I don't know what these people are so worked up. it was a third party focused direct, there's only ever a one or two things of worth in ANY direct showing multiple games, main series Shin Megami Tensei has debuted on Nintendo every time besides Nocturne, and look at that, the remaster debuts on Nintendo.

Actually no the Remaster debuted on both PS4 and the Switch at the same time. The Trophy info was spread last night.

SMT3R is not an exclusive and apparently the first two SMT games are also in the works to be put out in some from on consoles if moonrunes are to be believed.

That's Final Fantasy ADVENTURE, AKA Seiken Densetsu 1. The original SaGa games were rereleased but only for phones and the DS in Japan, not in the US. Romancing SaGa 1 only got a rerelease for the PS2 in English.

That said, dude, RS3 was released on the Switch last year, so why not play that?

I have divided them in

Kids: those are the new guys, the people that start with Nintendo because is the most easy and accessible platform to begin with, they mostly don't know the memes or dont follow religiously the nintendo directs, they get their updates for youtubers or visiting the store those are irrelevant in the great scheme because they have not been corrupted by fandoms

Consoomers: those are mostly people that only buy Nintendo to be trending because the big N has a very low bar of entry, youtubers and "influencers" (that word is sickening) are included in this package, they are the kind of morons that make videos with them making dumb faces in thumbnails with stupid opinions that no one care, claim they are fans when they dont know jackshit or get their opinions for other sites and hate when people tell them they are wrong, they are easy to recognize because they stick to well know and documented games in the western fandom like for example a Consoomer would stick to Final Fantasy and say that FF 7-10 are his/her favorite but dont know anything about Dragon Quest or Star Ocean, the reason they do this is because is more easy to find gameplay on video and they can say dumb things without putting the effort also they dont know anything about IPs that are not in digital stores is another signal that someone is a consoomer

Cultist: the worst kind, those are the ones that make the memes about nintendo tards, the kind that dont know anything outside of Nintendo IP's (aka kiddie games) the ones that complain with absolute hate how nintendo dont make directs every single day, those are the guys that reggie complained about it (iirc he said something that they ask for things you give things to them and is not even a second after they have it that they are asking for more), those are the one that the normal gamer make fun of it, high change they play like shit avoid them at all cost

I feel like you need a middle ground group. There are plenty of fans who get the inner side of the community, such as memes, but are not diehards. Typically they just find the games good and play more outside of just Nintendo as well. They also may take to a community, like how Three Houses has been going strong with many.

I guess I should extend it to Nintendo First-Party, when was the last time you've even heard of a non nintendo game on nintendo consoles being popular?

In all seriousness though, many smaller communities do help the company. Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong, Metroid, and newbies like Splatoon are all really popular. Along with Pokemon and Kirby of course.

I'm not quite sure what your point here is. Are you saying that Smash community heads should have said something? Because as far as I know, there are no heads of the Smash community. But prominent figures like Alpharad did support Byleth. But a lot of these figures also mocked anyone even slightly disappointed in Byleth, so it's just hypocricy.

A bunch of big YouTubers made a big stink about how fans are toxic because the “Hoes Mad” meme was thrown around for Hero and Byleth and how it was used to silence criticism. I think JebTube was one of them. They would usually get on fans of these characters for acting bad, and never take in the context that weeks or months prior the Smash community went into their territories to stir up issues as they do not like their franchises. The event in general just became very one sided in some ways.

If you want to buy a PS5, have at it. Nobody cares why. Or at least the way THEY do it.

Honestly, after watching the PS5 event, I want one. I was unhappy with the PS4 as it seemed like Sony sat out for most of its life and just tried to make Last of Us clones. If we are back to the days of Ratchet and Clank and Little Big Planet, than count me in. Can we just get another Twisted Metal as well?

The only GameCube games I liked are all on other systems as well, and the only Wii games I liked were rail shooters, namely House of the Dead: Overkill and the "Chronicles" games for Resident Evil

Granted, I grew up on PS1 and PS2 and I generally like the dark and edgy shit like your GTA and Resident Evil or weeb games like Final Fantasy, but I honestly think a lot of the N64 hype is due to Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, and Super Mario 64 (and Majora's Mask too, probably)

I will admit, Doom 64 is pretty cool and I did actually like their port of RE2 with the extra files and the extra colors of blood.

The Wii's massive surprise success at launch to where it won the console war right out the gate is also what more or less cemented Nintendo's reliance on gimmick consoles although they've gotten slightly better with third-party options with the Switch.

The first Romancing SaGa game is the only one worth playing. The second one definitely worse than the third though.

What do you think about remakes versus ports? I would rather have a port of an old game than a remake. Acceptable tweaks are screen resolution fixes.

Part of that was how smash bros has changed over the years, ultimate all things considered came out relatively quickly within the switch's life cycle. This means for most of the system's life roster autism has dominated discussion of the thing. DLC also has extended the life of it since now the bickering doesn't just stop when the game is out, hell it's going on for two more years if the release schedule is anything to go off of.
Combine that with ultimate's massive roster with no cuts, and it's the Hurricane Katrina of game autism. not saying there won't be more after ultimate's life cycle but it surely won't be this bad come smash 6

yeah i was just giving examples of the extreme and non extreme but normally those fans are ok and they behave like functional human beings so i did not mention them

One of the things that pissed me off during the reveal of Hero is the freaking entitlement of the western youtuber nintendo fandom, they believe that only western ips or the ones that are popular in there are eligible for smash, they forgot that Dragon quest is freaking huge in japan and with more reason that DQ was one of the main top sellers of Famicoms when it was released, every single dragon quest is and still are top sellers in japan, that they dont move the same units that Final fantasy on the west? who cares, DQ is practically a symbol of Japan and they deserved to have Hero on there, you got freaking Banjo, be grateful

Also the west cant appreciate Dragon quest for shit, every reviewer shitted on XI because it was to conservative and the gameplay "did not change to much" in every iteration, the same fuckers that praise call of shooty shooty every single year

I think your experience is valid, but also a bit too narrow. Yeah, there were a lot of Smash people going to other communities and stirring up stuff, but that doesn't give a free pass to how even mild disappointment was spammed with Hoes Mad. In fact, I'd say even a lot of the Fire Emblem fanbase was disappointed that it was Byleth, because of how bland Avatars are.
