That is something I never witnessed or heard spoke of. The place I worked at was able to accommodate larger bodies. I can ask some funeral directors I'm still close too and get back to you on that one.
I think dismembering a body is considered abuse of a corpse and is against the law, whether you are a funeral home or otherwise. If a big enough crematorium can't be found you'd have to bury the body because there are some places that have burned down cremating really large people. It would be nice to get some insider info on this though because it comes up pretty frequently around here.

i dont like making predictions about cows but it really is a miracle that she hasnt seriously injured her legs/feet/ankle at this point. at that size i feel like it can't take much of a wrong move to seriously strain or break some part of your body supporting you.

Because Amber barely does anything physically intensive on a regular basis so thats holding her own for now until she becomes bedbound.

Not to power level here.. But I used to work in a funeral home. If she were to have a viewing or a open casket funeral. The clothing provided would be cut in the back, there would be no other way around that. She would need extra embalming fluids and a specialty casket would have to be ordered.

Cremating her wouldn't make it any easier. First you would need a big enough retort that can hold a body that size, if the funeral home does not have one, they would need to call around to other crematoriums to find one that can. They would also have to order a large enough cremation container and the cremation would need to take place first thing in the morning.

As a side, her body would be treated with the upmost care and respect. We never made fun, laughed at or really talked about a decedent or their bodies in any negative way what so ever.

** I was not a funeral director so please don't take what I say as gospel. I did watch and ask a lot of questions and read a lot of stuff regarding processes while working there. I'm also sure things have changed a bit since I worked in one, but the basics probably have remained the same.

Isn't it fairly common for crematoriums to set on fire as a result of a dead person being so large?

Random thoughts:

- I'm beginning to think Amber's biggest addiction is spending money. This whole video is Amber desperately attempting to avoid eating by wasting money in something other than food.
- scrunchies are the new hair bows. As usual, Amber is going for things that trended when she was a child (* tiny violin* and she was too poor to have the things she wanted).
- How long since we've seen the den? Is it full to the brim with her hoard crap collections, or has Amber grown so wide she can't get past the doors to the den?

Sounds like another typical day in any of Texas' funeral homes. There's also a factory there that produces oversized caskets. Cuz everything is bigger in Texas y'all!

She would be better off donating her carcass to a college.

"Say goodnight, Hamber."

Goodnight, Hamber.

Shows off her outfit. Yeah. She appreciates the support, feels no understanding over her struggles. Breakfast is shown off to the camera, gag me with a spoon. Eats oatmeal, riveting as it sounds. Eric is going to the doctor, to get his anti-viral AIDS meds, maybe? idk

Becky plays a phone game in the car while they cure Eric of AIDS. This is pointless.

Another outfit sit down portion, she napped while Becky was out. She shows off her shirt and pants, so 'suppa soft.' More clothes from Torrid, some new pants, explains fatty clothes sizes there to normies, they're $60. It looks like a blackout curtain, she's got the right idea but the execution of it is off I'd say at this point...

Giant collection of gel pens is shown off, she wants to color again to fight the binge monster. *sigh*

The auto focus blurring here makes me want to retch, at least when combined with Big AL's mug it does. She's getting right on calling the doctor real soon, for real, this time, really. But it's Friday and they aren't open right now so she'll get around to it when they are. Why are you shaking your head right now audience member? She's telling the truth obviously.

Random camera clips leftover are added at 8:25, got to get the youtube tugboat bucks somehow and ads are the way to pave the road with gold while she rides the rascal scooter along its path. Oh my, what an interesting hoarded collection of empty journals you have there, fat lady! Becky isn't impressed by them, neither should you be dear kiwi. She doesn't consider herself a hoarder, really desperate to pad this run time I see, you quarter ton 'laah.

She was so deprived as a kid, so now she does what she wants, Cartman would be proud. Both extra clips were garbage.

AL previews Christmas shopping, what a consumer. Good god this rambling is so bad. Finally blows a kiss to the audience, lol ok. Go do some calisthenics for your own good Amber.

Not recommended, but that Cartman impersonation will be dug out for a future compilation video from a haydur or several I bet.

I saw a recent documentary where they did an autopsy on an obese person who had donated her body to science. Only, that person was more Becky-sized than Amber-sized. Still was a horrifying amount of fat.

Anyway, they cut off the arm and cremated it so the family could have some ashes. So I don’t think it’s desecration of a body 100% of the time.

The woman who talks about funeral homes on YouTube, Ask a Mortician, did a show on fats. It was just like posted above-not all places can fit a huge body but some can so they call around. I also saw an old documentary that said they cut arms and legs off, but people are fatter now and they are building bigger crematoria.

They always cut the backs of clothing for the dead. You can’t wangle a dead body, even a normal sized one, into clothes. They have winches and lifts to hoist bodies into caskets and tables and stuff, and now because of people like Amber, funeral homes have to reinforce ceilings and floors, etc. They cost a lot of money, these fats. And if Becky finds Amber dead in bed one day, it’d be best if she told whoever she calls that Amber is an o-beast or it could be problematic dealing with her.

I'm sure being 555 pounds with a BMI of a 100 and no salad or vegetables in sight her heart is 100% fine.

And she won't go through with any of the tests needed to check her heart since it means taking her shirt off for the ekg.
Every time I see your username I think “oh those were the days... when amber was denying for months she had crossed the 500 threshold because she was only 497 pounds.”

It’s interering to think that Amber-of-today would kill to be Amber-of-last- year’s weight. When Amber-of-last-year was claiming she was the most miserable she’s ever been and wanted to change.

Talked to my contact still in the business.

I was ask to note that each funeral home is different and that this is in no way meant to speak for any or all funeral homes, or directors.

In cases where the decedent is morbidly obese and cremation is desired, the funeral director is suppose to discuss the best course of action with the immediate family who is in charge of making arrangements. Best course of action could mean finding another facility that can accommodate a larger body, if one is not found in the area then other means of cremation is discussed. At no point is the family to be left in the dark and not sign off on the plans the funeral home has to make in order to best accommodate the wishes of the decedent or family. There have been cases where amputation is part of the course of action, again at no point is the family not aware of this, they must sign off for this to occur. *** I do not know if this is a state law or just funeral home policy, I forgot to ask for clarification *** They will also have to be the first cremation of the day, there should always be someone in the immediate vicinity to watch and make sure the chamber maintains proper temp. Then rest of the cremation process is completed.

They did not say if they ever had to amputate a decedent or witness it. They also did not say what occurs if there is a religious need in play.

If the decedent is to be buried. In some cases there might not be the need to embalm, such as there is no visitation and the burial of body is immediate. If the body is to be embalmed then more embalming fluid will be necessary to accommodate for a larger body. The family will also need to purchase a casket size that will fit the body. They will also need a larger vault and plots, in some cemeteries two plots side by side will need to be purchase.

Burying or cremating a morbidly obese person will cost more than the average cost of burial or cremation.

*** Again please note that this is not suppose to represent any funeral home or funeral home director. If you have questions or concerns in cremating or burying a morbidly obese loved one it is best to consult a local funeral home or funeral director. ***

It’s interering to think that AOf today would kill to be AOf last year’s weight. When AOf last year was claiming she was the most miserable she’s ever been and wanted to change.

When I made the name I was new to watching her and when she started the whole New Year's thing I thought she would really lose the weight. I didn't know she always changed her starting weight. I don't think I can change name now but it's ok. Never forget AL's true starting weight. Maybe one day she'll be 497 lbs again. :optimistic:

Some of you guys have mentioned what a shock it is she hasn't broken a foot or ankle, and I'd just like to point out that she might have already. It's very common for diabetic, very obese folks to damage a foot and not even realize until it's starting to rot off, because nerve damage to the extremities is a symptom of diabetes.

We've seen her black knuckles and everlasting open sores - she's developing diabetes, no question. With her size it's just a matter of time until she hurts herself and ends up needing an amputation. Yikes.

Edit: lol how is this 'mad on the internet'?

Why the hell would anyone buy scrunchies in 2018?!‽ I know they're coming back into trend with the young kids; but AL is 27... scrunchies....*sigh*.
There's nothing wrong with scrunchies. Plenty of women with thick/curly hair prefer to use them over the smaller elastic bands. The ridiculous thing is Amber wearing bright, childish "notice-me" scrunchies as accessories.

She has six pairs of identical leggings so it just looks like she wears the same ones every day. I guess they all have the same hole in the exact same place too.
