The only thing I remember from MSG4 is some nigger in an APC with a monkey.

Drebin was a pretty fun character, I kinda like the idea of a merchant of death who mysteriously helps the player for unknown reasons shtick. The only thing I remember from MSG4 is some nigger in an APC with a monkey.
Yeah, John Cygan did a fantastic job. RIP.I would have paid good money for a solidus game, but the voice actor died a while back sadly. Dude was S tier.
Except his knowledge of shit makes no sense, and even his VA was like, How the fuck does Drebin know all this shit about the B&Bs? I guess you can say he worked for The Patriots but he's basically just another magical negro from the Kojster. Definitely less cringe than his post-MGS4 affairs though. Also the dude had a soda drinking, chain smoking monkey, that was just the right kind of Kojima wierd without turning into the retardation that is the entire cast of Death Stranding.
Your monthly reminder that Solidus was the hero of MGS2, he was a true patriot who loved America, and by murdering him Raiden fucks over the entire world toYeah, John Cygan did a fantastic job. RIP.
I must say though, I like how in the Japanese version Solidus has the same voice actor as Solid Snake. It helps add to the initial confusion.

I just finished MGS3 (hence the avatar change), and have absolutely zero explanations for how and why the Cobras are so bizarre but love it precisely because of that bizarre weird charm, like its a Tom Clancy novel written after the man got into Kirkbride's LSD stash. It amuses me to no end that people still expect stuff in Metal Gear to make sense.
Metal Gear Solid was at its best when Kojima wasn't trying to make it make senseIt amuses me to no end that people still expect stuff in Metal Gear to make sense.
Bit of both. Seems like it used the Subsistence re-release of MGS3 as a base since you get to use both the old top-down view and a newer OTS, with a few extra gameplay changes, but overall changes have been minimal and all the dialogue is all the same, including The Boss being based as hell and telling Snake that fairy disguise will rub off on him if he wears it for much longer.View attachment 7913918
I suspect this fuck had something to do with it.
.... So how is Metal Gear Delta? Cringe remake or actually decent? Is it actually a remake or is it basically an HD pack for MGS3?
So basically, its a completely pointless release for anyone who already owns MGS3's subsistence version, either on PS2 or in that collection? (I own both).Bit of both. The way I often describe MGS2 and 3's kookiness is that they're just the right amount of Japanese. MGS4 was when it got too Japanese.I just finished MGS3 (hence the avatar change), and have absolutely zero explanations for how and why the Cobras are so bizarre but love it precisely because of that bizarre weird charm, like its a Tom Clancy novel written after the man got into Kirkbride's LSD stash.
We also don't get an explanation for why Volgin has lightning powers either.absolutely zero explanations for how and why the Cobras are so bizarre
Fixed that for you. The kookiness isn't due to being Japanese (a lot of Japanese stories are kind of boring and lacking in kooky, honestly), its due to being Kojima. The way I often describe MGS2 and 3's kookiness is that they're just the right amount of Kojima. MGS4 was when it got too Kojima.
