Are youThe more alert the enemy is about your overall presence, the more skilled people spawn.... I mean I can go to any base and can find at least 2-3 rank s guys. I used to sabotage the guns, armor and reinforment via merc deployment, but I shouldnt have done that.
The game nudges you to do the FOB events online as they are the sure way to get S++ and S+. But back before Konami released online events, the only way to get S++ and S+ is to raid other players FOB. There's a few seed accounts that have S++ and S+ soldiers for you to fultonAre you

kidding me?
Yeah this alone is gonna get me to just uninstall it. Punishing players for not running and gunning in a metal gear game might honestly be the most autistic thing I've ever seen in the entire franchise.

That's a neat idea. Establishing and defending one camp in the maps would have been cool. When it escalates to XOF showing up it would be the natural "pack up, we're moving" event, staying there would be really bad. Fulton everything, find a new spot, you probably saw something nicer as you explored more of the map and you probably have ideas about better placement of the things from the old base. They spent a lot of time on the gunplay and they damn sure want you to use it in the boring, empty open worlds.
After all, why else would you want to unlock all of the cool weapons if you weren't just going to use them to shoot generic goons in the empty open world or use them in the copy/paste mother bases in the online?
This is the point where I'm going to point out that MGS V should have had actual base defense missions. Basically the shit from MG Survive but instead of fight zombies and using garbage, you'd fight Soviets/Mercenaries/Rebels and use the actual shit you unlock in the game. (that also should have been what MG Survive was, since they didn't do that in the base game)
Imagine having to defend an embasies/refugee camps/actual forward operating bases (and not bullshit copy/paste oil refineries) and you have to actually set up defense perimeters and deal with tanks/choppers coming in as well?
Oh well.
Believe it or not, I actually like MGSV, at least in terms of the gameplay, which is, at the risk of sounding heretical, I think the best in the series. I agree though that story wise, the other games are far superior.
Kojima wants us to think a "Strand-type game" isn't Zelda with ziplines. While it does have many empty fields, it does allow for an immense level of freedom in how you tackle each objective.
MGSV is mechanically incredible. But the objectives are repetitive, much like any "open world" game.
If it wasn't a thematic choice, it was probably to make it not trivialize the game world for players who don't care about how big their horn is. Imagine how much a tank would trivialize the Quiet fight for example. And yet I somehow enjoy other open world games infinitely more than MGS V.
I just can't wrap my head around someone making a game like Peace Walker, and not realizing pretty quickly that MGS would benefit far more from large open levels/stages and not a large open world. He just wanted to get in on a decade old fad at that point and do an open world just to do it.
It's even more baffling that Kojima specifically locks out Tanks/Helicopters from the open world unless they're literally part of some side mission and they just sit around doing nothing when the programming is there for them to work correctly in the world.
Portable ops is still canon, they literally reference it several times in mgs 4 and the plot point of the fox retards becoming the patriots comes from thereAlways thought it was super uncreative of Kojima to basically do Big Shell THREE FUCKING TIMES
Because Kojima.
(although, wasn't it implied that he saved her from China or something? After Kojima retconned Portable Ops I mean)

Oh, I also left out that MGSV had a stellar soundtrack.

I seem to rememberkojima getting butthurt about PO having a better story than shit waller
You're gonna want to grind Charisma, along with the physical stats. $0.99 for five extra of the cigars that keep your Snake's Mood meter up; don't want him to go renegade or have a PTSD status effect.Mine is going to become the President of the God Damn United States.
If you make it through all of those areas without AOC getting hurt, you can check out her feet in the Survival Viewer.$0.99 for five extra of the cigars that keep your Snake's Mood meter up
Mgs 3 pretty much spells that the boss was set up from the start, PO just confirms itView attachment 2888055
I seem to rememberHard SoftmanFeels BadmanHot Coldman planned for the Boss to be killed, so he provided Volgin with warheads that were used in the Virtuous Mission. His motivations and plan were extremely muddled, and he's never mentioned again after Peace Walker.
