Shooting that Bodyguard single-handed has aided my shooting in general. I'm better able to press the trigger with much more speed and force and disturb the sights very little with my full size pistols and a 2-handed grip. It was alright before but now it's improved that much more. Did not expect this.

Close, but I'm thinking it's more malicious. Gay ops akin to COINTELPRO that convinces the fuddbroken to go against what's being done and it's easy because people are retarded and it's not an instant nuke of the NFA and GCA.
I bought an AP5-P, the Century/MKE MP5-K clone and I am somewhat shocked by how well it has run. Definitely rougher than the HK's I've shot out of the box but it seems to work just as well without paying 2K more. Put 120 rounds through it this evening using the push/pull sling technique and it worked great.
I've got a Choate stock for it sitting around and I am deciding whether I want to file the paperwork or go the GOA route for it.
Either way, nice little gun.

They have a special deal with Germany they get to make the MP5 true to spec if I recall due to some ancient deal they made. AP5s are widely considered good.

It's a pre-64 model 70 of course, specifically a 1959 featherweight in .270 WCF. it was rebuilt and stocked by Al Biesen. final weight was about 8 pounds. Al Biesen was a masterful stock maker, one of the best this country ever produced. traditional American style fleur-de-lis checkering and french walnut. deep carved engraving on the butt plate and grip cap. scope is a Leupold mountaineer 4x with bhueler rings. He commissioned this rifle to give his favorite rifle (called "rifle no.1") a rest. Rifle no.2 became his favorite and he hunted it the rest of his life. this specific rifle hunted africa, Scotland, Spain, Iran and all over the US and Canada.
Oconnor was an eccentric character TBH. I've read his books. it's clear he thought he knew better than everyone else in terms of musketry, but knew better than to come right out and say it. I don't think he liked very many people and I highly doubt i would have cared to know him IRL. But it is certain that he knew a whole hell of a lot about rifles.
Jack Oconnor had quiet the rivalry with Elmer Kieth. Oconnor was very well Educated. Kieth never finished school. Oconnor was eloquent. Kieth could hardly write. Oconnor liked light, high velocity bullets. Kieth liked fat heavy bullets.
