SR has some issues but they're a) rooted in the game it was a remake of and b) seem to be largely addressed by what we've seen of Dread so far.

You'd have to be either high or possessing an extra chromosome to think the 360 controller is shit. Unless you're a giga-retard and use a fucking controller for fighting games instead of a fight stick.
Octagonal restrictor gate master race spits on you, heretic.

Isnt Super mario 3d worls on the wii u like fucking 3gb or something, why would anyone think that a 2d game would use too much space?

Uh oh? New metroid is bad?
having tried out the leaked copy with a friend over the course of yesterday evening, I can confirm that the game is as janky and breakable as super metroid, snappy and open as ZM, and hard and spooky as fusion. It's genuinely the best 2D metroid I've played so far and everyone who disagrees with me is bad and probably got filtered by the first EMMI.

just get good lol.

They're charging $60 for a 2d metroid game. So people are naturally comparing to other games that are also $60.

Anything 2d has a hard justification for AAA pricing.

No, you're comparing file sizes. Modern AAA is bloated, boring 4k movie shit. Hence the 60 to 100 GB file sizes.

I'd rather pay 60 dollars for something with solid gameplay and is fun over modern AAA cinematic experiences/games as a service.

I wasn't comparing file sizes, other people were.

Honestly $60 is still $60 dollars regardless.

Biomutant charged $60 for it and that was a hard sell. It was closer to a 20-40 buck game. If you're charging the maximum, people are naturally going to expect something high end. Battle Chasers was another one where the price had to be lowered originally because you're charging 60 bucks for a smaller RPG when the high ends of the genre are very elaborate games.

Does it actually have branching paths or is it as linear as the Treehouse preview made it out to be?

How are you NOT comparing file sizes if you haven't played the game at all?

the treehouse team got filtered by the first EMMI area. Once you get past that the game just assumes you're ready for anything and takes the gloves off.

the game is also extremely fucking difficult. regular enemies in area 4 will do an entire E-tank's worth of damage to you even if you're wearing the varia suit. from what I've heard from my mate who kept playing to the point he got the gravity suit, that doesn't change at all and you will still be getting dabbed on by regular enemies if you don't learn how to use every technique you have available to you

Seems legit.

And also, if only the actual campaign was this good.
