know it's cliche at this point for people to come out of the woodwork and say "I knew this guy was a creep, I could just feel it" after the fact but I knew this guy was a creep, I could just feel it.
I think the issue is that a lot of people think that it is morally wrong to hate someone that you think is annoying just because they are annoying.

Unrelared, but I think that the belief of "as long as it isn't hurting anyone it is wrong to make fun of someone for being annoying" is bad because it leads to people believing false accusations just because they want to make fun of someone while also wanting to be appear as morally righteous.
This isn't a commentary on Guude. I don't know anything about him because he was before my time. I just want to complain about it because it happens a lot.

Damn I had no idea Bdubz was still going, hitting half a million a video too. I haven't watched any of these guys stuff since probably 2014.
I check in on him every now and then and he’s genuinely become amazing at Minecraft building and landscaping. That being said, his videos wouldn't appeal to you if you dislike modern Minecraft, since it's pretty reliant on the more cluttered block palette and “block vomit” style texturing.

All I remember about Etho is him being canadian and spending way, way, way too much time on projects. Guy was a total freak when it came to the game.
Then you probably won't be surprised to learn that he's currently 596 episodes into a 14-year old vanilla survival world. Dude is unreal.

I consider Etho to be the gold standard of Minecraft youtubers, he's been doing it for over 15+ years and all that's known about him is that he's Canadian. He keeps his private life private, avoids discord and never interacts with fans outside of the odd youtube comment reply.

https://preservetube.com/watch?v=XvIEOidZv8w He had no strategy. He's just a salty and bitter man because everyone else was better at the game of content creation than he was, and this was from over 2 years ago.
It's interesting watching this now because all the "Guude killed Mindcrack" shit he was bitching about in the video is now 100% true. He has well and truly driven the final nail in that coffin himself, and all those amazing people he talks about most likely hate him like he went on about hating GenerikB.

Guy who makes those horror animations I posted a while back made another one for the Warden:
I find it funny how the generic ghost thing is in fact tangible and real instead of just being the MC's imagination, then got it's ass destroyed by the Warden. Interesting interpretation.

It gets even more ridiculous when you know that they were in the middle of their mindcrack "rebirth" season thing.

At this point, the "mindcrack" brand is worthless and they should probably just abandon it entirely since they'll never be able to get rid of Guude's involvement. Especially considering in that video he mentions something along the lines of "no one did anything so bad they should go to jail" yeah because there's a huge fucking difference between not disclosing a sponsorship(one of the things generikb did) and what Guude has done. Rob(that's one of his channels) mentioned clipping any rants about Guude out of fairness if they happen, but I doubt there will be much since the only one that would really have much to say about anything at the end of the day after Guude's rant and then his bullshit would be Generikb(and Rob apparently never openly said shit either) but he probably isn't the spiteful asshole that Guude is. He streamed yesterday for 12 hours, but I doubt he mentioned much about it considering how many years he's been separate from that shit show to begin with(and I'm not going to sit through a 12 hour VOD).

It's not that he's annoying, rather I clocked him as duplicitous the very first time I heard him talk. I don't remember exactly what he was talking about, something about his dying mom and moving houses or something, but it was a constant back and forth between something along the lines of "I don't like to complain/be negative/talk about real life drama/beg for sympathy" and then doing exactly that. And similar with talking shit about other youtubers or commenters, declaring that he doesn't like to do it and then doing it anyway, as though he's making an exception to a supposed moral code but conspicuously often, from which you must either deduce that he's the most unfortunate man in the world if this is only a narrow slice of what he has to bitch about, or he's full of shit. Plus that hallmark of always being the good guy in every story he tells except when he's the bad guy for being too nice/naive, like he's trying to talk his way into heaven. He was also the first person to clue me into the liberal fake laugh, where meek men will punctuate potentially contentious statements with feigned laughter to defuse tension, like appending "lol" to a text. Plus the timeless red flags of being short (and thus perpetually anxious to overcompensate), fat (thus signifying a willingness to take more than you need and do less than you could) and bald (lol). And of course pursuing e-fame, aka wanting thousands of people to care about you and pay attention to you without any expectation of reciprocity but not badly enough that you're willing to actually cultivate any talent to deserve it. And through not just the medium of Let's Playing, the gold standard for entitled underachievers who want to get paid to play videogames in their bedroom, but in a children's game no less. His whole persona is just a bundle of red flags. I don't pretend to know or care whether he qualifies as a narcissist or a psychopath or a sociopath or a compulsive liar or borderline or whatever but I have known from day one that there's something wrong with him and some shit was going to come to light. I didn't expect it to be pedophilia per se -- I don't think courting an audience of children necessarily makes you a pedophile, just as often it seems to be the case that people do it because children are dumb enough to believe the lies people tell about themselves. I expected more along the lines of sex pest behavior a la Louis CK or white collar crime or maybe domestic abuse. But I knew he was very accustomed to being dishonest and the success of getting away with it was going to embolden him to do something.

Into a 14-year old you say.

I wouldn't Mindcracking his head against the pavement.

It is unreal to me that Etho has been doing this forever and has not eaten shit for it. After 2016 almost every institution and entertainment personality became pozzed and political beyond belief. MCYT was on its way out at that point and tons of channels either pivoted (to disastrous results), trooned out and became shitty politispergs or died outright. Etho just keep trucking along and the only significant change with him is that when I check in on him once every 2 years he's just gotten better at it. Dude is wise and forward-thinking as fuck for a MCYT content creator.

It's been like ten years so correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC the whole reason Mindcrack fell off is because Jason wanted to make it a real, professional business where all of the Mindcrackers were employees. All of them had to agree to a contract that would involve merch sales, public appearances, monthly meetings, etc. A lot of the bigger Mindcrackers didn't take kindly to this, especially Etho who wanted nothing to do with the business side and just wanted to play Minecraft (also he was obviously not keen on public appearances because he's a very private person and had already been doxed before). Jason was completely unwilling to relent on it so Etho and a few other larger channels left for Hermitcraft.

I can't even begin to understand what Jason was thinking because Mindcrack was basically just Etho, Pause, Doc, BDouble00, and a few others followed by a bunch of literally who's that could barely crack a fraction of the views that the big guys pulled in. You can even find some very old reddit comments from the guys about how they were growing dissatisfied with the server before the business plan:

The group was already on a steady decline but Jason's greed basically finished it off, and I'm sure his CP charges are going to kill whatever's left of "Mindcrack Rebirth."

What if that time they asked BdoubleO why he was AFK inside the bread machine and he said "Can't get out." he was actually talking about his contract?

Kind of. Guude went over it in the rant video, but it was definitely to establish Mindcrack as a business(considering they were attending cons, wanting to sell merch, etc. it makes sense) but there was also mindcrack jeetscams and shit happening so he needed to be able to file a trademark and fight it as a business. Again, this makes sense. According to Guude, Etho just didn't want his name on anything legal in the event of a suit and discovery because he was afraid of doxxing himself that way(also makes sense).

Considering Guude was always a retard about how he went about things, he probably fucked the whole thing up and tried to make them all employees of the LLC or however he was going to incorporate it, rather than business partners.

GenerikB and Bdouble0100 split because Guude and GB didn't get along at all. The rest eventually moved to hermitcraft because Guude shit the bed with regard to how the server was being managed leaving shit either boring or hostile to creating content(like turning fire spread on and then claiming it was a group vote, which doesn't mean everyone wanted it on in the first place). All while Guude was butthurt that Rob basically popped up out of nowhere with his own audience, became friends with pauseunpause, and basically ran their own events and shit(that dwarves vs zombies thing) that Guude basically had no interest in.

Incorporating Mindcrack into a business made sense. He was probably just stupid about the entire thing.

I think Mindcrack was already a business at the time, from memory one of their early achievements was that they become a youtube partner network very early on, where everyone else had to go via machinema and other pre-existing networks which were very hard to get into, otherwise you had the shit youtube revenue split. The contract stuff was just about formalizing all the various informal agreements they had going on in the background.
