Has there been any suicide baiting going on, or actual vitriol attacks being sent to the showrunners/actors? I want to see fujoshi crashouts turned up to 11 and more normies exposed to their insanity.

The thing that gets me about this is that so many of them then write these ships as being very toxic, abusive, and some of the sex is violent (either because they're writing straight dark/noncon stuff or because it's weird BDSM shit).

It's not just that they dislike womanhood but they also don't seem to see violence and degradation against men as something that counts. Or that there is some more tragic but yet romantic aspect to it when it does that makes it more palatable than for these same dynamics and stories to be written with women involved.

They're traumatized for sure, but honestly who cares? That doesn't mean that they don't have desires or a sex drive. In fact, traumatized people either become sex-repulsed, hypersexual, or seek help. Very few take/even have the option of the third. The former two are a form of self-protection + taking back control of their bodies through either barring sex forever or fucking everyone (neither are desireable, but both are coping mechanisms). Fujoshis are similiar.

Their sexuality (and the issues of the past) is roleplayed through gay male (or, more aptly, pseudohomosexual male) relationships. Besides internalized misogyny & self-hatred, these male icons also allow them to profess their normal human desires without having to actually confront any underlying issues with their beliefs and past experiences.

The reason it gets so extreme is:
A) male suffering for them ranges from a "get back" at the men who wronged them
B) it is more tragic and romantic (in their eyes) for men to suffer; women suffering is the norm in their eyes*

C) like a lot of porn addicts, the fujos who got into these extreme fetishes need more n' more n' more material to keep that dopamine hit high. It's not enough for a bit of bruising or bitemarks to the neck. No, now the whipped while strapped down to a park bench as a 40 inch dildo is shoved up his ass and he's being choked & pissed on.

While Francis Xie & that one french chic with the incest fetish (Franny, I think her name was) ended up transionting (heh) from fag-hags to pooners to returning to just self-hating straight chics with more blatant fetishization of their trauma, many of the large & small creators of this content have yet to also admit it. Remember: if someone whines and cries about "queer rep/queer baiting/purity culture" when it comes to any media, they're unlikely to actually be a fag or dyke, but just a pornsick straight who wants to get their rocks off in the most """progressive""" way possible.

There are some but for the most part it's just an excuse because it sounds like it makes sense it gets people to be less heavy handed with critique. It's incredibly easy to lie about SA over through an anon internet persona and when they don't want to attention seek anymore they can just drop the persona and move on to something else (or grow out of their fanfic phase entirely). Histrionic and attention seeking girls are comfortable lying about all sorts of things people think would be difficult to admit to. But in current year these things are not actually considered shameful or humiliating (for women) to admit to, but rather "brave".

They're NLOGs obsessed with deviant sexual content that they largely access online at the end of the day. Some of them probably got victimized before but most do not. Why would you be surprised that something which attracts dysfunctional, often personality disordered individuals who want to lie about who they are would also lie about other things? Remember, there is no actual stigma in current year to women saying they've been SA'd, people will act accommodating and supportive, at the very least in the environments these girls frequent. They do not risk anything by doing so and there is basically no way to check if what they're saying has any validity.

(This is NOT to say I'm critiquing this Xie lady in particular. Especially if she's moving away from this stuff it has a lot of truth to it. However, you should never default assume trauma is the reason the vast majority do what they do. Bold’s been planned in the form of at least one overlong and deranged Google doc that I don’t have a link for but saw floating past my tumblr dash (despite never having interest in the show or its fandom, so the melodrama has definitely left its target audience). I’ve seen more comparisons to the Johnlock conspiracy than Klance, NGL.

My favorite parts of this are the usual eternal refusal to just play with dolls in the corner out of entitlement that their yaoi needs to be canon and that they’re bitching about being “queerbaited” by a series with a canonical lesbian couple in it that has also never promised to make Byler happen.

Fell for it again award! No but seriously, I haven't seen the Stranger Things finale but let me guess. The "queerbait" was Will and Mike looking at each other in a funny way and that was enough for these morons to conclude that they were going to be together? At this point, I can't even blame the show's writers for these people falling for "queer bait" even when the writers do indeed bait them, because these people take anything to prove their stupid ships will be canon, and then get angry at the writers for it when it doesn't happen. Its like I said before, these people act like their interpretation of the character's relationship is the only correct way to see the characters and accuse you of media illiteracy if you have a different viewpoint from them. Tumblr and the fandom subcultures that spawned from it really fetishize ugliness.

I’m older and was primarily in anime fandoms, and back in my day, the yaoi fans largely gravitated toward the beautiful men. The seme was typically strikingly handsome, the uke was either very cute or also strikingly handsome. It was not normally the Typical Japanese High School Student™ or shounen protagonist types who would be shipped with anyone, it would be the guy with the long, lustrous hair or the one that looked like the love interest from a romance manga.

A seemingly large chunk of the Tumblr generation and later, though, seems to go right for the ugly weirdos, especially the ones who are into more western art and media. I think it’s the same principle as them taking normal or attractive characters and giving them vitiligo and extensive body hair, and uglifying themselves with horrible glasses and a lack of personal hygiene.

It’s like their normal sexual expression has been squleched and repressed by progressivism, but instead of going away, it’s just re-emerged as a heavily warped version of what it would normally be: In the circles they run in, expressing attraction to anything that might be labeled “western beauty standards” is morally wrong and should be avoided, so all their sexual energy gets laser-focused focused on things that are the absolute opposite instead.
