I hope you are all seeing a pattern by now.
somehow didn't think to consult the rest of Capcom, who apparently kiboshed it when they found out.
as i said it was a joke but that's the reason Copy X exists, so in a way X can be destroyed by Zero, plus zero was supposed to be permaded on X1 but was brought back due to inafune faggotry, it's really fucking annoying seeing that shit as he wanted badly for his OCDonutSteel to take the main character spotlight, all three megamans from snes had professor F as a director so it's noticeable that inafune's faggotry didn't have much power, zero being brought back up as a collectable on X2 was dumb because once a reploid is dead he's dead like no cyber soul and shiet, reploid soul is also a running theme of megaman Xtreme series which is also the bullshit reason as to why some reploids can be "revived" based on their combat data or something and it gets worse once they bring the mother elf into play.
So Inafune wanted his cool OC to kill megaman. wasn't his wish granted?
he got cockblocked many times, that's the reason X's "elf spirit" shows up to him in a ending on one of the MMZ games and "passes the torch" to zero as the protector of humanity and reploids.
all of that to be forgotten and thrown in the trash by legends and as much as i dislike the running theme of that game i'm still thankful for how it binned inafune's faggotry towards zero, to make it better they made the megaman name as a dominant trait in the robots with MegaMan <Name> specification in the carbon island.

Speaking of Copy X, it's funny how he seemed like a cool design and subversion of X, until you find out it was more or less supposed to be an anime version of this guy in every way:

Yeah, IntiCreates are pretty much hacks. Everybody at the time thought it was just them doing JRPG things with the seraph thing, but nope, they were just going whole hog on ripping this one movie off.

its amazing the blaster master zero series is so well done writing, ignoring the fanservice. why couldn't gunvolt have that consistency?

Speaking of Gunvolt, they made the bouncy edgeboy and his robo sidekick way more interesting characters than the main guy himself. From what I've seen, even people who don't like Copen think h's more interesting than Gunvolt

The original Japanese only had it as X must "fight" Zero, not so much kill, if I recall. Except it's not really very shocking since that was a thing in X2, so it all really ends up being very stupid.

As for Maverick Hunter...

Uh, guys? Inafune was OK with it to start with, you have to remember he was enamored with Western devs at the time. And the reason why he would be A-OK with it:

I hope you are all seeing a pattern by now.
It's deeeep man! And super coooool! The hero becomes the villian and the villian the hero! Never seen narrative!

I never knew Halo X had such a chain of retarded ideas behind it, just pure magic.

Seeing how you chaps know the deepest MegaLore, where does Legends fit in all of Inafune's masturbatory exercise to make it all about zero? I only played a chunk of the first one.

Far end of the timeline. Post apocalyptic, naturally born humans are dead, reploids are gone, everyone left alive are weird organic cyborgs.

I only played the first one, Gunvolt is just the most generic stoic pretty boy anime protag. So not surprised nobody gives a shit about him. Copen I assume becomes playable in later entries since in the first one it just seems like setup. He seems lile the standard consumed by vengeance cunt that mellows out. Is he at least fun to play as?

... okaaaay.
Guess who was an executive producer on Gunvolt but not on Blaster Master Zero.

Just saying. It might not explain everything, but it can't have helped.
I swear man, Inafune jacks off furiously to anime like sword art online.

They could have just said something about an AI chip instead of all this cyber elf weeb faggotry. They are androids and its not like reconstruction is impossible on a technical level. Zero returning is not nearly as egregious as optimus prime dying repeatedly and then being brought back by a magic rubix cube or memoryholed in every other series.

I just like to think of the HK droid factory from Kotor 2 when it comes to reviving reploids. They are mass produced after all.

It doesn't, maybe it would be about finding zero's oldass corpse in elysuim or that he's the master system cpu or something if he used his shit midas touch in legends 3.

They are only truly dead after MML2 because volnutt deletes all genetic data of OG humans, shutting down the master system, MML3 was supposedly about the master system reactivating and going rouge since there's no more humans to care and tend for.

in mega man extreme 2/zero series it's literally magic rubik's cube as X and Zero investigate why reploids are having their "souls" deleted while their bodies remain intact on some bumfuck island on zero series it's the mother elf that stores reploid souls and can rewrite reploid dna on the go to fight sigma virus, on megaman 2 if you collect all zero's pieces he mocks sigma for not studying all of his blueprints after destroying the fakeass black zero.

Well, part of the issue is the fact it's married to MMZ lore, which is even dumber as fuck.

As for reviving the series, it should stay dead. I would not trust modern Capcom to not throw in, say, fujoshi bait nowadays. Or tons of completely unneeded dialogue. Et cetera.

lmao its just like the ancient anime memes described with a ridiculously convoluted way to say a character is a gary stu.

Yeah the lore is stupid. What really matters is that the games are enjoyable but vary wildly in quality depending on the series and time they were made in.

Really wouldnt trust Taicom to not fuck up everything and turn megaman into gunvolt/anime waifu exposition speedbump simulator. They already made their shitty rico storyline canon. Regardless of whether anyone but whales or youtube viewers will ever get far enough to see it.

Remember the initial 3DS release of Gunvolt 1 where they replaced an entire mission briefing with an explanation of the stage boss' neopronouns and then "xey" get murdered by an anti-reploid edgelord before you can even fight xem? God that was fucking hilarious.

I was disappointed there wasn't more dumb shit like that. It's also the least awkwardly written part. The rest is borderline ESL shit. Everything they tried to translate read like it was sped through and summarized but for the made up part they suddenly knew how to write a coherent sentence.

The later releases use a better translation but the base story wasn't any good to begin with. I want Yoshinori Kawano back. Zero, Legends and Dead Rising 1/2 weren't Shakespeare, but at least I cared about what was happening. I guess the final battle in Gunvolt 2 was sort of emotional, but that's about it.

I should probably explain this one for the uninitiated.

Basically, Taicom seems to be making it so their DeviantArt tier Zero recolor OC ViA is the original Maverick Virus manifest.

This is impressive, because it is about as dumb as IntiCreates making Mega Man 10 have a similar virus named Roboenza, then turning around and saying the Maverick Virus is actually Roboenza coming back down from space all along in some MMZ timeline.

Wait I thought roboenza was the precursor to the virus.

nah it was a coincidence they couldn't miss out on pulling out of some stinky ass and don't forget Evil Energy made two games before roboenza.

Nope.

It "mutated" in space, came down back to Earth, and settled into Zero's capsule, where it proceeded to leak out. Wily sealed Zero because he had a brain problem that made him berserk, and Wily could not fix it.

When Zero fought Sigma, the virus turned Zero from berserk/evil to good. Almost everyone else had a standard effect. There's a little more in that Sigma was also special in that it somehow turned him into an MMZ Cyber Elf, which is how he kept coming back.

That's the story. It's all an accident caused by Roboenza. Wily's Fortress in Mega Man 10 is on a space elevator.

Any questions? Aside from "what were they smoking and where can I get some of it."

Did they ever connect the timeline by illustrating anything about the apocalyptic war that happened some time between the ZX and Legends eras?

What happened to all of the space elevators that existed for centuries in the X games? Couldnt roll and bonne just use one of them to get volnutt back?

Taicom does know they were referencing that horror movie and not the religious text when they named one of them Jakob’s elevator?
