Ahhh I see. I read the summary of the game when it came out and it had some shit about a young girl dealing with negative emotions and anxiety or something. There's nothing I find more annoying than listening to other people's retarded problems related to their own neurosis, so I didn't look into it any deeper than that.
It gets worse. There was a tiny trans flag in the ending of the game and thus the fanbase essentially forced the main character being trans into canon because wholesome Keanu chungus or whatever.

I still have my fat model from 2006. It lost its ability to reliably display any color that isn't black and white around 2010. Heartgold isn't too bad in black and white.
Did your hinge break on yours? Mine just cracked one day whilst it was open and there's no real way to properly fix it. I'm wondering if it's a plastic quality issue because that shit crumbled.

It's not actually my first fat DS. The touch screen stopped working on my first one because of a bad fall two years after getting it. I had to get an out of warranty replacement from Nintendo. From what I remember, Nintendo had really good customer service back then. Eventually got a DS Lite when my fattie started going monochrome. The Lite is mostly for playing Final Fantasy 5 now.

Only consoles I've ever had immediate problems with have been the PS2(mine mysteriously lacks any ability to let controllers vibrate) and the Nintendo Switch. I baby those joycons and they still show drift symptoms.

@Massively Strong Greed Fuck you, you're mad. You see that rating I gave you? You better back the fuck off, mad man.
I don't know what you were hoping to do to try and counter a pot of greed build with a Can

But don't hold grudges, back in the old days when someone would lose, they would just call the other player a Dark Magician and move on.

ReviewTechUSA has made a living off of riding the Nintendo hate train by making mediocre videos a day late and yet he consistently buys all of their stuff.
The worst thing is that they post those inane and asinine hot takes as if they were Martin Luther nailing his thesis at Wittenberg.

There is always a lot of hyperbole and hysteria in the denouncement of Nintendo.

The new pokemon games are so indefensibly ugly. Octopath Traveler has a really beautiful interpretation of modernizing a pixel art RPG, with other games following their direction.

It's a shame that pokemon never adopted a similar aesthetic, only reason I can think of is that it doesn't appeal to children.
The praise of octopath has always been off to me. They just made a fugly pseudo-realistic 3d world, slapped 2d sprites with shadows in, added a fuck ton of god rays, DoF, then called it a day. Doesn't help the story and gameplay are top generic RPG. I do agree that Pokemon needs a different style, but this is not it.

East Asia's a pretty broad place, and aren't Asian people notably proud of their home countries? Seems like every Azn dude I come across, the first thing I learn about is what home country their family comes from. This nigga glowin', I swear.

Yeah, he replied to that guy, but not another doesn't want a serious answer, he just wants an inlet to whine about those dang dirty Whites. He sure replied to that guy, but not the top-rated comment that recommended Yakuza. Or another with Sleeping Dogs. Both excellent answers.

A lot of his post history is just him REE'ing at white people in different ways, too. Plus, plenty of funny random shit like these:

Octopath Traveler got a lot of hype before it launched, which I figure came from it being the Switch's first true exclusive (at the time) RPG, and something of a throwback to PS1-era RPGs, considering it looks like one, but with post-processing effects. The music is either bland or pleasant, the battle theme is very good, and the idea of picking one of eight characters to start with was really cool. But then again, most of those characters are incredibly boring and cookie cutter, and I restarted the game a couple of times before settling on Primrose the dancer, considering the thief and item shop girl's intros were very boring.

and then I recruited maybe half of the cast before just shelving the game, declaring it "ok", but now looking back and remembering how I can barely remember a thing about the game. It's all incredibly bland, and everything runs together. The writing is incredibly boring, bland, safe, and just soulless. Battles, even random common ones, go on way too long, and bosses are tests of endurance, considering EVERYTHING is a damage sponge.

It's not an awful game, but it's definitely like a 4/10. It's a comfort food kind of game for a certain kind of person, but it definitely did not deserve the hype it got. And come to think of it, it's nuts that it got so much more attention than Dragon Quest 11.
