Wow, this comic sure showed us, guys! Us meat-eaters are just a bunch of cow rapists and baby eaters, after all.

We bring you another round of "Unintentionally Metal Vegan"! Here's hoping that "I EAT DEATH" becomes as famous as "MY STOMACH IS A GRAVEYARD."

Nothing much more to add to this, but isn't Shrek adorable? Look at how happy he is to lose all that fleece!

Shearing a sheep's wool is literally just like a large scale haircut, also it's not terribly efficient to mutilate the sheep while shearing them because they can't make any more wool so you just killed your profits next season good job.

Not only that but oftentimes sheep will actually be hurt by their wool when it isn't sheared in a similar way to how humans are hurt by not clipping their nails

Man, that Dog Food video was kind of hard to watch. I'm sure anyone who owns a pet would agree, they'd go mental if anything happened to their pet.

Speaking of films, did you guys know there was a film released 15 years ago that showed what it's really like at a chicken farm, and how horrendous and evil all mankind is?

i bet PETA thinks this is totally true

Cows have the same deal; they've been bred to produce much more milk than necessary so if they're not milked, they can get really hurt.

Like it or not, domesticated animals have literally been selected and bred over countless generations to have traits and physical attributes that benefit humanity the most. Thousands of years of careful selection and ensuing evolution aren't going to go away just because we decided to give up animal products. Also, basically all livestock (and most pets) are completely incapable of surviving in the wild, so I don't know what we'd even do with them.

Of course PETA will take that as meaning that their very existence revolves around being slaves and thus their species' should be euthanized

As someone from the country in question(NZ) who grew up around both cattle (dairy/meat) and sheep farms, I can point out this is correct. Seriously, about the only damage to sheep is if they get nicked by the shears, which is pretty much equivalent to what happens to you if you move while getting a haircut.
I've never seen any farms where anything like that PETA ad has occurred, and I've been on a few..
PETA seem to repeatedly go for fiction before facts- they've been running a campaign here recently about what happens to bobby calves, using a pretty clearly staged and isolated incident on video as their "source/evidence". The majority of bobby calves (the male calves on dairy farms) over here often get sold off to farmers as meat cows, or to lifestyle-blockers for the same

PETA go for the shock factor every time, rather than solid evidence and irrefutable fact.

It still astounds me that they make up all this bullshit when there are plenty of actual animals being abused on horrific levels being ignored. I mean, look at Seaworld. That shit's insane.

For real. I love my cat, and I'd go ballistic if anyone tried to hurt him--but he's a moron. Seriously. Even for an animal with a brain the size of a golf ball, he's dumb. If I had an attack of vegan conscience and released him into the wild, he'd last maybe a week. Why do you hate my cat, PETA?

(I know, I know, trick question. They hate him because he's domesticated. Domesticated animals are the Uncle Toms of the militant-animal-rights world.)

Also, Unintentionally Metal Vegan nearly made me inhale my Coke. I feel like this is the start of a new game a la Stormfront or SJW.

I guess whining over how farmers shear sheep is much more important than addressing how one of the most intelligent and emotional species on the entire planet are being confined to what's basically a bathtub, forced to perform tricks, and are being underfed, all because a corporation sees them as their property (their money-making property that is) instead of living creatures who deserve to be treated as humanely as possible. Seriously, from what I understand, SeaWorld as a corporation cuts corners to generate as big a profit as possible, even if it means the animals have to suffer for it.

My friend went to school and had a teacher who kept saying things such as:
1. Zoos are evil because people go there to laugh at animals
2. Putting clothes on your dog is abuse
3. Monarch butterflies are going to go extinct from habitat loss (milkweed plants)
Here is what I told him in response to these things (he thought they were insane too)

1. Who the fuck goes to a zoo to laugh at animals? Sure they might do funny cute things sometimes and you laugh because animals can be funny and cute but most of the time you go to zoos to admire and learn about animals. Also all the zoos that are trying to breed animals and do conservation work in the field (such as the Calgary zoo sending people out to study the locally endangered prairie dogs) all evil.

2. Most dogs don't care if you dress them in costumes sometimes because dogs love human contact, as long as the dog is comfortable with being dressed I see no reason to dress it occasionally. Also many small dogs need sweaters and coats to keep them warm in cold weather.

3. Monarch butterflies are on the decline mostly because of pesticide use, habitat loss is a factor (like most animals that depend on a very specific habitat) but it's not the biggest factor. I was working at a butterfly zoo the year the monarchs took a big hit, there was a storm in part of their migration route and a new pesticide was approved for use in the states that year. This was an issue at the zoo because they annually breed and sell monarch rasing kits to teachers and educational programs so kids can learn about the life cycle of a butterfly first hand (the monarchs are tagged and released after they become butterflies) They were only able to get one breeding pair of monarchs in and they were concerned they wouldn't be able to run the program that year. Because of this a lot of towns have stopped trimming the side of highways (milkweed grows there) and there's a large group of people who annually raise and release thousands of monarch butterflies and since that year the population has been rising slightly year after year
Bottom line, if you're gonna be preachy at least have solid facts and evidence to back it up

I mean, the whales are important and all, but some family has a dog that they love and take care of!

Gotta put a stop that shit.

I'm really curious as to what these people think about giving dogs haircuts, if they think sheep shearing is evil then what would they think of taking a dog (let's say a breed that grows long hair which either needs to be trimmed every so often or groomed like everyday) to get it's haircut.
Like I saw a video of a Shih Tzu who was a stray and his hair got so long and matted that he couldn't open his mouth to eat the treat they gave him so they had to sedate him and shave off his fur because it was so matted touching him would hurt him. He was ok after and got adopted but it still shows that you really need to get a dog like that groomed.

Something these assholes don't seem to appreciate is that both cats and dogs basically self-domesticated. They started hanging around people because food was around, and ended up moving in basically of their own accord. This isn't victimization.

Not to mention cats killed rodents and pests in our choice of dwelling and dog happened to have to same contempt for other large predators like we did.

I'm vegetarian currently, looking into veganism but unlike 99% of preachy tofu brats I keep my lifestyle/diet to myself. I don't expect anyone to conform to what I eat/do.

Honestly, going pure vegan is retarded unless you are knowledgeable about how to do it. It's also ironically crueler to the domestic animal population since you shun their gifts; ie Wool, Milk, Cheese, and Honey. All of which the respective animals are happy with giving up, since they genuinely do produce too much of it.
