Mike Chandler in the cage trying to kick field goals.

At least he's not eyepoking or fish-hooking (yet).

Finally a fun card.

Pimblett destroys Chandler easily. That was surreal, Paddy looked scary. I think he beats Gaethje and Poirier, maybe even Charles and Arman, tbh. That was a really good performance. Chandler was just too small for him.

Volk still has it. That was nice, but I can't help but feel that Volk is still not in his prime anymore, which makes this win all that more impressive. He wasn't picking up the pace a lot in the later rounds like he used to. I think he beats Movsar as well. Jean Silva I feel would ko him tho. Sad for Diego, I really like him, but I think he'll be back

did anyone watch that yair vs diego back and forth and suddenly want them to fight?

weird to think conor could've actually won if they fought

Perhaps I'm not giving Pimblett the credit he deserves for shutting Chandler down, but it was as least as much a case of Chandler looking terrible as it was a great performance from Pimblett IMO. He looked hesitant throughout, and basically gassed in the first round.

Inspiring performance from Volk, glad to see him elevate himself above the other "Three Kings", Usman and Izzy. Usman's squatting on a #3 ranking while all but retired and Izzy hasn't fared much better in recent years, while Volk holds gold. Lopes dropped Volk twice, and had he landed that sequence that dropped Volk in the second about thirty seconds earlier we'd be calling him champ. Volk had maybe the best fighting under duress I've ever seen, just pieced Lopes up over and over again and prevented him from going for the kill. 48-47 but a clear win for Volk IMO. Just how good are Ilia and Islam?! That fight needs to be made yesterday.
Feel bad for Diego, but this shouldn't be his last title shot. I hope he gets another crack at the belt before his chin wears out.

Love seeing that spastic, cheating, niggerloving fraud Chandler getting turned into a human paintbrush by Paddy. I agree with @Pampered Degenerate in that Chandler looked awful and did most of his negative IQ nonsense as usual, but if Paddy's striking improvements are real, Paddy's size alone will take him into the top 5 at least, if not a title fight, I'd either give him Arman or the loser of Olivera-Holloway, depending on what other fights get made.

Yair will get sacrificed to Lopes this September, and Pitbull needs to either be cut or fed to Silva.

Bryce Mitchell is SMALL for 145, he'd get mogged by every other FW that fought tonight. I love the man and his dedication to Christ, but he needs to see if he can cut to 135, he'll never break the top 10 at FW at his size.

Silva's going to end Volk's career with a brutal KO in about 18 months time.

I'm so happy to see Dom Reyes climbing his way back up, I know it won't happen but him finally breaking through and taking the belt those judges stole from him would be the greatest story of perseverance since Glover. He should get Rakic for a top 5 spot (I'm assuming Jan retires).

I'm glad Volk got his belt back, but Lopes looked great in defeat. He'll retool and be back in a championship fight. I think 5 round experience made the difference.

As much as I don't want to like Paddy (Bri'ish, Liverpool), the guy keeps clawing his way up the mountain of the UFC's most dangerous division. He has to be one fight from a title shot at this point. The last challenge is breaking the iron wall of the Top Five. Justin doesn't need to give anybody else a charity fight. Paddy is keen to get at Charles and have submission fight, Dustin would check whether Paddy has any dog in him. But the fight that makes sense is Armin v. Paddy. Armin needs to collect a ranked scalp to get another title shot. Paddy needs a top five lightweight to get a title shot. Ilja won't fight Paddy unless it's for a title.

Bryce just got pushed around by Jean Silva. He needs to hit the weight room and get his physicality up.

Now that Dominick Reyes has his mentality cleared up, him getting back to the LHW that was rightfully his 5 years ago is the story UFC could sell if they were smart.

Chandler needs to pack it in at this point or the UFC needs to feed him a nobody outside the top 10.
Chandler wasted what was left of his Athletic prime chasing Conor McGregor. He didn't even bother to show up after the Paddy fight for another dumb callout, he's done.

What a great card with a lot of consequences in he FW division.
Great performance from Ige, stoppage was bad, but Ige was gonna get the finish so Im not too upset. Dunno where woodson goes from here.
Dom Reyes is fucking back, his physique keeps declining, but he cant stop winning. Krylov was a solid win.
Mitchell needs to change gyms and possibly divisions. Everybody is cutting over 15lbs of weight, everybody has an advantage on Bryce. You can't get away with not cutting weight. I know he doesn't want a brutal weight cut, but he's gonna get big brothered every fight. Silva would be a great contender for 145. He need to dial in the diet though, I'd prefer him to stay at FW but I think he'll outgrow the division soon. Silva vs Topuria at FW or LW sounds fun af.
What a performance from paddy. So awesome watching him beat that cockroach chandler. Left him in a pool of his own blood. Those 12-6 elbows were MONEY. I expected way more 12-6 elbows from mount after the rule change, and paddy used it perfectly.
Lord Forgive me Aldo, but Volk is the undisputed FW GOAT no questions or arguments left.

i don't think jean deserves a title shot just because he became ranked. let volk fight mosvar, if mosvar beats him, fuck it give it to him

edit: just realized they put jean at #11 instead of #13.. lol

I'd like for Evloev to get the next title shot, honestly. He's kind of a bore but he's the most deserving in the division. Also, he matches up stylistically pretty well with Volkanovski, he's not really a knockout threat and Volk's counterwrestling is amazing.

I agree that while he isn't the most exciting, he does deserve it more than Jean, and I'm a huge Fighting Nerds boy (before it was cool, dammit). Would love to see every fighting nerd as champion one day, though. I believe Caio or Prates will be champions first.

It's funny how every one of them has become a powerhouse and then there's just the random female fighter chilling in the back

Volk vs Movsar, Lopez vs Rodriguez, Silva vs Allen & Aljo vs Ortega should be the next major matchups for Featherweight
I'm happy with those. I'd also be happy to see Jean fight Yair. I was gonna say I'd like to see him fight Emmet, but Emmet kinda sucks. I've never understood the hype, people say he hits so hard, but out of his 19 wins he has 7 KO/TKO's.

As washed and one-note as he is, he has a nice resume an is still a good test for rising prospects like Lerone Murphy but I think we can all agree Jean can skip the gatekeeping part of the roster and go straight for someone around the top 5. Matching him up with Allen would be amazing imo.
