I hadn't noticed before, but in the video he mentions that Manchester High took him 8 Lego Friends sets the first time he built it. They run between $40 and $60 each... yet there are at least 10 boxes in that stack, probably more. I guess he wanted to be on the safe side? I'd guess that just the raw material for this high school project alone has a truly absurd retail cost -- several thousand dollars.

I know little about Lego mainly because I am an adult and have seen a vagina, but it seems possible that one could just buy tubs of Legos, as people have been saying, and probably do a better job, cheaper. He's buying these branded sets for the parts, but paying like twice the price for the marketing and licensing. The entire thing is a colossal waste of time, but it's also being done in the most colossally wasteful, inefficient manner possible. And he still needs more. He still craves more. Truly his mother's son.

Look at those stupid Legos, it looks like Picasso got ahold of them.
Could there be another horrifying sculpture on the horizon? For the sake of my sanity, I hope not.

I meant the value of everything he's bought, would it be about the same figure as how much would be needed to rebuild 14BC?
Just their living expenses sucked up their cash flow. He did pay minimums on his credit card bills, but he'd be paying minimums regardless of if he was spending newly freed up credit on legos or not. (I think that's how it works.)

I feel bad for any little girl in the Charlottesville area who had that Lego set on their birthday or Christmas list.

It's really disgusting how he insists on holding onto these pieces of garbage.
And that goes to the trash "sculpture" he created as well.

Had it been anyone else there could have been some message of innocence lost behind a sculpture made of burnt and melting Legos, but this is Chris and the only message in that piece is "what is a trash can and why should I use it".

I'll give Chris a little credit here. I bet he threw out the melted parts. Those pictures were just taken as a curiosity. obviously he dragged the melted school back to his new house, but I bet it was just to see what bricks he could salvage from it before tossing out what he couldn't.

I shouldn't give him credit, but I will.

No, Chris doesn't tosses any of his toys away, never.

He's got Lego boxes folded up and off to the side, and he put together some of the melted parts into an abstract sculpture. He's not throwing away anything.

I just want to say that seeing his hands makes me realize how old he is now.
Dude, I'm older than Chris and I started working when I was 15 years old. My hands don't look anything like that. My grandfathers' do though.

Curse-ye-ha-me-ha's must take quite a toll.

Gordon, big fan here, going long on Anacott Steel, but you are straining to give him credit for throwing garbage in a garbage can.

When Will Wright suffered a house fire, he had to rebuild his life and all his possessions. This inspired him to create The Sims, one of the most popular games of all time.
When Chris suffered a house fire, he rebuilds his high school complete with people who could give negative two shits about him.
That still sounds like the Sims.
