I bought an AP5-P, the Century/MKE MP5-K clone and I am somewhat shocked by how well it has run. Definitely rougher than the HK's I've shot out of the box but it seems to work just as well without paying 2K more. Put 120 rounds through it this evening using the push/pull sling technique and it worked great.
I've got a Choate stock for it sitting around and I am deciding whether I want to file the paperwork or go the GOA route for it.
Either way, nice little gun.

-Sign up for this notification and get an HK ejector when they come back in stock. They are becoming more expensive and harder to find and are considerably better than the MKE ones.


-I also recommend stocking up on a handful of extractor springs as its the most common wear part. A single stovepipe is murder on them; which is more common with the subpar extractor ejector. The FMP contract springs are solid for the money.

They have a special deal with Germany they get to make the MP5 true to spec if I recall due to some ancient deal they made. AP5s are widely considered good.

This did have an HK contract to get set up with the machines, tooling, and processes at one point. Though I beleive that expired like 30-40 years ago in the 80s.

In the MKE factory videos shows they clearly are using a lot of the same machines HK set them up with, but most the actual tooling is probably Turkish now or on it's last leg. Though having the original TDPs is gold; especially when it comes to metallurgy & tolerances (i.e. tommybuilt T7).

All that said; the MKE is hands down one of the best replications of an MP5 you can buy after owning most of them. Other than the ejectors being trash most the issues you find are detail oriented like mis-aligned sights.

Negroes buy guns from private parties, steal them or have their baby mama straw purchase them. Sure this will allow some of the (very dumb and that always get caught) "professional" arms traffickers to massively expand the territory they can purchase guns for resale from, but those retards always get caught and this decision only applies to handguns. Really this decision is largely a matter of QOL in terms of convenience and not having to pay FFL transfer fees

I don't even own a 5.56 which I should get but I'm more excited for roller delay PCCs like the stribog which I will probably buy before getting an AR solely on the fact I think their way cooler

finally got around to go shooting with the newly fancied up RXM and man it's nice. i was expecting something to go wrong due to dagger trauma as well as the whole thing being an aftermarket sharps frame on a glock clone with an aftermarket overwatch trigger and aftermarket mec gar mags but nah, it ran 200 rounds like a champ. the 17 slide was less snappy than the 19 despite the 19 having a griffin micro comp when unsuppressed. in the pursuit of rice i may down the road go all out and either get the barrel port/slide cut or a threaded barrel/comp for the 17 slide.

I have a g19 AND an rxm and the rxm is super comfy to shoot better sights, optics cut, Its the first handgun I bought a red dot for, the mags that comes with it are cheeks if I didn't work blue collar I'd edc it

Definitely makes sense. I know Steyr got into hot water many moons ago because some actual factory HS50s ended up in Iran and some other areas with strict arms restrictions placed upon them.
