I have all of those carts on GBA but I'm still happy because it means somewhere inside capcom's festering dungeon, the asshole bastard who keeps pushing monster hunter over and over is going to have to find better excuses to not greenlight legends or another tron bonne.

A MM Legends collection would be super to have.

Ive heard such mixed reviews about the battle network games

I played the first two and they were fun but the later ones were splitting the content in two games like pokemon and I didn't bother playing them.

The dungeons are bland mazes, the puzzles are annoying, and the stories are mostly juvenile. However, the combat is really satisfying, music is incredible, and the art is mostly fantastic. The games are imperfect but worth playing.

If you're interested in battle network at all just play BN3 and ignore the rest, and don't expect the plot to blow you away. It's got the single largest amount of post-game content I've ever seen in a traditional JRPG and as a poor kid I think I had 200-odd hours in it on bus rides and still didn't finish everything. It makes any further sequels feel unnecessary.

Alternately if you want the combat without the dungeon crawl go grab One Step From Eden in the steam sale since it's a love letter to the series distilled down to an arcade format.

BN takes a nosedive from 4 onwards, if you're going to try out one game, as ducktales mentioned, go with 3.

My first experience with Mega Man was The Wily Wars. Us Americans could only experience it via The Sega Channel since they had "Exclusive" games on it (and by exclusive I mean you could play Japan/Euro games in USA). For those that don't know, it's a 16-bit version of the 3 games plus it's own "Wily Tower" game after you beat said 3 games. Wily tower is where you face 3 robot masters and Wily with whatever weapons you want from the first 3 games.

The music of 2 and 3 from that version is fucking orgasmic to the ears. You compare the NES version of Bubbleman and Quickman to the Genesis version and the NES versions don't even hold a candle to them.

And yet, I'm all but certain we're still not gonna see Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.
I was WROOOOONG

Well, that's exactly what I expected. Mainline games only, none of the side ones, no new modes like randomizers or anything. It's exactly what I expected to a T, and it wouldn't have taken much to surprise me, Just toss in, like, RockBoard as a bonus or something.

Well, I'll be shocked if they actually fixed up 4 and 5's terrible translations. They probably won't. And whaddaya wanna bet they'll leave in those times when Lan said "damn" in 2?

The one I always remember from 3 is a Greek-styled fountain shaped like a woman with a water pitcher in one of the parks. The examine text for it is "This statue has a hole you can jack in" and holy shit I have no idea how that got past localization.

Any opinions on Nico Evaluates, if anyone knows who that is?

Fuck me that sucks. and I bet they won't. I don't see anyone on that comments page hoping for even the most minor of quality of life improvements.

That and there's only 3 games in Mega Man Legends at all, which a collection does not make (Mega Man Zero Collection for the DS had 4)

3 also had two versions; white and Blue.
From back in the day i heard Blue was way better because it has An extra Boss and better exclusive chips.

They could include the mobile game "Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on 5 Islands!", and the cancelled MML3 demo. I think that'd be cool.

MMBN 3 Kinda sucks to be honest, it's almost great but the fact half the chips are bad and the weird lag between attacks kills it for me.

MMBN 6 on the other hand is absolute gold, smooth as butter and with so many * chips the ability to pull of some fuckin' nutso combo's.

Also as bad as it was 4 (And 5 but I LIKE 5) has the single best moral choice system in any video game I've other played Dark Chips working like performance enhancing drugs and perma removing 1 HP every time you use them for pure fucking power is a very cool especially with the fact the more you use them the more you sort of have to use them with Dark Megaman cutting off a lot of powerful chips an Full Syncro.

Hyped as fuck for this collection.
