Nolan's The Odyssey - Potentially could be epic or an epic flop.

Yeah, by far the most enjoyable element of Oppenheimer is Cillian Murphy's acting, not Nolan's direction. Very overrated film either way. Ironically Inception was Ellen Page's last role where I actually enjoyed seeing her. She had "quirky, cute, clever" down pat. Then she let perverts carve her up for parts, and now she's fucking ugly and miserable.
Honestly bro Nolan gets glazed way too much. He has like two or three absolute bangers and the rest are mid to low tier.

People are actually praising Nolan and calling him a genius for angering people (playing both sides they say).

From all his movies i liked inception the most, interstellar is ok however it is enviromentalist propaganda
I’d rank Interstellar as my number one and Inception as number two, and I love both those films. I’m a sucker for space, so that’s my bias.
Both films really focused on human connections and did that very well. The absolute best scene in Interstellar was when our main character is going through the decades of video messages from his kid, every emotion a father would have watching their children grow up all at once legitimately still tears me up no matter how many times I see that film. The true heart of the movie is the relationship between a father and their kids, particularly that of an absent father who doesn’t want to be absent and is hurt beyond words that he can’t be there to see them grow. The best scene in Inception was when our main character tells the figment of his wife that they already built worlds together and we see a shot of them, old and holding hands, in the dreamscape they made as the viewer realizes that even after who knows how many years of experience together his love never faded.
The human elements of his films are what make some of them amazing, but when that element isn’t there it just doesn’t work as well.

twitter posts should be considered bannable spam at this point
of course some rando on the internet says something retarded
no reason you gotta dump that here
I don't see it much anymore, but it reminds me of the time when every fucking article had a section dedicated to showing tweets about people's thoughts on the article topic. It was some of the most useless shit I've ever seen and made me realize AI and bots could write better articles than journos.

Ah, watching this one bomb and the inevitable fallout from these whining faggots (dismissive of criticism now, but will be blaming those same meaningless chuds when this thing eats shit at launch) is going to be a true delight.

Achilies Dood might have been just a play, but I think they were honestly gonna go for it before they realized peak tranny has passed and it wouldn't work so they made the little dood into a smaller role.

Personally I think that the nigger Helen of Troy is what is really pathetic and a sign of the Hollywood ritual hatred of western civilization and beauty itself. They had to push the most mid, stick figure, unattractive and emaciated looking negress they had around. It's less like Nolan wanted to make Helen black and more like he wanted to make her as unattractive as possible. If he could have cast a literal deformed woman he would have, if he have pushed a wildly cartonish gigahon MTF he would, but putting some national geographic starvation in Haiti looking bitch was the best he could get away without being too on the nose for the propaganda machine to handle.

If you want to make me believe a black woman is worthy of being called so beautiful a war is fought over her it better be something like this:

When the story was written, Homer may have never even seen a black person, and even if he did, he probably would have seen her as an oddity and not raised her up to be the most beautiful woman in all the land.
Wasn't he blind?

I will accept the idea that opposition to diversity, bad history, and alternative casting is due to racism when Hollywood makes a major motion picture of Black NAZIs presiding over concentration camps and the Blitzkrieg in Europe.
They would be less rare in the later stages of the war. There even were black SS officers by the end. While the Nazis didn't like blacks, they didn't hate them with the passion they hated the undesirables either.

That man has been around I saw him in half a dozen pictures. He was in an Arab unit (Free Arabia Legion) but he's the perfect embodiment of odd casting choices sticking out like a sore thumb.
So we have to pretend this nearly 40 year old, dainty woman is a young greek warrior.
Why not at this point... A 50 y/o broad is playing an eternally young nymph...
Once again, people are using the "it's fiction and it's a different take on a widely told story, so why complain" argument.
One of the worst gotchas before Ellen's reveal was the claim that Achilles was raised as a girl or a theyby. Bullshit! He was raised to be a mighty warrior by the wise "Magic Centaur" Chiron (99% of Centaurs were rowdy, rapist scum) like nearly all of Greece's heroes and was forced to hide in an island kingdom's court, disguised as a woman until Odysseus tricked him to reveal himself by feigning an attack on the palace.

Anyone notice how boring the trailer is? The Odyssey is supposed to be epic but there are not much epic scenes that could make the audience interested. It was mostly badly written yapping. Nolan also said this movie was a character study of Odysseus.

This movie is going to be really boring!

Nolan produced a titan sized stinker. Everything about this movie is awful (besides the dog, because dogs rule & trannies drool).

Welp, Matt Walsh has weighed in on this diversity trainwreck and he has some choice words for it….all based on simple logic.

The we wuzzery 'n shieeet is over 9000

But to 99,999% it's a certain type of black americans that are we wuzzering.

A Bogabanga tribe somewhere Africa are living their own culture every day (as primitive as it may be). They don't feel the need to pretend that they wuz Greeks/ancient egyptians/samurai etc. because they are connected to their culture.

Too many black americans have no connection to their ancient ancestors & their mythology & culture, otherwise they wouldn't we wuzzering. They have nothing so they pretend to be everything.

One thing I am loving about this thread is that it makes me feel less crazy for being so bored by Oppenheimer I shut off after a hour. Then again I still insist the best movie of that year was the Dungeon and Dragons one since it felt like a throwback to something fun that also wasn't trying to push ThE mEsSaGe down my throat.

Even the wife (who is unfortunately a bit libtarded at times) loved it and appreciated having someone like Michelle Rodriguez playing a female barbarian as she is sick of twig women as lady warriors or all of being written as dudes with tits (she was surprised the barbarian had a thing for halfling dudes).

As for this pile of shit...well it made me go back and watch Troy again. Movie may not be the best but fuck me it is still amazing compared to the slop of today. Plus this line always lives rent-free in my head.

I dont think Ellen Page will be Achiles, i think this whole thing is a Gay op.
They started the rumor to use her as a lightning rod. When its revealed that she actually has a insignificant role the evil chuds will be epically owned by the righteous journalists
