Here we have an amazing video of some fan whining about how this dishonors the name of Nintendo Directs. He literally says Direct is a prestigious title lol.

For some reason he really has no idea what to do with his hands, as he moves them all over the place when he speaks.

Also, anyone else see a resemblance to actor Rob Riggle

I don't like how Animal Crossing's content is handled, I don't care if you have to download seasonal events but things like game mechanics and all the other returning characters should have been in the game from the start. At least it's free unlike the Pokemon DLC where you have to buy the DLC to re-add certain Pokemon to the game. I hope this doesn't become a normal thing for Nintendo games where they come basically unfinished and content gets added in later on. I know there was some autism around Animal Crossing but things seem to have calmed down from when people were obsessed with it due to there being little else to do thanks to the Wuflu.

And then there's the Fire Emblem autism vortex. The games attract shippers and waifufags like no others, and then there's rabid anti-fans who HATE Fire Emblem just because they dared add a Fire Emblem character and not Sora, Geno, Steve from Minecraft, or Waluigi to Smash. Hell, a lot of Nintendo spergs now complain about anime characters...in games by fucking Japanese game companies. People were more excited for the Meme Skeleton costume than they were for many of the DLC reveals (though tbf I thought the Sans reveal was funny and it's cool that they're acknowledging indie games by representing them with costumes)

Steve bad because he is liked by kids and Banjo is superior in every way, no one knows who Steve is even though he is the face of the highest selling game of all time.

No, Steve bad because of a shitpost campaign from Discord where they spammed some ugly render of Minecraft Steve nearly every day on /v/ complete with copypastas for months until Banjo was announced and it came to a merciful end.

The smash community has really poisoned the Nintendo community. It seems like any announcement has to include something about smash or the community throws a fit it’s so fucking annoying.

Honestly the only thing that comes to mind when reminising on steve posting and that model is this
Imagine being this deep into adult hood and your life hangs in the balance of the Smash roster.
This sounds like the next sequel in the saw franchise, but suprisingly not the lamest premise they went with

The way he says "This was a Direct for people who like SMT" while failing to realise he's demanding every Direct pander to his specific niche exclusively.

The waifufags at least make sense. It's a strategy game with a focus on building relationships. If Nintendo wasn't so family friendly, I'd wonder why they don't just take the next logical step and have the characters get married and have sex.

The anti-fans are angry at a game they never had any interest in to begin with. The Fates censorship scandal shows that it's an attitude Nintendo of America has as well. I might hate social justice "games" like Gone Home and Life is Tumblr, but... Okay, I'm a hypocrite, but at least I don't burst a blood vessel over it.

The DLC stretching things out as long as it has certainly isn't helping either. Normally the autistic speculation period lasts but a couple years or so (and about an extra one for 4 with its DLC bout). But by the time Ultimate's DLC is done, said speculation will potentially be dragged on for half a decade.

I think by the time the final DLC releases they'll make a Smash Ultimate Complete be a launch title for their new console were it contains all the Switch DLC on it in a single cart.

Honestly I'm really curious how they would do a multi-cart game. It's not the heyday of having a few games total up to 8 discs needed to run, but with stuff like Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming with an install disc. It makes me hope for the return of bulky game cases.

Those Multi-disc CD cases could go up to 16 discs in total, but those were incredibly rare and they were never used for actual games.

It's one thing to see something and know its not for you and move on.

It's another thing if you're so emotionally invested in something not made for you and waste what little time hating it.

I really love Nintendo although yeah, the fandom has a lot of knuckleheads, but this is true of every fandom.

Eh, things basically began to fall apart around the time of the GameCube.

No, things fell apart with the Wii, the Gamecube/GBA era of Nintendo was fucking awesome, I wish things could have stayed at that level, but instead Nintendo chose to focus on gimmicks at the cost of basic horsepower, it's sad that it's been almost 20 years since a Nintendo console was on par (I guess the Wii U was.... for a single year)

I basically took a ten year sabbatical from Nintendo, I've not beaten a single first party Wii game and other than playing New Super Mario Brothers U on a Target kiosk I've not touched a Wii U game.

The Switch brought me back because the gimmick was worthier and gets less in your way than motion controls, it was great reconnecting with Mario and Zelda after so long, but the Switch is still underpowered when compared to the PS4.

One of the greatest tricks Nintendo pulled with the Switch was making a non-handheld non-console. Judge the console for it's lack of power and sub par ports? "It's just a handheld". Dismiss it as a sub par handheld that plays second fiddle to phones, is too bulky for day-to-day use, and fails to live up to the standards of previous Nintendo handhelds? Suddenly you're not supposed to play it in handheld mode unless you're on a plane or something.

Reminder that one of Josh's biggest complaints about LM3 is the color of the ghosts' eyes.

Also, the ghosts were always minions, even in the original.
I am pretty certain that he just hates Next Level Games and is just finding flimsy reasons for it at this point. He constantly trashes on the company and staff for no reason. He hates their Mario titles because Strikers seems too out of place with Mario because it is dark and edgy, and he hates Luigi’s Mansion because him and others have this grand idea that Luigi was a much more horror aesthetic game, a Disney Haunted Mansion come to life. News flash, it was not. The original was better connected, but the formula would get stale real fast had Next Level not varied up the locations.

I think by the time the final DLC releases they'll make a Smash Ultimate Complete be a launch title for their new console were it contains all the Switch DLC on it in a single cart.
Smash fans hate the idea, but they really should just reboot Smash after Ultimate. The series has barely advanced since Brawl and the character numbers are getting to be ridiculous. Why not have a smaller roster that cleans up and modernizes the characters who have been stagnant since 2008, if not older.

Not to be that guy, but you really should try out the Wii. It was way overlooked by hardcore gamers and contains the best entries of quite a few series. Brawl is probably the most ambitious Smash, Mario Kart Wii has very higher level mechanics and a superb roster, Super Paper Mario has an excellent narrative, Donkey Kong Country is a great advancement to the series, Mario Super Sluggers is the best Mario sports title, etc.

Games like Epic Yarn, Endless Ocean 1 + 2, Return to Dreamland, and Xenoblade were all great as well.

I do have a Wii and tried it, but the motion controls just never grabbed me, but one big issue was the layout of my bedroom back then made it hard to actually play it.

I have been feeling like maybe I was too hard on it and should go back and give it a second chance, maybe one day.

I've hated the fanbase since the Gamecube. Smash played a part in it, but their lionizing of games that coasted along on legacy is something I also take issue with.

I've hated them since the N64. It was when so many companies temporarily abandoned Nintendo and the remaining fan base turned into a hardened cult-like hive mind.

Most of the games I mentioned have no usage of them weirdly enough. The closest is pointer controls, which are amazing for FPS titles. Honestly wish Nintendo would keep that feature more.

I think out of the games listed only Endless Ocean uses pointer controls throughout, but since that game is a somewhat educational explore the ocean title, it is very nice and really eases one into the experience.

I still remember Animal Crossing fans throwing a shitfit and hating on Fire Emblem because a direct that was made to focus mostly on 3H had no mention of AC.
