Who is your fighter of the year? I'm asking everyone involved in the thread.
Volko for me. When is the last time in MMA, boxing or kickboxing where you have a trilogy fight where both fights 1 and 2 are competitive, and then in fight 3 one of the fighters just beats the shit out of the other with ease, without one of the two being shot? Never.Who is your fighter of the year? I'm asking everyone involved in the thread.
Is this about him and his wife acting like a couple of shitbirds in public?Well, nice knowing you Dana.
I wonder how Jones is going to change, stylistically, since getting XBOXHUGE. I can see Jon we knew vs. Gane being a fun fight. All in all, I'm just happy the HW title is back in play,Holy shit they actually just let Ngannou just walk away. Also Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane is apparently now official. The fact that Jones has been talking mad shit about going to HW for years, and then only does it after Ngannou leaves is fucking comical.
If Dana is being truthful about pay (big if) I'm assuming they refused to let him box or he had some other stipulation that the UFC would not meet at all.
There is a chance that UFC might replace Dana in a hostile takeover in order to make up for payday.Think i recall Francis ranting at some stage about how he deserved a huge payday for his next few fights and Dana/UFC countered by saying that he didn't really drive ticket/PPV buys so they weren't willing to meet his demands.
"Big pay" in the UFC is probably about 800k. We have Ngannou's payouts from his fight with Gane because the card was held in California, where these fight events are legally obligated to release fighter payouts publicly (probably one of the only good things California has done legally). He's was paid 600k. I think they had Overeem at 800k, Stipe at 700k.If Dana is being truthful about pay (big if) I'm assuming they refused to let him box or he had some other stipulation that the UFC would not meet at all.
The brass balls on this lying sack of shit.Dana White said:Jon Jones has been willing, ready, and able to fight anybody. He didn't care who it was, it could have been anybody in the heavyweight division. He was ready to go. And...um...we offered Francis a deal that would have made him the highest paid heavyweight in the history of the company. More than Lesnar. More than anybody. Um...and he turned the deal down.
