Hunting horn, one more QoL. In World, when playing a song list, it always goes from top to bottom order. Now, there is additional inputs for player to choose what song goes first, then it goes back to top-bottom.

That was introduced in World actually, so it's just a carry over QoL.

I don't know why people are so upset about the glaive not being able to bounce off its helicopter anymore. It was the glaives worst move. Inaccurate, did shit damage, didn't deal mounting damage until the last hit, and got clipped by jank vertical hitboxes all the fucking time. Glaive has one of the most versatile grounded kits while also competing with dual blades for the most mobile weapons in the game, and now redditors are upset that they can't centralize this swiss army knife of a weapon around one dogshit move like they do with every other weapon in every other game.
Because many of them never played IG outside of World and Rise. They never got to experience 4th gen IG, Reddit is a cesspool of World babies.

I'll at least give the demo a shot when it comes out, monhun is still one of my favorite series of all time despite the last couple entries being shit, it hasn't reached the pokemon tipping point yet where the shit is outweighing the good stuff, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thoroughly unimpressed with damn near everything we've seen so far.

I'm predicting about 4 full-sized maps in the game, with a couple obligatory arena-style maps for story elder dragons. Roster is most likely going to be a similar size to base world's, just with more variety at least, and not 30 different brute wyvern, fanged wyvern, rathalos, and kushala clones.

Cart cats are GONE??!!
I didn't even notice that, are you fucking kidding me?
My concern lands on if the Devs will eventually phase out the two unique looking sets in order to save development time and money, where we end up with one androgynous set in future games.
Given the existence of the ever more present "Body type A/1 B/2" I can see this being a thing. They'll do it to cut costs and say it was for exclusivity to rake in that ESG faggotry. Win/Win for them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
...I fuckin' knew.
Unironically bow is like one of top usage weapon and the highest usage in ranged weapons.
I loved using the bow back in the day, if they're casualizing it I'm not using it assuming I get this game like...a year after launch. Unlike certain retards.
I think that was what devs meant by the whole new bonus from mix set if they are in same Wyvern category, along with full set bonus from one monster like World.
Am I retarded? This just didn't compute with me for like the first 5 times I reread this sentence. I get it now but fuck it took me way too long to understand this sentence. So custom mixed armor might be fucked.
given the retarded levels of denuvo crapcom has been putting in everything, the clearly unoptimized look of the game, and issues with the engine itself, you're gonna need a pretty beefy pc rig to brute force it.
I believe it's the latest Denuvo (they're getting more aggressive with the checks so the performance is getting worse), Enigma (some random ass anti-cheat made by some Russian who considers modding as cheating no matter what that Capcom was fooled into thinking was actually run by a large team of tech wizards), and other aggressive checks Capcom made like in World. I wonder if clicking the "close" icon and moving the icon to the side will work like it did in World lol.
1. That usually means ugly choices for the female characters that tilt towards more boring and shapeless outfits/armor.

Or

2. Pictures of cool, feminine armor on ugly barrel chested male characters flooding the community.
Like with SF6, freak fighters meets freak hunters.
I also think it’s probably more of a lazy, do-less-get-more choice than political though. Capcom will claim otherwise to try and get good company points though.
Good, I'm not alone in thinking this.

Yeah that's what I feel if they do that. Absolute despair. "Can't have the player thinking their previous monster hunter experience means dick! We HAVE to make sure they understand EVERYTHING regardless of how many hours they sunk into the Monster Hunter series. We need to make the side character we spent all this time making be front and center at all times!"

I feel conflicted I like swimming because of its added exploration and fighting under water is fun but only having half the experience is kind of annoying although I do hope maybe they reconsider an add it in a later DLC like they did with the claw and world.

If they ever bring back underwater combat I really hope they go the extra mile revamping underwater monsters. Every leviathan in tri had the exact same moveset underwater bar Lagiacrus who had like two unique moves of his own. Gobul was the only underwater monster that had a completely unique moveset and his gimmick really tapped into the potential of omnidirectional movement and positioning underwater. Surprised he never got a subspecies because hes a very good boy.

I'm just surprised they allowed swimming at all if combat is not involved. Are there even attack animations under water? If so, expansion could maybe expand and bring back underwater combat.

If it's just to explore, seems pretty pointless. Once you have explored an area once, you just quick travel to what gets you to your target the fastest, seems like a lot of effort for nothing.

My biggest question is if move customizing will be a thing. I loved that in risebreak.

Honestly, I'd welcome it if just it allows the team to develop better zones. Like okay you have to swim now and then, but that means a monster can flee onto a tiny little island and now it's a real "arena boss fight" where it's scripted to only go there at 30% hp and not leave til dead.

It's a bit sad how most MH zones are just knee-deep water at best.

As I put well over 1500 hours into World I will be deep dicking this.

I've resigned myself to my fate that this and Path of Exile 2 is all I will be playing in 2025.

>armor game
>becomes cosmetic in endgame cause you get 1-2 shot
>even lance and horn are built all-in on dmg instead of defense and utility
I wanna praise MH for having a non-mandatory support 'class' but fucking hell, feels like an extra difficulty dps role all the same.

My problems with world are the monster variate and the maps felt small along with some weapon design chooses being just bad.
I never need to see another game in the series have the raths, pinkian/azurelos, and the metal raths taking up 6 damn slots. It was also extremely annoying how they artificially bloated the monster count by cutting a base game monster from iceborne and just calling the G rank version of its fight (fuck you, not saying master rank) a brand new variant. There was more difference in the G rank Uragaan fight in Iceborne than most variants they added.

I really dislike the Ancient Forest for the opposite reason. Too big in terms of verticality and a pain in the ass to navigate for me. Any specific bad weapons designs choices? Unless you mean how the weapon is designed as in cosmetic in which case...yeah. I also agree with the monster variety, especially initially. Fuck I mean look at Uragaan and Radobaan. Off topic but...your pfp...I swear that George Floyd face wasn't there before.

Amen, I know they're the flagship monster for the series but it's just...just stick to maybe one subspecies for the raths if you must have one of each.

Which one was that again? Also lol Master Rank, what a silly change even if it's a minor name change. I guess they wanted something the new coming Westerners wouldn't be confused at despite it existing for years. "G? What the fuck does G stand for? Great Rank you say? Master is more fitting" is what I'd imagine those faggot ass localizers said. Supposedly from what I read it was changed because it was "cooler sounding."

Says a lot how the more interesting fights compared to the variants was from fucking FF and Witcher crossover. Fuck me even the variant's armor was largely lazy. The Blackveil armor is fantastic but...I mean look at the difference between the Shrieking Legiana armor to the base armor.
