Why?
Because some people are doing just that with Streets of Rage 4, screeching about how it “looks like a flash game”.

This initially made me think you were referring to the Enigma/Shuttle success/fail scenario. The one where you lose Zero forever if you fuck it up because you didn't get the parts in time/the right order/the right parts and the game calls you an asshole for causing the end of the world., i'm going to have to get good with Zero and i am not looking forward to certain thing (X5 with that forced bike part right at the start of a level,

I forget that, fuck that shitty rngThis initially made me think you were referring to the Enigma/Shuttle success/fail scenario. I read in a couple of places that when they ported it to the first X collection back in the day (the one with all those changes that were allegedly done and taken out but there's proof that swings either way so we'll never know for sure short of someone who worked on it flat out confirming) they increased the failure rate on that, but has anyone ever compared both versions to verify that somehow?I forget that, fuck that shitty rng
I remember something like that with the rng failing me more in the ps2 collectionI read in a couple of places that when they ported it to the first X collection back in the day (the one with all those changes that were allegedly done and taken out but there's proof that swings either way so we'll never know for sure short of someone who worked on it flat out confirming) they increased the failure rate on that, but has anyone ever compared both versions to verify that somehow?
I managed to get the laser to fire exactly once. To this day I have no idea how. And yet I've never had the shuttle fail on me.I read in a couple of places that when they ported it to the first X collection back in the day (the one with all those changes that were allegedly done and taken out but there's proof that swings either way so we'll never know for sure short of someone who worked on it flat out confirming) they increased the failure rate on that, but has anyone ever compared both versions to verify that somehow?
I got one question: How the fuck do i even beat it outside of Rookie Hunter mode wgen he is in his Kaiser form? The area to hit him is really short, he's huge and he hit for big damage and that's without the purple/violet beam! I already have unfortunately difficulties beating Sigma in X1 without rookie mode in hids final form because my reflexes are a bit slow against his previous form so Kaiser Sigma is way out of myskill reach
you better have the hyper cannon for extra damagekaiser sigma kicked my ass
X3's final boss is seriously my least favorite in the series (at least from what I've played). You've got such a tiny target to hit, the charged X-Buster attacks are somewhat slow, and to top it off Sigma launches a barrage of projectiles at you. And if you die, you gotta waste a lot of time grinding those sub-tanks back up.I got one question: How the fuck do i even beat it outside of Rookie Hunter mode wgen he is in his Kaiser form? It's interesting that in a way, X3 is the only game in the series where Sigma has 3 consecutive forms (feel free to correct me). Of course, once you play it you immediately realize why the other games don't do that.
I completely forgot Sigma in X4 has three forms, which is sad since that one is my favorite final boss in the X series. Once you get the pattern down, that one is really satisfying to fight. I guess I forgot about Sigma's second form because once I figured out the scythe trick he was a lot easier to deal with.I believe you're thinking of X4. That one has two phases with Sigma in his reaper form and then one more phase with him as both the gunner and the head thing, each of which has its own life bar.
But at least in that game you're given more room to dodge his attacks and you don't take obnoxious amounts of damage from hits, unlike in X3. That, and his reaper phases are easy enough once you have their patterns down (in the second phase you have to lure his scythe the second time he swings it so that it sticks to the wall instead of the floor, because that way he doesn't summon those annoying boomerangs).
at the third one they put worse music than in the first two)
Does it use the SNES or PS1 music? Because they're different in the instruments used and personally I feel the ps1 version sounds even more artificial than the SNES' midi/tracker hybrid format
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I personally prefer the PS1 soundtrack for X3. Some of the songs aren't too bad, even if they're repetitive as hell; Vile's Stage Theme and Zero's Theme both stand out to me.
