Netflix has picked MHA as their next target to enshittify with a shitty-ass real-life adaptation:

I can see them making Mineta even worse than he is, turning him into an ALT-RIGHT GAMERGATER ULTRA-MAGA NAZI CHARLIE KIRK STAN TRANSPHOBIC HOMOPHOBIC ANTISEMITIC ISLAMOPHOBIC SINOPHOBIC RIGHT-WING TRUMP SUPPORTER pervert, and use that as an excuse to kill him off early in the movie/TV show.

Or they just adapt him as-is and nobody cares.

I think I have the perfect idea of how it will go.

The funniest thing is, it will most likely be worse than this.

Final Season started today, view episode one here.

The first third is basically a recap of the fight between quirkless All Might and All For One, and I thought the bit where a little niglet watching it on TV while his grandma says events in a far away country don't matter to brown people was a bit on the nose.

If they had the main character losing his power for the mid series and then a time skip where he learns to battle as a normie, then it might actually had been a nice twist. But fetting depowered in the end was just retarded

I did not expect the "All For One is metaphorically a pedophile" reveal.
He was a firm believer of the merge telling Tomura's dad to breed his wife for a son.

"Inside the grandson of the seventh wielder, All for One and One for All shall merge"

He went to great lengths to ensure the anchuent prophecy happens as foretold by the great Mouse-Hedgehog mutant Nedzuchu.

I’m gonna be honest with you I like this show for the villains, the 2006 year old egelord in me likes how creepy and cool they look but the way they all act like a friend group overseen by two straigtmen to set them on their goals: AFO and kurogiri, and can adapt and sorta take in new people like Skeptic and have him feel like he’s been there to begin with, could have been the show itself

What pedo stuff did they put in?
It's metaphorical, not literal, so it might be the same in the Manga, but basically AFO targeted Shigaraki as a child. He influenced the anti-hero thoughts of his father to get close to the family, and touched him twice, once to steal his natural quirk, and a second time to give him the decay quirk. The latter was especially molester coded cause he approached him on the street, said "I'm a friend of your father, its dangerous with all these cars, why don't you hold my hand?" and thats when he got decay. Also the whole time this is being revealed AFO is narrating it and sounds like a predator.

Overall the whole thing is like he targeted him as a kid, touched him, and that's what made him a monster, which to me reads like pedophile shit.

The audiences shitting on the endings is why every msnga now gets a longer extra chapter at the end that fixes the ending every time.
The only one I can think of that did this is attack on titan that somehow made the ending several orders of magnitude worse.

He wasn't born with decay? That's pretty bullshit because there was an interesting plot point on how society hates people with negative looking quirks.

nope. And Decay is a hacked in half copy of Overhaul, only keeping the destroy part.

Might as well give this a pity bump since Vigilantes S2 is airing. The anime ending came about and low and behold it was universally acclaimed just like the rest of final season so now everyone who hated it looks like a complete retarded cuck.

I don't think there's a single series that suffered from agenda posting as much as this one and this was what made me realize how bad current anime discourse had became even in this thread there's mostly horrendous fucking takes.

Why does every suggestion for the direction of the story winds up being shit all because people are obsessed with the concept of hobo batman? Its like they want to ignore all the worldbuilding just to satisfy their fanfic
An anon brought up how Yu Yu Hakusho had handled the love between Yusuke and Keiko much, much better, and in a way that kills the "oh, but romance isn't the main focus of the story" argument. You can still deliver a satisfying conclusion if you're not a hack writer. Unfortunately, Hori is a hack.
Have you actually read YYH and not just a nostalgiafag who thinks "old good new bad"? Saying Yusuke and Keiko was handled well is like saying Goku and Chichi was it doesn't help that Keiko is barely a character. Also imagine unironically quoting /a/ when most of those faggots are illiterate
This really needs to be studied. I don't think we'll get anything with as much staying power as the Big 3 or dragonball ever again.
Given the current state of all those franchises that's a good thing. What's more embarrassing is that Demon Slayer is about to outsell Naruto's entire run if not already and it ended in 21 volumes and only lasted 5 years.
Would it be because the Japanese audiences didn't shit on those anime endings, while it was people outside of Japan, namely Western countries, and in some cases China, i.e. how they dunked hard on Attack on Titan's ending, even though there was no localization of it made in Chinese officially, that had negative reception to those endings? Are Japanese audiences just in general more hesitant to criticize media that is bad or has a bad ending, out of fear that media will stop being made because creators wouldn't be able to take criticism?
Japan actively shat on Oshi no Koi and JJK's endings and is currently shitting on Hosoda's latest flop Scarlet. MHA's ending(s) were well received and it was only westerners malding over it, it got so bad that even they thought that all the sperging over Deku being a teacher was retarded and the McDonald's memes made no sense, that's why I don't believe the extended epilogue was made in retaliation to reception overseas since the volume would have came up short of 200 pages if it had been released as is and most extras are usually just a few new pages or nothing at all. At certain point you have to wonder what is considered a "good ending" anymore if everything is considered shit by westcucks? I'm sure its not because you fags have high standards not with all the slop that gets praised.
Its funny I think because MHA and JJK are like mirror polar opposites of one another.

In MHA, it takes 300 chapters for the plot to advance by a grain and with the glacial pacing everything blends toogether and nothing stands out, meanwhile JJK advances 300 chapters worth of plot per page, with the result being that the whole story feels like some kid high on meth recalling his favourite highlights resulting in a story completely devoid of substance because its skipped.

MHA is all point and no edge and JJK is all edge and no point.
Its moreso that MHA does not fit within the current zeitgeist of media consumption its very much a shounen from the 00s at heart only instead of long drawn out fights you have long drawn out plotlines so you have to be invested in it or else you're just going to hate it. JJK and CSM are essentially brainrot because there's no point in getting invested in any aspect of the characters or setting since the authors will just kill them off or render it moot they're mostly about retaining the readers short attention spams with viral moments and aura. I feel like Hori should have just abandoned the more battle shounen elements and focused more on the character drama and interactions because that's the main reason why the series gained so much traction initially but he probably just wanted to keep it safe given he suffered from two cancelations prior to MHA.
Midnight and Mirko were, arguably, two of the most popular female characters in the whole story, yet one gets all her limbs chopped off and the other is killed by some random mook.

I noticed something similar with JJK, nearly all the popular female characters are either killed, torn to shreds or maimed one way or the other.
I love how you literally don't bring up all the male characters who suffered the same fate or even the tranny character who got their torso completely blown off. So when female characters are treated the same as males it means that their authors are gay but when they're set aside and do nothing it means they're sexist? You just can't win
