It doesn't matter if it's barely noticeable, if it's an improvement, people want it. It's all about 'keeping up with the joneses' right? All of the buzzwords associated with progress and technological improvement will make someone feel good, because now they have it, too. The seething about the OLED is indicative of a greater want, and it's the audacity that the 'greatest video game company known to man' isn't putting out unrealistic-for-now expectations. Bloomberg made that stupid fucking post and everyone parroted it. It's what's in, it's what's popular.


They can't seem to fathom that it's the complete opposite. The WiiU failed *spectacularly* and Iwata footed the bill.

I guess I'm just astonished. The Vita had an OLED screen, too.

I sold a pair of unopened amiibos the other day for ~$130.

They were Splatoon characters which will probably be restocked when Splatoon 3 comes out. Not my fault that Nintendo fans don’t have any foresight.
 
Following up on that thing about ordering a 64gb part since the OLED announcement made them common place:
Had no real reason to do it other than as a flex, but now I can say "Why need an OLED Switch?" That was only 15$ too.

As someone who makes a lot of money selling shit on ebay, it's not about lack of foresight it's about lack of patience.

They want it at any cost right NOW
