You underestimate the wide appeal of portable consoles. Having the ability to play your favorite games anywhere is too good of a deal for a lot of people and the Switch's success reflects that.

Hell, Valve is going for that same crowd with the Steam Deck. At this point, Nintendo would be stupid to not keep running with the switch's main function for the eventual upgrade.
It's also the ability to pause and resume the game exactly where it was left off earlier, which tend to be overlooked very often compared to the portability itself.
I don't think I would have been able to finish the same amount of games if not for that. Not having to worry about savepoints or that the level is taking longer than expected before going to work/bed or other irl stuff

Never heard of Mappyland or Dig Dug 2,
Those two were already available on Switch, as part of Namco Museum Archives Vol 2. Dig Dug 2 is a prequel to the Switch's best game, Mr. Driller Drill Land. It chronicles an incident in which Mr. Driller's father, Taizo Hori, saved a tropical island from monsters. Mappy-Land is part of the Mappy franchise, and takes the player on a journey through the life of Mappy the mouse, from courting his future wife to taking care of his toddler son. Being a console exclusive rather than an arcade port, its canonicity is arguably in question. Earthworm Jim 2 is also decent.

I saw today that at least in America, Nintendo's website has the bluetooth Sega Genesis controllers back in stock.

Their NES and SNES controllers are really good and they connect to tons of devices. You could make a worse purchase today... like Joy Cons.

What are the differences between La Pucelle Ragnarok and the PS2 original?
The main differences are an actual New game+ added and the secret route where the main female nun character becomes corrupted into a demon lord can be further expanded by several scenario stages than just a mere bad ending. And some extra illustrations from Nomura Ryouji.

Sounds like it becomes a good ending.

Got a good chuckle at the pencil blueprint after beating the catgirl boss
Her trophy description is pretty on point.

I love when Japanese things have that cutesy art style, but they still give the girls giant hooters.

That's a disturbingly calculatedly diverse image. So gross and sterile and fake, reeking of agenda and/or knee bending.

The tennis THWOCK sound is so satisfying and reminds me of playing Mario Tennis on the 64. But why wouldn't I buy the Switch Mario Tennis? It has actual characters and doesn't come with 5 other boring games.

Just finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I didn't expect the voice-acting once you enter the lab and there are a bunch of QTEs during the last minutes against the final boss.

There is a post-game world that gives a lot more challenge between the rearranged stages you visited before, mini-bosses having more attack patterns and bosses acting differently, and finally a new form of collectathon (in the form of souls to free the lion dude stuck in the Forgo vortex).

Excellent game overall but again this is my first Kirby title I've played and completed so I dunno how it fares to others. Still solid on its own at least.
And the PFP to match that statement.

How does La Pucelle compare to say Disgaea 2 or 5? Might get it when I get another Switch.
La Pucelle originally came out in early 2002 (before the first Disgaea) so the battle system is a bit more primitive by comparison, such as the lack of Throw command and no weapon proficiency. You can't hire generic units either so the sole option is to convert the enemy goons in order to capture them. At least that's as far as I do remember about the game on the Vita.
