For waiting, they better add some more stuff. Like Dual Strike or some Famicom Wars shit.
Translating the older titles would be the minimum in mending bridges after delaying this game for so long. Hell, they may as well remake Days of Ruin and add it for free. A small part of me thinks this might be more due to squenix saturating the marketing with four big srpg's and nintendo being unsure how to compete.

Considering that Advance Wars is getting a physical release in the West and Front Mission isn't, I'm not sure about that. Besides, Advance Wars is more scifi and Squeenix's were all fantasy.

So what’s the consensus on the real reason why Advance Wars is delayed? Is it:

A) The game was an unfinished buggy mess and Nintendo needs more time to finish it
B) muh Russia
C) Using B as an excuse for A
D) They’re going to add content from other games in the series as a bonus (lol)
I'm assuming that it's B. The game already looks reasonably finished, going by the trailers.

I really think it's because of B, and to prevent journalists from making fearmongering clickbait about it where they bring up how Advance Wars 1 was released a day before 9/11 and that it's a harbinger of real life war or some shit

Well, they've said its B and I have no reason not to believe them.

Anyways, I wouldn't expect any additional free content to come from the delay. Wayforward probably finished the game months ago and went back to making Shantae sequels, there's no additional money in it for them to add even more stuff.

Didn't the game accidently get released digitally to a few people who pre ordered and then immediately cut off their internet connection after downloading? Shouldn't we know somewhat if it was a buggy piece of shit needing delay?

I remember reading about that, but haven't heard anything since. I figured it was bullshit because that should mean a pirated copy should be floating around somewhere, and alongside that would come screenshots and vids from hacked Switches and Yuzu

Because sheeple don't have the sense to ignore half of the retarded shit that journos push. Remember 1/6? Or 9/11? Y2K?

I completely forgot that it was developed by Wayforward.

I’d like to think it’s anything other than B on the grounds that B is completely retarded. Are they so worried that a game with tanks would… remind people that war is a real thing that exists? What about all the other companies making games involving war? I could understand delaying it by a month to let the dust settle since it’s a lighthearted Nintendo game, but it’s been over half a year at this point. If this were a smaller project, I’d almost expect them to pull a “Pokemon Best Wishes finale” and just cancel the game outright.

I haven't played the originals but aren't the antagonists wascally wussians? I can see the reasoning for Nintendo to want to avoid any potential controversy with the title, even if it has a 95+ percent chance of not happening, when the release itself is a non-tent pole secondary release unlikely to make much money or sell many Switches.

What is the appeal of this creature supposed to be exactly?
He was made by a muppet fan, and I think he used actual spare muppet parts that he brought from Seasame Workshop (they actually have tons of off-the shelf parts and default body types.) Sadly, like a lot of Nintendo commentators, he's gradually lost the plot over the years and just goes on to make the same fucking video talking about Pikmin/Paper Mario/*insert Gamecube game here* over and over again. He also hardly even shows the puppet anymore since its easier to just do the voice without it and then insert that over purchased game footage.

So with the way Nintendo has been handling the Advance Wars remakes, I guess this means the chances of a Battalion Wars 1+2 remaster/HD port is out of the question? Had fun with the second one back in the day, would like to see it get an HD port or remake.
