to care, we will fucking care.

So in regards to the new chapter:
Kuma is near the country where Luffy now trains alone. Does the goverment at that point know that Dragon has a son called Luffy? Or is that just a coincidence and he might meet Dragon by chance? After all Dragon is from East Blue. Or, my wildest guess: he is ordered to look for the GumGum fruit which they suspect to be in East Blue

Oh, a new chapter of OP, lets see how being Kuma is pain again!
Reads chapter
Well that was soul crushing!

Jesus fuck, guy can never have a break... So is that Kalifla with another codename or is it Oda not being able to draw more than 3 women in action again?

Also, if one could see into the mind of Kizaru...

Curious to see what Kuma is up to in East Blue for sure.

In a light novel Ace fought and beat a warlord and was asked to join but he declined. He was also hitting on some Vice Admiral chick.

It turns out, Kuma knew as early as Thriller Bark.

I claimed there was no way he could know because Ivankov didn't learn till later in the story but I believed Kuma was playing double agent and was still in contact with the Revolutionary Army. The new chapter framed things in a new light. With Kuma's absolute obedience assured with Bonney in Marine custody and his obedience being a pressed point by Gecko Moria, it's safe to assume he was already taking orders from the Marines or Five Elders at this point in time. It's entirely possible Kuma had learned of Luffy being Dragon's son from the World Government.

I don't know if I'd use the word sinister but yeah that level of "nothing personal, kid" is pretty terrifying when you get down to it.
