Leon or Belal? Who cares. Winner gets fed to Covington. Hoping Jinh Yu-Frey can pick up a W. She’s an awesome person.
Lol neither. Leon fish hooked Belal so hard you would think Belal was a grooming gang member who molested his sister. Seriously though, really shit eyepoke that had him bleeding.

I do not like how the sterling/yan fight played out. First of all, i think the downed opponent rule is too often milked for time. I just don't see how presenting your head undefended is any kind of "position" and really does not play into any part of the sport for me. Secondly, the ufc shouldn't have titles change hands off a no contest. Yan was fucking him up and sterling had every reason to feign not being able to continue.
same, especially given the fight yesterday which essentially finished the same way.

Way I see it, Yan should still be champion and should've been a NC. Heres hoping the rematch is booked sharpish, Aljo was 4 rounds down before the knee

Judges disagree with Aljo being down 4 rounds, but thats why they suck. Idk what the hell he was doing. Push at a pace you can't keep for 2 rounds, get nothing out of it (one takedown and one good knee, but Yan nulls that with a knockdown and a takedown) and then go 1/17 takedowns against a boxer who outclasses you in the takedown game. So much spinning shit and giving up his back as well.

Yep, people are already screaming about UFC having a full arena in Florida next month, calling it irresponsible and a reckless disregard for human life.
and what these retards don't realize is that every single person there is doing so willingly. Don't like it, then just stay the fuck home. You can't get mad at people for wanting some semblance of normality, it's been over a fucking year.

Pretty good tripleheader though. I'm not so stoked about Usman/Masvidal II as I don't see it going all that much differently outside of maybe Masvidal spending more time on his ass as opposed to the fence, but I'm hoping Shevchenko gets a decent challenge from Andrade and I'm excited to see Zhang return after her war with Jedrzejczyk last year.

Who have we got then Stipe vs Ngannou? (I'm going to completely ignore the fact there is a fight night this weekend).

I feel the UFC are putting all their eggs in one basket with Ngannou which I don't really understand. I think from their POV they want him to destroy Stipe although the winner has nowhere to go anyway? Face Jon Jones and lose?

I think Stipe wins unanimous decision

Francis will crack that chin.
Stipe is slowing down the Dc trilogy added a lot of miles on him.

Jones gets destroyed at Hw.It's not Coke Bones Jones anymore it's pico Jones.
He struggled againt guys like Santos and Reyes he will get destroyed by Hw like Stipe or Francis.

Real Hw and fake Hw(like Jon) side to side

I still think Stipe has it in him to beat Francis, and I think he will.

I can't even bullshit, leading up to a fight Holland can be annoying but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the show he puts on in the octagon. Not so much when he's on his back for 20 minutes though. Takedown defense is trash and he's far too ready to jump in instead of utilizing the distance he can create with his height and athleticism, needs to work on that. Needs to cut the stand up act after the first round or 2 too and get serious.

This weeks card seems cursed. Volkanovski diagnosed with Covid after he cleared in Australia and after entering the UFC bubble, then tested positive, so his fight with Brian Ortega and the fights of the any of his teammates are cancelled.

This means that fucking Tyron Woodley vs Vincente Luque got bumped up to co-main event. A guy who has definitely lost all rounds in his last 3 fights and is too shy to pull the trigger is the co main. Combine this with a potential 5 round wrestle fuck by Stipe or a 1 round KO by Ngannou and we could be looking at a really boring main card event.

While it looked pretty underwhelming on paper, the last RIZIN event kicked inordinate amounts of ass. Finishes and excitement aplenty.

Takeda/Kume was a barnburner and the first two rounds of Hamasaki/Asakura II were fantastic.

EDIT: RIZIN just uploaded all of the fights today on their YouTube channel which gives me the great pleasure of sharing this hilarity:

We all know Ngannou has a ridiculous punching power, but his defense and chin are a bit underrated (unnoticed?) imo. His distance management is actually good, and his chin is most likely more robust than Stipe. In their first fight, Stipe hit Ngannou with a pretty solid straight but Ngannou just hit back as if punches weren't real. The same thing happened in Roze fight too.

On the other hand Stipe is a bit too hittable & rockable, he survived by going for a panic double when Ngannou rocked him but this time I don't thik that works. Ngannou will just stuff the takedoown or worse, counter with a short uppercut from Hell because he knows how Stipe reacts.

The fight will be competitive and interesting (at least for me) if Stipe fixes his lazy high guard (where he tries to block punches as if he's wearing boxing gloves) and/or mixes some calf kicks (unlike Izzy Stipe has takedowns, calf kicks can be totally real this time) BUT I don't think Stipe changes his fight style because he never ever did. He'll try to box & wrestle, then get knocked out by more composed/calm version of Ngannou. Thanks for your contribution for the sports Stipe, I like you but Ngannou is OP.

Also, I hope Oh'Mally's foot breaks again for keks.

I really don't know. Stipe is the better fighter, but all it takes is one punch from Francis and it's over. I think DC would have an easier time with Ngannou than Stipe since he's a lot more prone to finishing his opponent on the ground than Stipe (see his fights vs Lewis and Rumble x2). I think Jones beats either one of them if he's back on the sauce, though.

Jones walked around at like 235 before he added some weight for the move up. He's the same height as Stipe.

Man, I just want Jones to take a proper L from either Stipe or Ngannou. That guy is one hell of a shitbag. The man already has a pretty fragile ego in spite of all the things he's done, taking a proper L would be fucking glorious to watch.

For this fight IDK, I want both to win. Stipe is near the end of career, another win over Ngannou and possibly a win over Jones would be a good end to his career. On the other hand, the potential of seeing Ngannou knock Jones into outer space would be great. Ngannou does have Usman training his wrestling and in his corner, so that might help the wrestling.

Does Stipe shoot with no setup? Blaydes did all the time, which is how he got timed and countered.
No, Stipe is usually really good at setting up his takedowns. He's also a former golden gloves boxer

Although I think Cormier beats Ngannou easier than Stipe does. I think Cormier / Ngannou would be similar to the Lewis / Cormier fight

In that case I can see him getting those takedowns without getting badly countered. Whether he can keep Ngannou down like he did last time is the question. When you look at someone like Blaydes, he doesn't set his shots up, or if he does it is always jab-shoot bent from the hip. So he either gets countered off the jab (Ngannou 2) or countered when he shoots (Lewis). If Stipe mixes it up and survives the early onslaught, I think he can land those takedowns.
