Excited for Bellator vs Rizin new year.
McKee vs Souza, Ougikobo vs Horiguchi, Bontorin, Dodson, Pitbull, Inoue. Good shit.

It sucks Satoshi lost (in a close fight but still), but McKee redeemed himself imo. He looked quite well-adjusted to the Rizin rule, even though he did some wild shit, maybe his fight with Pitbull was shit because Pitbull is the stinker. Also, Takeda, who could have thought someone could come back from a knockdown this bad

Who is your fighter of the year? I'm asking everyone involved in the thread.

King Edwards the Roid Slayer ofc

Volko for me. When is the last time in MMA, boxing or kickboxing where you have a trilogy fight where both fights 1 and 2 are competitive, and then in fight 3 one of the fighters just beats the shit out of the other with ease, without one of the two being shot? Never.

Canelo GGG 3? Triple G is old and way past it now. Chocalatito vs Juan Francisco Estrada 3? Close and competitive with swings. Fig vs Moreno 3, close and competitive with both getting hurt several times. This… both in their prime, both pisswalked the rest of the top 5 at the time, and Volk goes from having a hard time in fight 2 (with a good argument that he lost) to making Max look like Korean Zombie.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for nothing, Dana.

Gastelum out, Strickland in. I can already see how this fight plays out and it's going to be dogshit as Strickland bamboozles Imavov with hand swatting and jabs his way to a split decision win/loss because he just doesn't do enough in rounds to put a stamp on them.

Holy shit they actually just let Ngannou just walk away. Also Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane is apparently now official. The fact that Jones has been talking mad shit about going to HW for years, and then only does it after Ngannou leaves is fucking comical.

If Dana is being truthful about pay (big if) I'm assuming they refused to let him box or he had some other stipulation that the UFC would not meet at all.

I wonder how Jones is going to change, stylistically, since getting XBOXHUGE. I can see Jon we knew vs. Gane being a fun fight. All in all, I'm just happy the HW title is back in play,

Fully picogrammed Jones vs Gane will be a disaster for Gane considering how bad Gane's grappling is, even though we have no idea what version of Jones we're gonna see. My guess is, Jones destroys Gane on the ground but the fight is declared NC because steroids ofc, then Lesnar and short notice bloated Jan fight for the title.

As a side note, I hope Fury keeps his word and fight N'iGger with OFG, even though that most likely never happens (if Fury actually does fight with OFG, he is a goat boxer of human history even if he loses).

Think i recall Francis ranting at some stage about how he deserved a huge payday for his next few fights and Dana/UFC countered by saying that he didn't really drive ticket/PPV buys so they weren't willing to meet his demands.

There is a chance that UFC might replace Dana in a hostile takeover in order to make up for payday.

"Big pay" in the UFC is probably about 800k. We have Ngannou's payouts from his fight with Gane because the card was held in California, where these fight events are legally obligated to release fighter payouts publicly (probably one of the only good things California has done legally). He's was paid 600k. I think they had Overeem at 800k, Stipe at 700k.

It's a complete joke that they can't afford their heavyweight champ, and he walked. Jones absolutely ducked the shit out of Ngannou. If anyone has seen his announcement of the fight, Jones looks fat. Jones can't wrestle for shit now and Gane could stalemate Ngannou in clinch tie-ups. Reach isn't going to be a big problem either since Gane also has long arms and comparable height.

Dana White said:
Jon Jones has been willing, ready, and able to fight anybody. He didn't care who it was, it could have been anybody in the heavyweight division. He was ready to go. And...um...we offered Francis a deal that would have made him the highest paid heavyweight in the history of the company. More than Lesnar. More than anybody. Um...and he turned the deal down.
The brass balls on this lying sack of shit.

What's the over/under that Jonny Bones melts the USADA piss cup AGAIN?
