Actually no this is what came from Nintendo itself

They don't consider Xenoblade one of their primary series. It's why they're not showing up in marketing group shots for characters. I don't agree with it personally and I think they should promote it, but they have chosen not to align Xenoblade along the likes of Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and the others. I think even the Nintendo wiki does this and excludes Xenoblade and has it be directly at the bottom under "other" or something like that.
To be fair, considering the character designs in Xenoblade, they probably don't want to slap a bunch of anime girls with obscenely large tits right next to their kid-focused franchises like Mario in their marketing.

But it extends to shit like their store decorations and stuff like that. Xenoblade is absent.

It's like Disney ignoring stuff like Treasure Planet and Atlantis.

I knew I had it saved to my hard drive

It's the same stuff they're banking on for their multimedia expansion. There's a clear tier list of franchises.

And again directly from their company website

Why even bother making a Direct solely for Xenoblade 3 if Nintendo "doesn't consider it a primary series"? For that matter, why is Xenoblade a Nintendo-exclusive franchise in the first place if what you said above is true? Shit, Splatoon 3 has only gotten paltry 2-3 minute trailers while Xeno 3 gets a full-blown 20 minutes. Xenoblade 1 Definitive Edition was the "one last thing" at the September 2019 Direct, and got a solid chunk of that next February's Direct Mini focused entirely on it. Xenoblade 3 was the "one last thing" at this past February's Direct. And this isn't even mentioning the sales:

That's not a bad number for what people consider a "niche" series.

TL;DR: You're full of shit.
Why is Xeno Nintendo-exclusive? Because they literally own it you fucking mung.

As to RPGs not selling well on Switch... sales numbers have very much not borne that out.

>comparing Nintendo's treatment of Xenoblade to Disney’s treatment of Atlantis and Treasure Planet
>when, along with the aforementioned Direct exposure, they put THREE - count 'em, THREE - of its characters into Smash Bros., possibly the biggest thing you can do to promote a series

This is one of those cases where I pray to God that you're trolling, because there's no way in hell you can actually be this pants-on-head retarded.

To promote it so more people will buy it so it will become a primary series.

Honestly, there's more hype for this game than I can remember for an rpg in a long time and it's great.

The only thing I'm hoping is that Live A Live isn't hurt releasing so close to XB3's release date.

Look man I'm not seeing any Xenoblade Happy Meal. Treasure Planet at least got that,

To sell you on a PS5, of course. You'll watch the Direct and say "rarrrghh but this isn't a primary series!!!!! fuck this and fuck nintendo im going to buy a GayStation™ 5 where they only show primary serieses in their playstation state of play shows, even if they're crappy shit like The Last of Us"

I have it on good authority that he just went on his period. Have fun with that.

That just doesn't list Xenoblade as a "household name". I'm surprised to see Splatoon and Pikmin there though, especially over Star Fox.

This is why I really don't like the idea of RPGs in general being reliant on a Nintendo console for their main base. Because it's not based on Classic Nostalgia™ it's alien or foreign to Nintendo's main consumer base and they wind up putting stuff at odds.

Nintendo itself doesn't even consider Xenoblade to be a primary series but considers later series stuff like Splatoon a primary series.
Pokemon the biggest JRPG on the planet is reliant on Nintendo machines what the fuck are you blabbing about bro? Well at least your hypnotise proof.

Pikmin being considered a household name was ridiculed hard when that list came out. That absolutely has to be Miyamoto demanding it be ranked as one of their first rate series.

I am surprised there has not been another proper Pokemon direct yet. I assume we will get one in August not much is really known at all about SandV

Nintendo was so scared of Pokemon going to other consoles or gadgets, they purposefully bought stock and bought Game Freak. Pokemon makes effing bank for Nintendo in Feb alone it made 1.6 billion. That for a quarter and a remake that was not very popular is incredibly popular.

To put it this way Mario made Nintendo 94 000 000 in 2018 and in 2019, 320.3 million. Pokemon is Nintendo's money maker at this point.

Nintendo's main consumer base is normal people wanting to play fun games. Plenty of the RPGs these spergs rage at sell well. Clearly normal people wanting to play fun games enjoy the occasional RPG.

Pokemon makes most of it's money through merch sales and not games.

Also I made a pretty clear distinction between well established series with nostalgia and games that are not. We're talking about a series that has returned to Kanto numerous times.

Normal people have not been waiting years to finally see The Republic of Calvard.

Splatoon is super popular in Japan. Pikmin was probably a Miyamoto thing, but all of them have that 'mascot' energy that's easy to promote.

But yeah, there are countless RPG franchises, but I think you can only count on one hand how many can feasibly be considered a 'household name' and Xenoblade certainly isn't one of them.
