UFC 282 predictions: I want to know what's the thread's consensus on this card, personal I think it's a weak card after Jiri vs glover fell out. Still some good fights. I really want to see how Raul Rosas Jr. does in the big leagues.

Dogshit card that they want people to pay for.
-Main event is very likely going to be boring. Would mind Jan but don’t care.
-Gordon is chosen because they think Paddy the Faggy can beat him.
-Ponz Morono probably Morono, but who cares
-Till looks like shit, so probably the South African
-Mitchell Topuria the best fight. Body shots could be a problem for Mitchell. Topuria pretty dogshit defensively. Lean Topuria.
 
Judges are fucking outrageous.

I'd say there was some kind of anti-Russian bias after than Yan/O'Malley decision and now this but Paddy disproves that. Some of these judges are as bad as boxing judges.

Also my mate thinks the Morono stoppage aas early but I disagree, what do you fellas think?
 
Paddy was a clear robbery, main event being a draw I agree with but could see a card for Ankalaev. Entirely his fault that it went to a draw. Dumb fuck just last year saw a 42 year old man outwrestle Jan and beat him within 2 rounds, and also saw Jan hang with Adesanya, a good kickboxer. So of course he has to kickbox and lose 2 very clear rounds, get his legs destroyed, and have one 50/50 round where Jan is less active, but has more impactful shots. The bearded faggot grew up with Greco-Roman wrestling and is a Sambo master of sport, so he has no excuse not immediately pushing for the obvious win condition. Him whining afterwards made him even less likeable. Hope he fucks off to another organisation like he threatened to. Given a golden opportunity and got exposed.

Paddy is dogshit and was gifted a decision. One of the judges was also the same judge that gave Sabatello 50-45 for doing nothing in top position in Bellator, so he's shit. Very unlikable scouse faggot.

Till is washed and tore his ACL. Scouse joke has no idea how to wrestle and made the stupid spatic South African a contender.

Topuria was the highlight, flawed, but announced himself as a contender with a strong win over Bryce.
 
Beating Till doesn't make you a contender, this isn't 2018.

Watch Ankalaev's other fights, he's basically a dollar-store Adesanya, just feints and counters. He's never wrestled in his UFC fights. This one was a literal "oh, so you're a wrestler now?" moment. Jan is pure dogshit on the ground, so he got raped for 2 rounds straight. Ironically, if Jan woulda kicked the shit out of Mago's legs over 5 rounds instead of 3, he woulda won the fight.

Just thinking that if Jiri didn’t injure his shoulder and this fight was 3 rounds, Jan would have probably clearly won.

Ankalaev is such a frustrating fighter. His top game and wrestling is the best part of his game given his background as a Greco and Sambo guy, and yet he thinks he’s Adesanya. Definitely a worse Adesanya, and without both the technical depth or body conditioning.

He checked quite a number of Jan’s kicks, but it didn’t matter, Jan has steel swords for legs, kicked through the check shin to shin, and won that battle on pure leg conditioning. No wonder when he and Izzy fought, Izzy’s legs were dead by rounds 4 and 5 from checks.
 
It is really cool that he saw Israel handily lose to Jan and then also saw Glover run through Jan and thought to himself "yeah, let's go with the Israel game plan"
 
I hope Ankalaev actually keeps his words and leaves. He is such an unfunny salty whiny bitch. Not to mention we have enough Kadilov's male concubines already (Makachev, Cumshat), it's getting too much. Ankalaev can just keep fighting Nemkov or something, Fuck off.

Also, Till should be cut but he'll do fine in BKFC. It's kinda shame he never implemented kicks to his game, he could be like Cro Cop 2.0 if he did but whatever.
 
Meh, I imagine that Ankalaev would just wrestle in the third instead, we get a 10-9 10-9 8-10 draw instead. We'd get 10 minutes of our lives back, so that's a plus. Yeah rewatched a bit of it, it's insane how he just doesn't give a fuck and throws leg kicks full force. The only other fighter that does this (that I can think of) is Barboza, who's also a freak.
 
Ankalaev might pull it off if he didn't act like a bitch, but instead he raged DSP style.
 
That main event has to be one of the worst I’ve seen this year. I think because of circumstances it might be worse than Rose-Carla 2. That fight with Rose and Carla was in hindsight, really funny. This lunatic in Rose getting in her own head and losing while her paedo boyfriend gives the most insane advice, then Carla getting mulched by Weili later.

This? This was two guys having a women’s flyweight fight for 25 minutes. Same exchange for all 5 rounds, no one sure who is winning or making the correct adjustments. The absolute state of middleweight atm.
 
What sucked about that fight was Stickland/Cannoneer both failed to improve since their last fights. Strickland was way too comfortable just jabbing and rolling, while Cannoneer focused way too much on landing heavy right hands. They can never beat top 3 guys if they keep fighting like that.

I personally thought Strickland showed a better skill set because his defense was on point, blocking/evading heavy shots for the most part, but you can't win a fight by just defending. He really needs to add something to his game, like the front kicks his corner was desperately asking for.

So ESPN are raising the PPV price yet again, going up another 5 bucks to $79.99. That's a $20/33% increase since ESPN got the deal in April 2019. Apparently the price of ESPN+ also had a big jump as well this year. Fucking lel, anyone who shells out at these prices is fucking insane, hasn't been worth it in so fucking long.
