Why does she have a snatch and butt recepticel when they don't have bodily functions?
Command Mission was very horny for some reason. It has a boob ninja, a boob BDSM bot, and even lolicon bait with both a nurse and a maid outfit. The last of which was a mandatory character due to being the only healer while also being the third strongest character due to her special cat gloves.

Inafune really is the Japanese Ken Penders.
I'd have to dig it up, but Inafune also had books with his face on the cover.

Maverick Hunter X navigators for the most blatant examples.
maverick hunter.
funny, Maverick Hunter X's comms lady is the one from the Day of Sigma OVA, making her older than alia because at that time she was busy doing some researchin' with gate.

X2 is an invertebrate-fan's dream line up, and its weird how they dumped all these off kilter animals into the first sequel. Still cooler than that dumb deer, fuck him.
There's cyber peacock on x4 and flame dragoon too which makes him pissy about the deer being killed, eagle was fun and the storm owl being memorable only for his stage mission music.

Please elaborate
Read last pages, Megaman&Sonic crossover archie comics.

Day of Sigma being a thing was ridiculous.

I can only imagine how much of the budget went to that instead of making the game itself good.

I know Inafune was a producer but not one person looked at that and said "this seems like a waste of money"?

Day of sigma is only good for the VA, plus it goes wild all around and ends up conflicting with X4 cutscenes especially on the part where sigma gets his scar and how sigma got infected by the zero capsule virus as he got fucked up by zero and that allowed him to be infected, zero having his crystal broken also made him get infected by the virus too making him "good", even cain wasn't spared from being fucked up in that OVA by putting him in some sort of life-extending wheelchair when on X2 he was fine and dandy.

So what makes MHX bad in your opinion?

Oh, to be clear I don't think MHX is bad. It's just it probably could have been better and we probably could have gotten more of them if Inafune:

A) Didn't put it in PSP for some Godforsaken reason.

and

B) Didn't blow half the budget or so on an OVA.

I agree completely when it comes to Day of Sigma, considering how hard that OVA fucks the lore of the games.

I'm still not sure why the PSP release was an issue considering that it was, in fact, a popular console with decent sales. I'm still more of the mind that MHX failed due to poor marketing and a general consensus among the fans that it was a bad game (it's not, and Vile Mode is actually pretty neat).

But meanwhile everyone seemed to love Powered Up.

maybe wanting to do 3D was his idea? trying to change the world a bit and all.

it wasn't just the ova, there was many animated parts on it, maybe inafune was trying to push for a anime especially since there's the manga.

Speaking of Day of Sigma, can anyone explain that scene in the missile base? That always confused the fuck out of me. What did X hope to accomplish by dropping his arm like that?

What budget? the first couple or so minutes in the OVA?

My issue with the X remake is how ugly it looks compared to the classic. I had heard about inconsistencies but didn't look to deep into it.

The BANE of Inafune and anything he touches is he wants to make a "deep story" but he is absolutely dedicated to going full rule of cool instead of coherence of any kind. Anybody that has touched anything by Tetsuya Nomura knows what I mean.

But I'm a firm believer that classic Mega Man was smart for keeping it simple instead of turning into a pretzle (outside of 8, thankfully that didn't catch on). If I want to play a Mario game, I want to play a Mario game, I give 0 shits what stupid idea bowser had that year. Same deal with Classic and X, I give 0 fucks why there are 8 to whatever assholes generating mayhem, I just want to shoot them, steal their shit and shoot something else. Well that, and that they leave the franchise actually rest and have a strong entry every 4 years instead of lile 10 halfassed ones in 2.

I think it's becuase Inafune liked the X manga going on. That had more interesting stories and characterization despite the art for the human faced characters looking absolutely dogshit.

you can see my reply above where it has the cutscenes and compare both intros, lol.

Yeah, i'm watching the MHX's cutscenes and it has a ton of dialogue and shiet when on X1 it barely had it, sadly i could not find a video where all X1's cutscenes and the intro are included so i must post two videos about the same damn thing.

funny how on the 2nd video it has so little dialogue and it's probably thanks to the cartridge memory size and that's a huge plus, it's literally assholes causing mayhem that need to be shot into scrap metal.

Sigma told him to disarm, so he did, probably thinking it would de-escalate the situation.

Because you know X is just a naive little baby at this point. Definitely.

Slightly unrelated, but I will say I like the dialog exchanges in a New Game+ run of MHX since, for whatever reason, X is a hell of a lot more mature and some of the scenes are rewritten to reflect that.

I don't buy that the manga had that much of an influence.

If that were true, I maintain that we would have seen some kind of cameo of the mermaid OC that the author threw in as a girlfriend for X. Especially in MHX when they had the opportunity to do something like that.

In general, the manga was also more X-focused. Inafune would not have went for that. The manga is mostly remembered now for meme tier content like the crying, the mermaid OC, and for some reason Bit from X3 saying Merry Christmas.

The main issue is "rule of cool" as one poster put it, plus Inafune's obsession with making Zero fit it. And to an extent it works, Zero has more fans than X for a reason. It's also almost certainly the real reason why X is a baby, so Zero looks better.

When I refer to "Maverick Hunter", I am refering to the cancelled game in the style of Metroid Prime. Not very familiar with the mainline X series.

But also hilarious to confirm that X Dive really did cannibalize the PSP game. You would think that in Japanese styled fashion they would just come up with a short 1-2 minute recap intro cutscene for of all the previous games major plot points and pick one canon storyline to go with or just reboot the series. From what it sounds like, its an example of a massive lack of or refusal of communication from multiple different studios where all of these conflicting storylines are coming from when it comes to the games vs expanded media.

It doesnt help that they constantly re-release the old games and don't remake any of them with Megaman 11's engine.

usually when mangas get a good "reception" they often push for anime adaptations to get money.
also on the end of X2:

fucking inafune, X was the one that kept scrapping sigma you little shit, while you watched it from reploid afterlife.

and the crown jewel which probably made ina cry in his shower and double down on his "writer's pet" mode:

i knew you were talking about the mega man prime, i just quoted you for funzies.
still, one joke you can make as to why it wasn't greenlit it was because it focused on X and had no space for Zero so inafune didn't like it. however you can feel "spiderman 3" vibes out of it and i believe it's something they weren't willing to risk for whatever reason, maybe going against edgy artistics.

Kek. Zero really was turned into "Cool OSee donut steel."

The original Japanese only had it as X must "fight" Zero, not so much kill, if I recall. Except it's not really very shocking since that was a thing in X2, so it all really ends up being very stupid.

As for Maverick Hunter...

Uh, guys? Inafune was OK with it to start with, you have to remember he was enamored with Western devs at the time. And the reason why he would be A-OK with it:

It was also confirmed that a trilogy was planned, and by the third game in its series, Zero would be playable and forced to destroy X, who had grown incredibly powerful and infinitely intelligent over the course of two games.

I hope you are all seeing a pattern by now.

So Inafune wanted his cool OC to kill megaman. wasn't his wish granted?

It seems what happened was that IntiCreates almost got to do it in MMZ, but they only worked with Inafune and somehow didn't think to consult the rest of Capcom, who apparently kiboshed it when they found out.

So yeah, Inafune had been for some reason trying for literal years to be allowed to have Zero kill X after being told no!

The key line there is that Maverick Hunter was canceled in 2010, which just so happens to be the year Inafune left Capcom.
