With the trailer for Delta out I am not super excited. I think MGS3 holds up pretty well, and the only thing I would be interested in is watching the cutscenes with the updated visuals. They are bringing the original cast back so hopefully we get something on this level. If they had replaced Lori Alan I think people would riot at least, her monologue at the end is iconic.

I get its redundant but thats the ideal scenario. RE1, 2 and 3 have all never seen any kind of rerelease since their initial run. Also because there's no way in hell itll be better than the original. It's re4 all over again, a remake by a totally different team won't surpass one of the greatest games of all time.

At least there is pretty much no way to make MGS3 woke, it's all jungle and cold war kino the entire way thru. Worst they can do is remove Eva's lewd scenes and make her breasts smaller, but at that point you can just play the original(I doubt they censored that in the latest HD remake).
Honestly, I would like a 3D remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2 much more(Ghost Babel is just a pipe dream at this point), not even making it a proper third person game like later MGS titles but making all the models 3D and keeping the isometric camera and gameplay ala original Metal Gear Solid(minus first person Sniper and RPG sequences) plus proper voice acting

Does "original cast" include David Hayter, or are you talking about the JP casting?

While I really like the Pachinko stuff, I think they fucked Boss and Snake's faces and hair in that. The Boss isn't a dark dirty blonde. She's just a light dirty blonde. Everyone else looks great.

OK, the verse of this was fine. I don't speak Japanese but it seemed tight, it rhymed, the level of research was good...

...and then the chorus hit. Unironically laughed out loud the first time; jeez.

For the American market, they could have just asked Sir Mix-a-lot to make a special version of "Baby Got Back" for the occasion, the same way Elton John rewrote "Candle in the Wind" when Princess Di died.

If I had to guess, they're probably not re-recording anything, just reusing the existing voice lines to save money.

I remember Bethesda did something similar with Doom Eternal, made a commercial with some shitty rap. Everyone hated it.

From the little bit of MGS3D I played before returning it, it might as well have been different voice actors for how jarring it was.
