Pretentious Wilde fan who hates when you bring up Oscar's wife doesn't like when the bisexuals date the opposite sex.
Maybe they have this "fake victim complex" because you're telling bisexuals who to date.

I'm taking a nice little trip through the wlw tag for the lulz.

Girl, you're homeless. I don't think this is the time to be so selective with the person who will be nice enough to allow you to stay with them.

Maybe you shouldn't post your dumbass opinions on a public site then if you can't handle outside opinions.

Non-lesbians aren't allowed to have self esteem.

If you got rich enough you could just make your own lesbian films instead of changing films that exist though. Why.

Another thing I noticed while going through the gay tags. Every young gay person on Tumblr uses "queer" yet any gay person I've seen who is over 30 fucking hates that word and wishes people wouldn't use it.

"Truly loving cats means hating yourself. "

I guess that means truly loving dogs means you need to be adored 24/7?
The issue as far as I can see it is not that this woman dislikes cats. It's that she's a judgemental bitch with a laundry list of ridiculous demands for what she figures she's entitled to out of a partner, and thinks that there's something fundamentally wrong with anybody who doesn't live up to it all. When men do this they get roundly shamed for it, and with good reason: apparently insanely entitled women just get paid to write blisteringly egocentric op-eds about the 26+ things a partner has to be to be worthy of her time instead, because female entitlement is somehow just cute and quirky. If having one or more fluffy, razor-clawed ingrates in your life is going to keep people like the author away, then that's something I think cat-lovers everywhere will somehow learn to cope with. Dog people will just have to lean to love crossfit or improv or militant veganism, I guess.

No word, I note, on what she is supposed to be bringing to the relationship that might make living up to this insane standard somehow worthwhile. I guess it's supposed to be enough for this hypothetical Dream Girl that she gets to be seen on the arm of the author, that lucky duck.

If you're looking for somewhere that will let you bring in two cats, your options are very limited indeed. I wonder if this person's ever rented before?

Bend It Like Beckham does have a subplot where Keira Knightley's mum thinks she and Parminder Nagra are in a lesbian relationship, which doesn't add anything to the plot and isn't funny. It's quite plain, however, that this person either hasn't seen the film or wasn't paying attention to it. The central concept is that it's about an Anglo-Indian girl from a traditional background who wants to play soccer. On a broader level, it's about the clash between conservative Indian culture and more liberal British culture among the children of immigrants. If you then make that character from a traditional background a lesbian, well, that's going to change literally the entire dynamic of the film - particularly the subplot where the main characters have the hots for the same guy.

You could probably do a pretty good film about a traditional Indian girl struggling with the realisation that she's a lesbian (like My Beautiful Launderette, but without icky boys). But Bend It Like Beckham is not it.

I feel a little bit sorry for these people, TBH. It's like they don't understand close friendship, that you can be very close to a person without having sex with them.

I think it's because "queer" is quite non-specific. If someone describes themselves as "queer," it might mean "sometimes I look at people of the same sex and think 'you're alright, you are,'" or it might mean "othersexual trans demiboy of colour." You can claim oppression points as and when required without being called out. See also: Ashleigh Shackelford.

It's mostly because queer was an insult and older gays are still against it. Even if you're not offended by the word faggot gays hearing other gays calling themselves faggots non-sarcastically find it kinda weird.

They don't understand friendship. Everything has to be a gay relationship when it's friends in a movie. Hell, I remember when gay Tumblr was throwing a fit because the movie When Marnie Was There made them relatives instead of two little girls being gay. And because they shipped the two of them before the movie came out, they all ranted because it didn't end the way they wanted it to end. So they accused Studio Ghibli of putting out incest. (No really.)

Well, iirc the movie was based on a novel so I guess it’s not like Ghibli could change the biggest plot twist from it. People still whine and moan about the changes to Howl’s Moving Castle, after all.

But yeah, internet lesbians like those are creepy fuckers who think same sex friendship can’t ever exist. Plus they give fuel to the homophobic stereotype about gays and lesbians preying on anyone of the same gender that considers them friends. Ugh.

LOL at "queerbaiting." This is Sherlock all over again.
I wonder if they realize how creepy they sound.

What is weird is that these are often the very same people who say that being friends with someone of opposite gender should be normal, and that Straights who insist otherwise are Disgusting.

So, how about "anyone could be just friends irregardless of gender, orientation and degree of hatred for Otto Dix", huh?

I do like how the lesbians on Tumblr had that fit and accused Studio Ghibli of doing incest when THEY'RE the ones who made it incest.

I can't help but laugh at all these morons who seem to think that Studio Ghibli adapted a 50 year old children's book for the sole purpose of pulling a fast one on a bunch of thirsty lesbians.

Google-fu tells me that some Japanese people use "himejoshi", but it's not used in English-speaking places. Yet.

According to the Tumblr rule: Straight people can't fetishize over something because it's creepy. But lesbians and gay guys are allowed to. Gotcha.
