Local Gamestop has a used copy of the Mega Man X collection for Switch that has all of the MMX games for about $20. Should I get it? I never played any of the MMX games save for 1 and 2 and I only played MMX2 a couple of times at a relative's house and didn't get very far in it.

Are any of the sequels any good?
No

The physical card only has Mega Man X collection part 1, which only includes X1-X4. The reset require a download of Mega Man X Collection part 2, and I doubt the download code is included/usable. X Collection Part 2 is 20 dollars on it's own in the E shop.

They're ripping you off selling it at 20 used. It's basically selling Part 1 at the new price without informing you.

Edit: The X games on their own are pretty fun. I enjoyed all of them up until X7, but that's more because I just never played any of the ones on PS2 to know about them. I've heard mixed things but I'm sure they're not awful to have in the collection.

They had it used for $20 like a week after it came out because you only get half of the collection on a cartridge. The half with the three SNES and the PS1 game, not the other half with two PS1 and two PS2 games, just to waste your memory card space.

X Legacy Collection 2 is available on a cartridge in Japan, if you're willing to import it for more than it's worth.

Also, the Xbone and PS4 versions came with both collections on discs, just to really twist the knife.

Damn, where the hell is Mega Man 12 already. Or DLC for 11. I'm surprised there's still no Battle Network collection too.

Anyway, I'm laying down the law (top 5 Mega Man Classic series):

1) Mega Man & Bass
2) Mega Man 7
3) Mega Man V
4) Mega Man 10
5) Mega Man 8

I don't think I've ever seen a list like that. And speaking of which, it's too bad there's no Rockman World collection either. I know about the canceled GBA version, but they're just Game Boy games, you'd think they'd have one by now.

Anyway, mine:
  1. Mega Man 2
  2. Mega Man 9
  3. Mega Man 5
  4. Mega Man 8
  5. Mega Man 1

Your list is more typical, but I've rarely seen anyone rank MM1 in their top 5. Sometimes it doesn't even make top 10.

If the GB leak for NSO is real I'd be surprised if they didn't include the Mega Man games. I think we'll be seeing them soon.

MM1 is an early childhood game for me. Also, it has the best remake of any Mega Man game, Powered Up, featuring the first negro robot master.

It's a good remake but I personally gotta put Mega Man Maverick Hunter X above it. They should remake more Mega Man games actually, they turn out good. Mega Man Battle Network would benefit from it greatly.

The story given was that they didn't know where the game files were to create said compilation and by the time they did, the GBA was dead and the 3DS was the system of now. So we got them as virtual console releases (which will be lost again once the May shutdown of the VC store happens).

I wonder how they’ll handle BN5 since it also got a DS port with different music, voice clips, and some other stuff.

And I really hope these games have some actual new feature. The X collections had boss rushes that combined bosses from other games and MMLC2 at least had new challenges and modern ports of games that couldn’t easily be emulated, so I hope this has something to make the collection worthwhile for people who have already played the games. Even online battling/trading alone would make it worthwhile.

Ofcourse it's two bundles, can't have them in one pack while they are all GBA games.(i expect the fysical edition to be like the other ones: half the games missing)

How Will they take Care of the version diffrences? Include them all?

The jp only games and the gamecube one is missing but now only legends and StarForce remains
I figured that'd be the case, I wish they'd put all the "other" Mega Man games (spinoffs, JP games, etc) into a collection.

They need to include that. At minimum local play but honestly they need online.
