Steam Decks aren't manufactured in America either.
Almost all electronics aren't. They are centered in southeast Asia for the most part. Even if chipmaking is coming back to the US currently, building actual consoles, as in finished products, in house? Lmao even.

Turns out nintendo was ready and waiting to fuck you in the ass with the base prices already, are you ready gaymers? L / A

I would genuinely consider Arceus a top-tier Pokemon game if the visuals weren’t complete shit. I still got a good 80 hours out of it.
From what my friend showed off of it to me when it came out, it's a lot more seemless catching/fighting Pokemon now and he really loved not having to run through grass to do all that anymore, let alone griding. I think some of the grassland areas didn't look too bad graphically in person either, but he did agree most of the criticism about it looking like low-res ass was warrented. Aside from LAZ, I'd be curious to see if the rest of the Poke games'll get S2 Edition visual overhauls, assuming it's not just a res bump.

Not to state the obvious but did you guys think tariffs weren't going to affect the price of electronics? Thats literally what they're there for.

I don't think this will affect cart prices, which they've already raised artificially high, and medium-term it wouldn't be that hard to on-shore cart production to the US (Sony already does disc production in Brazil to avoid tariffs) anyway. But it is not possible to build the actual system in the US and if the US doesn't backtrack or work out an agreement with Vietnam or China then the price of a full system is going to have to raise, by at least 50 dollars, maybe as high as 100.

Scarlet/Violet is getting a free performance patch, but that’s it.

Honestly, this is rough. I was worried about the price hike, and now I have to preorder multiple of them to help make sure the console succeeds. Sure hope the resale value is enough to offset the interest on my credit card.

Already do so as was posted up thread
They say they are, but its not possible unless the US just unilaterally backs down. Trump's list of "tariffs" is actually just trade balances and Vietnam's economy is just based around exports. Since they aren't actually tariffing US goods there is no way to undo the "tariff" other than having the US import fewer goods from Vietnam.
