I'm not even going to click, but losing in Pokemon is a form of grinding. You get to keep all the exp you had, you just lose items used (if this changed I wouldn't be surprised) and time in that battle. That's fucking it. Even if you lose, if you beat at least one Pokemon, you come out stronger.

Nintendo fanboys are no different from the CoD fags they despise so much. Playing the same damn thing again and again. At least the CoD kids gain some hand eye skills and such. Nintendo fans learn nothing but brand loyalty.

And I say this as someone who likes Nintendo. I assume everyone in this thread does.
They're probably the least offensive/problematic major video game company out there, just a little incompetent in certain aspects.

These fags need to touch non digital grass and stop trying to make Nintendo into something they aren't. And stop holding them to Western standards.

PLA fans need to chill. You don't need to be positive about every aspect of the game to say it's a good game. Sure, it was never going to be competing with BOTW, but the only open-world game I can think of that looks worse is that port of ARK Survival Evolved.

It's not just PLA, people have been making excuses for Pokemon since Gen 6 and have been going "HEAVY DAMAGE CONTROL" since Sword and Shield. This is just the latest from the Pokemon Defense Force.
 
The only important defense of Pokemon is, "My 9-year-old loves it. Are you nine? Then fuck off."

Man, this is rather awkward for me to read, given that even though I'm nearly 30, I still really enjoy Nintendo stuff and am still a fan. Not obsessively mind you, and I definitely am willing to call them out on their ****, but their games and such are still things I look forward to.

If that makes me some sort of manchild unable to grow up and be normal, then so be it.

They'll immediately concede that the graphics are not the best in order to avoid discussing the shit mechanics. Your game is still fun, guys. Plenty of fun games are creatively bankrupt and rife with mediocrity. It's okay. It's Game Freak, what do you expect?

The new pokemon games are so indefensibly ugly. Octopath Traveler has a really beautiful interpretation of modernizing a pixel art RPG, with other games following their direction.

It's a shame that pokemon never adopted a similar aesthetic, only reason I can think of is that it doesn't appeal to children.
 
Nintendo is shutting down the wii U and 3DS eshops. Also by August they'll make prepaid eshop cards for those services irredeemable.
I guess I should be asking what games should I be getting on 3DS before it's too late.
 
Just focus on exclusives.

And fuck Nintendo.

So basically, just hack the damn thing and go download anything you want.
