IMO the real reason FE isn't represented in things like this (besides not regularly pulling in tens of millions of sales like the big boy Nintendo franchises showcased in that lineup) is that it varies too much between entries to be represented by a singular character. Sure, Anna is recurring, but she's not at all as core to the series' identity as, say, chocobos and moogles are to Final Fantasy. Even if she doesn't completely work as a series mascot she'd still be my first pick to represent Fire Emblem in a general Nintendo lineup just because her appearance, the Awakening era design in particular, wouldn't look that out of place.

I own the Switch because it has games I want to play on it. Some of them are Nintendo games. The majority are not. I like having a physical collection.

As for Xenoblade being family friendly, I'm surprised there aren't Nopon plushies.

Let me guess, every Nintendo fan you've "met" was from browsing the web?

Emulation maybe the case for the older games, but the more recent ones require a computer with decent specs to run smoothly. Something that isn't readily accessible to a lot of people.

I would say they are even worse than apple coonsumers since the later mostly buy that to flex the brand around, you cant flex a fucking switch

Anyway, both yuzu and citra can run even on APUs, its literally cheaper than buying the consoles considering what you save on games

Fun fact: The most well-known Nintendo emulator developer is all of the above, as well as being a liar and a furry. In some ways, being a direct Nintendo consoomer could be less cringe than using emulation.

Although I never got an answer on how you were supposed to do that for In The Groove with those 3-4 simultanious arrow appearances on some charts like DAWN or ANUBIS

Bracketing, I guess - where you stomp the bracket and try to trigger two panels with one foot - but that's tough if you're playing on a converted DDR cabinet. It's much easier to bracket on Andamiro cabinets.

Aliens in our Midst on Expert Doubles from ITG3 also had a segment where you hold four panels and have to slap two more while you're holding those, I think that's as crazy as anything official ever got

The western/english Nintendo fanbase doesn't bother me personally because they do stick within their dedicated groups, even if their behaviors can be weird and stupid. Like some of them getting disappointed/upset by announced JRPGs on Switch (see: Xenoblade 3) but I assume those people grew up with only the N64 and Gamecube (systems that had the less japanese game support and which were region-locked no less) and no handhelds.
Can't say the same neutral stance about Sony/Playstation fanboys though.

Regardless, none of those internet fandoms should refrain anyone from enjoying video games.

Neither Yuzu and Ryujinx could correctly run the Switch games I've tested a while ago (I recall testing Taiko Tatsujin NSW, Dragon Quest 11 S, Zelda Musou DX, all JP versions) on a AMD Ryzen 7 2700x and RTX 2060 system. I suppose first-party titles might emulate okay now but I'd rather wait a few more years before claiming it's an actual alternative to the real hardware, once compatibility issues for the full Switch game library are sorted out. I still have better hopes for the Switch's emulation to fully mature unlike the Playstation Vita's.

No they don't, they've been a known form of gentrification for decades. The defining trait of the Nintendo fandom is that they come into places and then immedietly try to turn anything to be geared towards their nintendo nostalgia. Like the Persona 5 on switch leaks have been happening for years and every time they happened it brought a wave of intruders.

And the gamecube did not lack of Japanese game support and neither did the wii following it either. Gamecube had Cubivore, Skies of Arcadia, baton kaitos 1 and 2, Tales of Symphonia, etc.

The Wii even had stuff like Castle Shikigami 3. The N64 wasn't region locked either, the port shape was different but they could play japanese N64 games just like the SNES could play Super Famicom.

The n64 had a small library just in general, but it had games like Harvest moon 64, Ogre battle 64, Mischief Makers, Goemon Mystical Ninja, etc.

Everyone who grew up on the Nintendo systems had access to Japanese games, but the problem was they were not made like Nintendo's own games, that's why they don't like them. Hell when final fantasy 7 launched on the playstation that set the tone for them to deem everything like that to be shit. Because Nintendo doesn't design their characters to look like anime which typically attracted a more mature audience pre 2010's. So anything remotely anime was just lumped in with the edgy dark stuff that threatened to take away their childhoods.

Hearing "rumours" that Nier Automata is being ported to Switch. Probably bullshit, I can't see the Switch running that well at all.
