I'm glad we have a FW Leon Edwards. If this was on a PPV card, this would be one of the worst PPV cards ever. I don't know why I was pretty excited to watch FN last night, but man I lost all interest by the Finney fight and I was fucking pissed to see him win in that way. I wanted to see niggerbabboon swang his way into a win but I knew he was going to win because the rules on wrestling is so fucking gay and you can stall for 15 minutes and throw less than 10 punches and still come out with a win.

Glory 99: Last Gunt Standing was pretty good this weekend. The highlight of the event for me were the commentators talking about how the father of one of the fighters died the day before his fight and how that makes them root for the fighter, then said fighter gets knocked out in the very first exchange. Looking forward to Glory 100, shame the streams are hard to come by and of poor quality since there's not much interest in it. Never see Glory fights uploaded to any of the main websites that host MMA videos either.

The planned launch of the Global Fight League is all but dead.

The fledgling, team-based MMA promotion has formally canceled its debut slate of events, California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster confirmed to Uncrowned's Ariel Helwani on Wednesday. Multiple additional sources confirmed the news.

GFL had planned an ambitious launch to its first season, aiming to stage a two-day, 31-fight lineup on May 24-25, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The double-header events were scheduled to feature 42 UFC veterans and nine former UFC/Bellator champions (including interim champions), however those plans have now fallen apart.

GFL founder Darren Owen told Uncrowned on Wednesday that "my main investor didn’t fulfill his April obligation," which ultimately led to the cancelations. Owen said he believes the promotion "will be able work through it," and that he doesn't foresee the events taking place in California "but we absolutely will keep pushing forward." Owen said target dates of June 15-16 are now being discussed.

Yair is fucking abysmal on the ground. It won't be competitive. Yair is a mental midget on the ground and just gives up. Only reason he has that sub over Emmett is because Emmett has negative fight IQ and kept having one arm in one arm out like an idiot.
But yeah fuck Evloev, yair's style is very fan friendly.
Kickboxing? Sure I'd watch it. Yair played his cards well to hype this fight up, and waiting until this presser to bring it to try to get the Lopes fight. He fights like once a year, sucks on the ground, and was ducking zabit before he retired.. Yair sucks and he's jealous another dude is repping his country better than him.
I'm shocked everybody made weight. Silva is gonna have to move up, he aight got the discipline for 145 for much longer.

I picked him but honestly Silva creeps me tf out.

This makes me think Ilya is going to be manhandled at lightweight though, considering how guys like Ige and Silva were able to nullify the wrestling while Ilya actually had to work to defend the takedowns.
 
Bryce's country-fried awkwardness couldn't contend with that favela-monkey athleticism.

It seems like every 20ish years some new Brazilian gym/team comes together and just lights MMA on fire for a few years before splitting up/fizzling out (Chute Boxe, BTT, now Fighting Nerds).
