Never heard of Mappyland or Dig Dug 2, but Earthworm Jim's a solid addition. Now if only they'd give us Super Mario RPG...https://youtube.com/watch?v=lCWwjJ_gxAcding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding
Have you heard of Dig Dug?Never heard of Mappyland or Dig Dug 2
I played Dig Dug, I just never knew it had a sequel. I'm sure this is still a solid addition.Have you heard of Dig Dug?
They're great games! Used to play the shit out of Dig Dug but never played the sequel. I hope you like inflation.
It's all made like shit now! That's how they get you. Can probably still find NES controllers that work perfectly but my Switch Pro controller doesn't last 50 hours. They make more money on hardware than games!Damn, what the hell were you two doing to your systems?
That’s called Kirby and the Amazing mirror. It kind of sucks. Why not a Kirby Metroidvania? Literally the Great Cave Offensive but it's a full game. Maybe they've done something like this, I don't pay attention to new Kirby games because they all look like reskins of old Kirby games, but Great Cave Offensive was the most fun you could have in a Kirby game. Second most fun was all the other minigames.
All kirby games are supposed suck that's the point. If they didn't suck you would just be left with an average 2d platformer. That’s called Kirby and the Amazing mirror. It kind of sucks.
Lick my dick and balls. Asking for some radical differences to flesh out a barren Hyrule I've already explored thoroughly isn't asking for much at all. For some reason only nintendo fans feel like this is some gigantic ask that is impossible to satisfy. You might as well not bother playing it then because you're a dumbass and never going to be satisfied.
There is a game called Kirby & the Amazing Mirror which is pretty much what you want. It was a GBA game and it was pretty darn good. Why not a Kirby Metroidvania? Literally the Great Cave Offensive but it's a full game.
The 3DS was always strange to me. It heavily suffered from post-Wii Nintendo, where it felt like the company got lazy and un-ambitious with their titles, but it definitely had some gems.Fine by me that they culled the 3DS line a little early, I had three of them break on me. I've never had more than one console just outright die on me while I was still playing it, yet my 3DSes all failed, including my "New" one, just, out of the blue. And by the time my last one broke, they were hard to come by and fairly pricey used, because Coronavirus.
It's got some good games too, but I really really wish Nintendo would port them over to Switch already.
Just updated my games. Looks like they also added SP versions of Super Punch out with the circuits unlocked and Mario World with all the goals reached and the sprite change from Special World activated. Neat little bonuses. I like the SP game variants. They are fun for quick pick up and play sessions or to just mess around.https://youtube.com/watch?v=lCWwjJ_gxAcding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding
I think they banked on the 3d fad of the time and it didn't pay off. Nintendo has that mantra of using proven (old) technology in innovative ways, 3d as a technology wasn't new at time, yet the technique to display 3d without glasses sort of was? I don't blame them for the mistep tbh, back then everyone and their mothers were converting their movies to 3d and TV manufacturers were shilling 3D tvs as the next big thing and comparing it to the jump of black and white to color. The reality is it took more processing power to display things in 3D and that translated to more battery consumption, while offering nothing in terms of gameplay at most it could offer "immersion". Think about it, touch controls made navigating menus more convinient and let devs get creative with interactive segments. Motion controls brought waglan yes, but were great for shooters and (despite nintendo selling millions of those plastic grips) let you design your oddball game without the need of a propietary controller. The 3DS always felt like it was stuck in the shadow of the DS as it had less big titles and variety. It was a console that seemed primarily tailored to RPG fans, and not much else.
Probably not after all this time.I wonder if they will ever port the metroid prime games. Guessing it would make more sense to release it close to prime 4... If it ever releases that's it.
3DS sucked, I've never touched one despite being a big fan of the DS, literally all they had to do was make a more powerful DS without the 3D gimmick.I think they banked on the 3d fad of the time and it didn't pay off. All 3d gave you were headaches.

Sure, but by then it was too little, too late, the momentum was permanently damaged by the 3D gimmick in the early years.I mean, they did. the 2nd model of the system was the 2DS, and then the final model they made was the New 2DS XL.

You underestimate the wide appeal of portable consoles. Having the ability to play your favorite games anywhere is too good of a deal for a lot of people and the Switch's success reflects that. With permanent lockdowns likely to be a thing for at least a decade due to totalitarian governments, Nintendo would be smart to give up on "it's a screen you can take with you!" and just release a normal fucking game console for once. But since it's Nintendo I'll just wait in line for my latest Retard Toy like everyone else so I can play New Zelda.
