Also I gotta complain about Mario Kart World's logo because does this not scream the most "AI Generated" logo for any game up to this point? If I go on Bing right now and type "generate me an image of a Mario game's logo titled 'Mario Kart World'" I guarantee it will spit out something akin to this.
I thought the cover art picture had a similar AI flatness.

That hand cramp thing is no joke. I've unfortunately had to use the joycons to play Mario Kart 8 at a relative's house and within the end of the first race my hands were screaming with burning pains.

Like, the Wii remote sideways is more comfortable than those joycons and the Wii remote is nothing but a skinnier ice cream sandwich bar with an indent in the back. How the hell do you go from "NES controller that universally anyone can use" to "controller for ants"?

Not anymore with the switch. But my ds still works so I'll give them that. My wii u might as well. I can't forgive myself for losing 2 of my 3ds and having one with a broken screen that pops when I try to turn it on. Those things are over 300 now.
Over three hundred what? Yen? Because I just checked both Wii U and 3DS on ebay and neither is anywhere near that, both go for less than half on the first few buy it nows that pop up and if you want to bid in an auction they're even less.

Especially the content creators. For all of their complaining watch launch day happen and they already have multiple systems.
I remember once asking a smaller YouTuber why they buy shit they clearly hate/support companies that hate, and they ranted about “Muh capitalism” and that they needed to make money to pay bills along with other faggy excuses, is it really that hard to not support companies you don’t like? I know I harp on it a lot, but modern gamers of all platforms are the biggest mindless consoomerism niggers around.
FOMO trumps any fickle principles people have on top of the lastest [new norm finger pointing excuse of the week]. If they can afford it, they'll buy it and in the case of e-celebs, find a way to get it cheaper/free through connections. It's that simple.

I just need a CRT :/
Have you looked into any retro scalers as an alternative in the meantime? I always hear good things about them and even the chink clones, which are pretty much 1:1 with the officials, but at half the way overinflated price.

I love how all your excitement and jubilation has turned to hatred because you are poor and unable to budget.

The fake righteousness and idignation on display right now is a true spectacle for us to enjoy.

See you all in Mario Kart, you weak-willed faggots. :lit:

To an extend yes BUT it does not change the fact that an empty wallet is not buying anything. The Switch was a success partially by being affordable to buy one for each family member. The Switch 2 does not have that. The games cost too much too. It will sell FAR slower than Nintendo wants. At least on the software side. It will not be the indie darling that everyone wants to be in when the Steam Deck is around.

This makes no sense at all. You're retarded. Switch was not that cheap.
It was 2/3rds the price. Maybe not cheap enough to buy 4 in one go but definitely cheap enough to buy 4 in a year or two plus games. The Switch 2 is at the price of a home console rather than a handheld. That is a huge difference.

The number of people who openly admit that they can't or aren't willing to figure out emulation like it's some Herculean task is truly staggering. Like, it legitimately blows my mind how tech illiterate some people are.

Related story, I made a comment on a Twitter post complaining about the lack of modern console ports for the Trails in the Sky trilogy (this was before the remake was announced), pointing out that the Steam/GOG versions run on toasters, have full native controller support, and native support for modern resolutions, so there really isn't a need for console versions. Someone replied to me and unironically said that they needed Switch versions because they were "scared" of how complicated Steam is and how they get anxiety messing around with a settings menu on PC games. I was absolutely fucking floored. Granted, they had an anime profile pic and a bunch of furry shit in their bio, so they weren't all there mentally, but still.

I don't know, maybe I just take for granted the fact that I was given a Windows 95 workstation in 1996 at age 8 and told to have fun. I learned just about everything I possibly could about PC hardware and Windows by simply fucking around with them as a kid and a teenager. And I don't say that as some sort of brag either, the shit isn't rocket science.
Kids nowadays... especially normie zennials are some of the most tech illiterate beings on existence. Cell phones brain-rotted them... so that's as far as their tech prowess goes.

I could see FOMO kicking in if they had any actual games that were coming out worth hyping up, but I just don't see people dropping 600 bucks plus tip for Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. Everybody already played Breath and Tears (and public opinion on Tears has soured considerably) so without another Zelda on the horizon or a proper 3D Mario I don't see anybody dropping the cost to break in.

Duskbloods could have been that but it is apparently Fortnite multiplayer slop and a year off to boot.

As opposed to past consoles? Wii U and Switch both launched at $300, and everything before it was even cheaper fewer US dollars.

It’s not the economy’s fault for correcting after 17 years or the fault of a president putting tariffs on penguins and uninhabited islands, it’s okay for grown adult men to shit their pants over video games okay??????

This too, the only reason I actually do have any use for a console anymore is when I want to own a game physically, so as I see Nintendo trying to pull this shit of forcing more games onto glorified download cartridges and just selling the physical games that do exist at an unjustified premium, the more inclined I am to just not give them that money to begin with. I thought for a while that Nintendo was the last of the major gaming companies that understood the appeal of being able to own physical media but I guess not when they just see it as an opportunity to extract moar shekels from it's consoomers.
>tfw an actual autistic figures out what multi-billion dollar corporations can't

Turns out nintendo was ready and waiting to fuck you in the ass with the base prices already, are you ready gaymers? L / A

Johnny Silverhand was right about Corpos.

Enshittification is sadly the norm on many corporations. Nintendo included. We went from comfy controllers and Gameboys that can survive a bombing to overpriced plastic crap whose games you effectively rent.

Times like these its key to make physical media of the older stuff. Cause its gonna be an inevitability that the games of the future are gonna be following the gacha model. Always online and once the service dies congratulations, your purchase just died with it.
