Going through Tumblr again to look for more to keep this thread afloat. Overtime, I find it all a bit bleak. I try not to baby these women (because at the end of the day, they are adults and therefore must suffah adult ridicule), but I can’t help but sigh for them. Under the porn, the politics, the rotteness– they are still women. So many of them (not all) just seem like people who refuse to unpack their unresolved trauma, instead retreating to fandom to cope with miserable living. You can see it in what a lot of them dedicate the most effort into.

Outside of the extremely fucked up art, you also see a lot of soft shit. For every deranged abuse, rape, or pedo fic/image, you have several ones dedicated to actually normal, natural, and healthy wants, especially for women. Here's a vety small dosage:



Irregardless of artistic skill/proficiency, they all share similar qualities:

• Monogamous pairings (very few fics even hint at polyamory -- it's surprisingly not very common in a lot of fandom despite how its constantly promoted as better than mono in lefty spaces)
• Large and intimating, but gentle, caring “alphas” to the smaller, more vulnerable “omegas” (dryheaved a little typing this)
• Cute, chubby babies
• Soft, intimate family scenes or emphasis on healthy, happy, family dynamics

They're all also very … maternal. Like the stuff you see in those motherhood pamphlets or videos. Just warped to fit playing house with “gay men” characters & themes.

Maybe I’m deranged, but the only men I’ve seen ever draw anything like this were very introspective types who were married with kids. Like, they were the uncommon breed who’ve always wanted to be dads and draw from personal experience & outside observance of their wives rather than any common (female) socialization or biological awareness of pregnancy (the whole period talk, seeing your mom, aunt, friends pregnant, or researching female anatomy & health because no class properly taught that so you had to find out on your own).

No other type of man does this! Either they do not care until they have kids & still don’t care this much or there is a gross, overhanging fetishistic aspect to it all. Like the straight men with pregnancy fetishists or rare, actual gay men so porn rotted they’re into mpreg (but just the “breeding” aspect)

The naturalness of their portrayal is evident (imo), but they are so detached from their female reality that they must jump hoops and doublethink it away. “Yes, this is not typical, expected women want because I am trans/nonbinary and the character is male.* Since that is my identity, that means this is a wholly separate and unique experience/expression! I’m writing it from an entirely separate perspective as a man would/without the binary at all! This does not reflect/contradict anything!"

Most of these ladies would have probably just grown up to be heterosexual, center-left leaning, nerdy women. I do know they would not be in a depressive spiral where their only form of identity/personhood/purpose is tied to their fantasies. As for the other stuff, man it really depends on what fandom you're in. There are a LOT of poly fics in stuff like CoD:MW from what I remember. It really just depends on what sort of characters and what their set up is in canon. The characters in CoD:MW work as a "team" so it's easy for fanficcers to conceptualize them using each other as a cuddle pile. Not so much the case in something like, say, Arcane where a lot of the characters are at odds with each other or don't have much screen time.

I also think that ABO and mpreg are inherently perverse ideas regardless of how fluffy they make the artwork look.

Now, usually I would save this for the Arcane thread, but I saw this on the Jayvik Reddit and it got the noggin joggin. It is mainly staffed by Hexhomos, who is known for despising Mel and likening her to Jeff Bezos. She is a Brazilian pooner known for letting butter go rancid on her kitchen table and, more famously, did not want to be drafted for Brazil's army despite identifying as a male. During the infamous Youtooz video scandal where Mel was run over by Viktor, she ran damage control with the sole focus on making her ship look better in comparison.

Interestingly enough, despite Jayvik being huge on AO3, surpassing Caitvi, it has the least active subreddit.


During an interest check for a Pride Community event, only 312 people responded. The demographics and results are illuminating.

As you can see, of the 312 who voted, half announced they couldn't attend in person. For what, you might ask? Physical disability? Being too autistic to leave the house? Too strapped for cash? No matter the cause, it says a lot that this fandom relies on a select few to carry the fandom to its legendary heights.

Here's the juicy stuff: Jayviks show they're overwhelmingly white. A few are Brazilian or Asian, but "North America" is a separate class from the USA, despite the USA being part of North America. What this means that 11% of these people are Canucks.

That said, it should be noted this particular ship is known outside the fandom for how racist they are. This included a Gypsy pedophile saying it was fine for Viktor to be a misogynist while writing him getting groomed by Jayce who was married to Mel and had Sky as a daughter. He was 15 years old in the fic.

Real recognizes real: VeeforVindicta there is also a pedophile, and has written and bookmarked fics where the child involved can be as young as seven years old. It makes sense she's friends with a Gypsy because their entire culture is around kidnapping, grooming, and raping children. Their girls become happy child brides at the age of 12.

Honestly, the answer is that they are: A) womanchildren B) compensating for lack of irl emotive conversation & C) tumblr culture. Some of them are teenagers/little kids, but not most.

A) Certain women resent the fact that they had to grow out of their childhoods. They felt most free with no responsibilities, no serious judgement for their behavior, and lots of leniency. These types act like teenagers online (from the speech to the slapfighting to the obsessive hours online) despite a lot of them being well into their later 20s and beyond because that's the only place they can do so now. They also tend to enjoy characters way younger than them & "relate" to them more than any older character (irl or otherwise). Some of them are also pedos & act like kids cause it turns them on.

B) Irl conversations allow you to see someone's reaction to what you're doing/saying/showing them. Can't really do that through Twitter posts. Ergo, these women exaggerate their reactions to get the point across (caps lock, keyboard smashing, emojiis/gifs, etc). It gets their emotions across better than a (for Twitter) simple, 'boring', long-winded "Oh wow, this is so cool! I really enjoyed & appreciated this art." Plus, if you're neutral or (godforbid) slightly critical, the BPD addled artists might have full blown meltdowns & end their life so their rabid fans keep everyone away or in-check.

C) This is early Tumblr culture, which is where most of modern societies ills manifested. A) prospered there & B) helped theie follower accounts grow/their favorite artist know they were aporeciated through over-the-top interaction. Once Tumblr was no longer available, these "REEE--"fuges spread to Twitter & took their banal culture with them. It's like 4chan with the:
